@Emanyalpsid The confusion is quite simple. It has to do with the word consciousness. You do know a single word can hold multiple meanings yeah? In spirituality this points to the fundamental substance of everything. But you still interpret it in the traditional sense localized to the human bodys functions. In spirituality consciousness was there even before life even formed. So the end of consciousness in relation to humans or life in general really has no bearing here. We are made out of and created by consciousness. And when we as egos die consciousness will continue to manifest itself. Consider reality the creation of a bigger infinite mind on the same way you can generate people living their lives in their head convinced of their reality. You are really no different.

I did my first lsd trip, my first trip on any psychedelics alone. I was all good vibes and excitement and so it made my trip effortless. Know yourself and your emotions. At the time rationalizing any fear down was pretty easy for me and I knew that.

Remember that practicing spirituality isn't a race. You got all your life to do this work. So don't feel like you gotta rush it. Just add supplements of it in any free time you have. Figure out your longer term goals and life, how limited the opportunities are and set some priorities. We are all about the long term here.

You gotta open yourself to all perspectives. They all have something to offer. The goal of learning all is building a more holistic perspective of reality. Don't get attached to spirituality. It's an easy trap.

For me it was quite literally the epitome of nonduality. Just clicked. All is one. There was no me or identification with anything. It was just pure unity. it was one of the most blissful States I have ever been in but that varies with people

Depends on the people. Personally I have no interest to start a family and sustainability doesn't matter to me. I'm in the relationship for the now. If it lasts one day, a week, or a year I can be content with it. Yes love does not imply a need to have sex but the beauty and intimate personal bonding sex can bring shouldn't be ignored. It's just one of the many routes love can manifest itself and how love manifests often depends on the individuals.

@Gabriel Antonio What do you think spirituality is? It's not something separate from actuality

I've never done nofap but from my understanding it is about self discipline to not become a slave to your lust. Lust is something to be managed or else it might skew your intentions. You can give into it if you so choose to but do you think it will do you any good? And also what would that say about your ability to become content with how you feel instead of running away from it? (Sexual gratification desires is something I need work on too) If you do go for gratification do a one night stand or something. Getting into a relationship out of lust could backfire.

Seems definitely too be possible. But first you must put aside the idea that your views and projections are correct. Demonizing people you see as evil. But then you realize they aren't actually evil I'm just shunning what I don't like. Then I see that's not fact just my preference and so I begin to love people in the same way I can love someone with a different video game preference. These realizations opened me up a lot.

Set your priorities. You let her not allow you to do spiritual work. She can't actually stop you. Is spiritual work important to you? Do you want a girlfriend who would project her own beliefs onto you and not let you do what is important to you? You have to talk this out with her. There are a few routes that can happen. 1. She agrees to let you and you do it. 2. She doesn't agree but you do it anyway and she deals with it. 3. She doesn't agree and you let her desires override yours. 4. She doesn't agree and you break up with her to do it. Stick to what feels true to you. You have your own path. You'll have many girlfriends but also many chances to do spiritual work. You are going to have to decide what you want out of life.

The big problem is where does consciousness end? Sure our reality could be a simulation of other beings but are those beings not consciousness?

@Emanyalpsid Getting hit in the head with a baseball bat does not disprove that there is no fundamental source of everything. You get too caught up with linguistics and don't see the pointers. Leo has already said he is full of shit. It's why he says to not believe him blindly. But he has also said not everyone is equally full of shit. You can't do anything with the everyone is full of shit insight unless you become good at measuring it in others and in yourself. He just encourages people to keep validating and verifying before letting the ego take over and assume you've got it all figured out. Also the more you progress you can see the mistakes of those who haven't progressed as far. How? Because you used to be in the exact same spot. On the topic of psychedelics seeing the nervous system as a filter and psychedelics altering that filter seems to be a good way of seeing it. What you experience is what is actually happening. The internal and external world aren't as separate as people think

It's good to get exposed to as many ideas as possible but be wary before you actually side with one. They all give insight but each one alone will only give you some limited idea. Also go out and verify this shit.

Seems to be the case. As of now right now I haven't had any timeouts. I'm curious as to what you did to try and resolve it.

@Paul92 I hope you can heal, friend. Your post yells anger. The most important part of this journey is validating and finding answers for yourself. This is a journey you'll have your entire life. Are you posting here because you actually think it is bullshit or because you are trying to convince yourself it is bullshit? This is all free information and nobody is forcing you to follow it. I understand your emotions must be strong right now, but take responsibility for how you are. Leave the forums, if it is not benefiting you.

Remember the map is not the territory. Reality doesn't follow mathematics. Mathematics follows reality. But no model could ever fully encompass reality. Laws are descriptions of consistent experiences. But it also runs on an assumption it will stay consistent. Models are projections we create to understand. But you gotta understand the difference between the model and actuality. A sphere is not a sphere. The concept of a sphere is meant to point to a specific experience. There are an infinite amount of models you can create to describe reality. But the models themselves are not reality.

Stay detached from the ideas. The ego likes to latch onto everything. Be mindful. Do criticisms make you feel attacked? That's one example on how people can start to identify with the ideas being held. Leo's video on ideology provides a lot of good insights on these mechanisms.

Culture in general is very cult like. Traditions and shunning for not living or behaving the way they expect you to. It's all about expectations and people flip out when things don't match.

I skimmed his video on nonduality and Leo and it seems like he is criticizing Leo for the followers Leo constantly is trying to turn around. Those that mentally masturbate. Concept without practice. Denying the ego experience for oneness (funny enough not holistic) Using all is illusion as escapeism when real and illusion are one in the same. This is zen-devilry is it not? That's what he seems to be pointing out. But his followers seem to attribute the ideological dogmatic followers of Leo as "Leo's cult" and then shame Leo for it.

Wouldn't it be more of xenophobia than racism? Seems like racism adopted xenophobia under it's name these day
