  1. @Raptorsin7 yes I load the dry bud into vape. I don’t smoke joints for two reasons. First, I love high intensity workouts and I need my lungs and body to be 100%. Secondly, joints mess up my tolerance and dopamine levels. I get lethargic and my mind is cloudy when I get “joint high”. I have more anxiety and tend to get mildly depressed (weed hangover) the next day if I smoke joints. You also waste a bunch of flower with joints. A little goes a long way with a vaporizer, but it’s all about the quality of bud. Vaping is all about the smooth buzz and clear mind. Perfect for meditation and introspection.
  2. @Raptorsin7 I’m a huge proponent of smoking weed before meditation and sometimes self inquiry. I never talk about it on here bc it will got shot down really quick by Leo and others. I get it though, some people get anxiety and really nasty side effects from smoking weed. But! For some it really enhances their lives in a positive way. I’m one of those people for sure. My meditations are 10-20x as powerful when I smoke vs not. Only thing that I find important is finding very high quality trees and using a vaporizer. I never use concentrates, bongs or pipes or joints, not in years. Vape only!
  3. @Raphael walking your dog without a leash is foolish and irresponsible. Especially since you know (and you definitely know) that your dogs bark at other dogs. You should apologize to that man for having to defend himself on a nice walk with his kid. You wanting to “explain your side” is completely defensive and selfish. You were wrong and that’s it. We all fuck up, just be honest about it. We are all human. Just to be clear, I don’t in any way condone hurting or hitting animals in anyway. That guys who hit your dog is kinda a dick to (unless he really feared for his kid or dog or himself and needed to defend himself).
  4. @arlin I’m 4 years in and I’ve seen every video but I go back to the earlier stuff all the time. They are the best videos for personal development and that’s something you can see results in fairly quickly in your day to day life. Yup, it takes years for everyone so you can relax here. Leo’s stuff got really advanced in the last 3 years because he started doing psychedelics. Stronger and more powerful as the years went on up to today. It’s really difficult (even for me) to resonate with all his new material Bc I don’t trip like he does. so, either get on the heavy psychedelic use or keep doing what you’re doing and hang in there for years and years. It’s definitely worth it, just a bit slower of a process.
  5. @CreamCat I know I was being sarcastic earlier but truly I’m just trying to help you. There’s no way for you to know this but I’m very qualified to talk about working out and energy. I’m an established and successful personal trainer. I see anywhere from 6-12 people a day, 6 days a week and it’s always a battle of energy. My biggest problem with clients is lack of energy due to poor diet, stress, sleep and lifestyle. Any time is a good time to workout. We were built for it, it’s in our dna, all you have to do is start and the body naturally takes over and puts you into a “work state”. On a separate note, you may want to look into why you’re so tired in the afternoons and need naps. That’s pretty rare unless your 70
  6. @Giulio Bevilacqua noise cancelling headphones and binaural beats. When I travel that’s how I do it, works like a charm ??
  7. @Mezanti Haha haha - yes grow a beard like every other guru. Don’t forget the white robe.
  8. @CreamCat this is wildly subjective and has no real relevance. That’s like saying, facing north during sleep increases wakefulness and productivity. also if you hit the gym with a little more energy maybe you’d workout longer than 30min
  9. @EntheogenTruthSeeker dude you need to let your body heal, you’re in recovery. I wouldn’t mess with your brain chemistry by introducing more substances. If LSD and 5MEO are anything like shrooms, you will feel like ass the next day because you played with your brains pleasure center again and that’s what’s causing you to fee so shitty right now. my advice is to ride it out till you can be happy on your own, then go do psychedelics. Let yourself heal.
  10. @Finland3286 I met my long term (4years) girlfriend this way. I worked behind the desk and she was a member (gym). I beat myself up for a solid month working up the courage to ask her out. So glad I did. go do it!
  11. @Average Investor I have something called a “Berkey” and it’s awesome! It uses two 9inch ceramic filters to purify my tap water. Love it, but pricey. $300ish
  12. @Smurfinstein Is meditation enjoyable to you? It may be that you’re not giving yourself enough time to progress through the stages of meditation. If you’re getting distracted by trying to focus, concentrate or watch phenomena that’s a sign. Are you aware of all the sensations in your body, the electric hum and vibrations? In my own personal practice it takes 20-25 min before the magic happens but the ramp up to that is extremely enjoyable as well.
  13. @Smurfinstein that’s interesting that you’ve been meditating for 7 years and are have trouble doing 20 min. When I first started I did 5 min and committed to daily practice. By week 6 I was at 30 min and then 45min and so on. It happened organically. This has also been the case for my girlfriend and meditation clients. It’s also odd that you’re an ultra runner which takes crazy amounts of emotional labor and determination yet you can’t sit for 20min. Something doesn’t add up. Can you describe exactly what you do and the environment and setting before you sit for meditation? Also can you explain when you’re daily life is like? Career, downtime, routine and bad habits/addictions? This will help me give you the best advice.
  14. @Raptorsin7 I agree, invaluable. But that doesn’t mean we can’t discuss things. That’s what forums are, an open discussion about a topic. It doesn’t always have to be criticism or arguments.
  15. @arlin not a fan of whey but have you tried egg white protein? It’s much better for you and cheaper. I own a personal training business and am also an athlete. Egg white is the way to go in my opinion.
  16. @Leo Gura to get to the stage where you’re experiencing arising and passing away and having insights into impermanence doesn’t take 10,000 hours. I was there in my first year of daily meditation practice. You’ve said multiple times in past videos it takes 10,000+ hours to master meditation but it never stopped me and look how much actualized.org has grown. We know it’s hard, you’re not losing people by being upfront. If anything you’re weeding out people who aren’t serious about the work.
  17. @Truth Addict just doing my part
  18. @arlin lol about 50% responded with random advice, 40% responded in some spiritual talk and 10% gave you an actual answer to your inquiry, lol. Ooh The internet ... ?
  19. @ardacigin he (and you) never mentioned that all of this done through insight meditation. Years of it. This isn’t something you “realize” without a serious practice (Or psychedelics). You must experience the arising and passing away many many times before it has any real impact on off the cushion life. All of these insights must be cultivated and worked through. I love how he makes its seem so easy and doesn’t mention anything about meditation. ??‍♂️
  20. I was talking with a buddy yesterday, explaining to him what it’s like to raise your awareness and consciousness through mediation and all these actualized.org practices, etc.. He asked me a question that I couldn’t answer. Wondering what some of your take is on this. (context: we were discussing fear and the ego) ... “is someone like a hero in the moment they do something completely selfless with no regard to their personal lives experiencing a form of ego death or higher states of consciousness?” An example he used was a teacher using himself as a shield to save kids from a shooter. Or something along those lines. Whats the difference between them and say a firefighter? What do you think?
  21. @iTommy I’ve dealt with a similar situation and I sued my roommate. It wasn’t pretty but it was easy, just proved to the judge we were in a contract and she bailed without paying. That’s what contracts are for.
  22. I’m at this point in my development where I see all my thoughts as complete bullshit. I can brake them down and see them almost instantaneously as ego, survival and some role I’m playing. They have no truth whatsoever and it’s like I’m living a lie. So weird!
  23. @Truth Addict I don’t mean to push back but can you see how contradicting and confusing you’re being? Anyway, I get what you’re trying to say. Thank you for the help ??
  24. @Rebec if you weren’t working what would you be doing?
