  1. Its more that they either have some things they need to work through with their psychology (hence why personal development is so important) or they have yet to find that one passion.
  2. Prayer is basically affirmations and surrender. Probably helps in programming the sub conscious to align with your conscious goals. https://tomdas.com/2016/01/26/non-dual-devotion-worship-and-prayer/
  3. The ego is an illusion, as is everything. You still experience ego and that will persist for as long as the body functions. We are in this illusion, so why not play it? Its good that you are content, but that doesn't mean to do nothing, it also doesn't mean to do something. Follow your desires. You can be content doing nothing, but do you want to do that?
  4. You can't just teach a new trick by telling them. You gotta break it down. The steps to get to that final result. Ultimately that will lead to them breaking down their own psychology, but that is a hard thing for many to do.
  5. Those things would be considered bad to the ego, but enlightenment also entails letting go of that and accepting all the bullshit. You change with every realization so there really is no clear guide to tell someone if they should or should not seek it. Its a risk they'll have to take.
  6. Ever looked into cognitive behavioral therapy?
  7. There is absolute truth and relative truth. Beware of half truths. The universe runs on paradox after all.
  8. I think you already know the answer to this. This stuff takes time. We used to crucify people who had and spread these awakenings. The road to mass enlightenment is a long one. Well beyond these bodies can sustain themselves.
  9. Growth is a new change. With each new experience it compounds with previous experiences to expand yourself. Kind of funny that is how you can get change often by doing the same thing over and over.
  10. Or possibly just a shaman that brings amanita muscaria mushrooms with reindeer who love the stuff in siberia.
  11. Different teachings that overall lead you to the same end goal.
  12. Communicating nonduality with a dualistic language is hard. Thats why you have to look beyond the words and what they point to. Figure out what they are trying to get across instead of just taking the words at face value. Otherwise you'd be running in circles of contradictions.
  13. No need for it, correct. But that doesn't mean you don't desire to. You can really unleash your potential when you don't have money over your head stressing you out. I mean you could say why not take it further and see how you could solve this puzzle? Its fun for many!
  14. Shouldn't be a meditation vs self-inquiry thing. Thats a very this or that mentality. If one of those works, good for you, if both of those works, good for you. Follow what works for you, no single technique applies to everyone. Leo would probably recommend both. Meditation is good for silencing the mind, self inquiry is good for deconstructing thoughts.
  15. Don't date unless you can get out of this. I don't think you'll truly enjoy it unless you actually have the freedom to progress as you feel is necessary. It'll be stress and it'll make the girl feel bad and rejected because you gotta hide it. When you turn 18 you can at least legally stand your ground (or whatever the age of independence is for you) At that point your parents can't have total control and you can be more free with how you live.
  16. If you can let go and let yourself feel whatever you are feeling, remind yourself you are ok, you'll be fine. I worked up to 1.5mg of lsd before I even got into this work. The number one factor I found to influence trips is to not resist.
  17. When the body ceases to function in the configuration it is in remember that's only a set of moments in the whole. It is always alive and dead simultaneously unless you consider only a specific moment. But dying is only relevant to the ego for your true self is all of existence.
  18. Consider this: existence and non existence is a duality that must collapse in the absolute.
  19. Do nothing. When the negatively perceived feelings happen then let it happen. The more you experience such discomfort the more you can learn to navigate it.
  20. That thinking and speech are different. Sounds like attachment to speaking what you believe to be true. Lying to yourself will stray away from spiritual growth but lying to others depends on your value of vocalizing it. The only reason to speak the truth is because you desire it. If you desire to lie then lie. All else is just middle man nonsense.
  21. Unless you compare it with somebody you find extremely unattractive. Ina generalized sense we desire beauty because it equates to healthiness and good genes
  22. Yep its done well for progress and prediction, but it only goes so far.
  23. You can set out to directly experience the wants and intents of all woman possible all your life and it would still be an incomplete analysis. Only enough to grasp a fraction of women.
  24. @Mikael89 @ground Sounds like you both are on different pages in terms of what you mean behind words like nothing and existence.
  25. Your view may be a further step forward in reducing suffering, but that does not make it more correct, or right. Its just his overall goals and yours aren't aligned. Reality favors only the outcome that happens. In terms of relativity all POVs are at the same time accurate and inaccurate.
