Music plays on an emotional component. Listen to whatever music appeals to you. I wouldn't worry about all this low vs high consciousness labeling. There's no rush to becoming some enlightened monk.

Went to 2 zomboy concerts which is dubstep. It's just people jumping up and down with their hands in the air. Sounds lame but when you are there doing it with everyone it is a great experience.

You could say LOA is describing a mechanism of the subconscious. Whatever you drill into it, it's gonna try to keep doing. It's like asking your mind for directions

You just described and promoted LOA while then dismissing LOA. Ever considered that your understanding was the flawed thing? -
Gives me an opportunity to catch up on videos. I am so behind.

Enlightenment work as well as self-inquiry as a form of self-directed cognitive behavioral therapy fixed the majority of my issues that inhibited my day to day life. Psychedelics helped a shit ton too. Different things works for different people. The realizations about reality forced me to see my negative outlook as one sided and shallow when I wasn't attempting to be holistic.

Do you REALLY want it to attract it? -
By drilling something in its place. This can include the absence of a practice.

^ This and the entire post is good advice. I found a sort of exposure therapy to be helpful. The people who are afraid of rejection need to get rejected more. Why? Because hiding behind the fear and avoiding it produces more fear over a non issue. Then you realize rejection isn't that bad. You can't please everybody and what people think of you is NOT you. They've created their own version of you based on their own relative perceptions and standards based exclusively on the bits about you they've seen. Somebody could think you are an asshole for one thing you've done and just have not seen the hundred good you've done. Don't get me wrong, these can provide great insights to reflect on, but don't take it as law. Yes. Know your worth. Know your skills, and hone to improve and grow yourself all you can. You'll appear way more confident when you stop walking on eggshells when interacting with people. Getting a girl is a statistics game. You interact with as many as people until you find a match. And also whenever you fuck up, don't identify with your past. You have to fuck up to grow. Thats called learning.

It arised spontaneously. I've always been a person very fascinated experimenting with drugs to explore different experiences. So my first time was at home with some online friends in a voice call and I just really wanted to know what mdma was like. It really brought up deep emotional sides of me I rarely acknowledged or repressed and it was through this is where I think I discovered the trauma. I didn't even know there was trauma or a problem to resolve. I convinced myself I was past all of the shit with my family as a child. Obviously not. On another note, cady flipping, at least to me, feels like my brain is a ball of yarn and I am just unraveling the entire single string. great combo for learning about your own psychology and deeper insights, but the dosing can be finicky to get both substances to synergize.

This is all a story you've created in your head. Why do you listen to such thoughts? Having no objective in life besides existing, means you can just follow desire. This is a sandbox. Would you rather be forced into a specific role? What is good? Perhaps you are so involved in your own labeling you forget that you cause this for yourself. Then go out and make friends and get a girlfriend. Take responsibility for your life. Solving life issues takes more than positive affirmations. It takes action. Persistence. Dying will put you back at square 1. Do you just want to give up because it is easier? Because you believe more stories that your mind conjures up as if it knows the future?

Is that actually whats going on or is that your own projections? Also the sharing of thought processes can help give insights into new perspectives. When you've figured something out it tends to emit a feeling of euphoria which may be reflected in their writing. -
Trauma is interesting. You can have a traumatic experience as a baby, have no memory of it, but still go through the changes caused by that trauma. The body remembers even when the conscious mind does not. Which makes it all the more difficult to locate trauma at times. Locating trauma requires great awareness to your behaviors, thoughts, and feelings to trace it back to potential events. Drugs do help with this. As an example, in high school I had a very pessimistic outlook and loathed self-love. I spent all my time loving other people, but I found myself giving love, but I never truly took in the love that was given to me. I reflected it like a mirror. I was completely unaware I was causing my own deprivation of love as well as denying any gifts of love. It wasn't until I took MDMA that this realization hit me like a train. As well as the cause deriving from not enough consistent love from my parents/family and it being so disjointed I always had my dependent love sources taken away from me. Receiving love became an hole for suffering I avoided. Just the mere act of finally spotlighting the trauma and see its traces was enough to send me into tears of joy, emotions to this day could bring me to tears if I recall them. It was only then, by understanding another aspect of myself, that I was able to begin working on transcending that trauma, It is hard because it goes deeper than memories but it translates to an actual change of response to certain things and when that thing triggers such emotional reactions, people don't want to deal with it head on which can lead to various issues like identity to trauma for a sense of control or constant avoidance.

Isn't this just the result of the benefits of meditation becoming a sort of 'baseline' you are used to? -

The ego likes to hide behind nonduality, pretend it doesn't exist and keep doing its work. Not saying it applies to you but thought it might be a good insight. @Tistepiste godspeed. ? You will be growing till the end. So embrace every part of the journey. -

Interesting how quick you are to defend yourself and state how irrelevant the opinions of others are of you. You may know your direct experience and emotions, but it is quite easy to deceive yourself. This is why Leo calls the mind a weasel. I've begun countering this with instead of trying to defend myself with every claim I also try and see how such claims could potentially be true and I am running away from it. Has helped me catch a few deceptions. -
Interesting outlook when all you've done is played a label game. That won't hold up for long when all your labels come crashing down.

This is a tough one. I've been able to clear through quite a bit of trauma but I can definitely feel some repressed shit in the back of my being. Took me a bit to learn that it was there because of my huge progression in other areas. Not sure how to solve that though. -

On the topic of Vivid Dreaming.. I don't smoke weed very often but there was one time I had some from a friend and so I smoked to go to bed for like 4-5 days in a row. I then ran out and I am aware weed reduces REM sleep. The next two nights I went to bed my dreams were insane. It had triggered my first two vivid lucid dreams. -

This article is taking the comparison way too literally. This article sounds like the guy is deathly afraid of being compared to a computer, often because we often try to see ourselves as something beyond that. The article basically just explains that it doesn't process or store information in the same way as the brain. Which is true, but that doesn't make the computer analogy really any less of a point to make. When you dig into your own psychology you discover how you've functioned your entire life is equivalent to a self-programmable AI. Comes with an initial directive, can take in information, and modify and adapt its own directive. There was a post on here sometime ago that eloquently broke down the programming and meta-programming of the mind and its programs. Don't get so caught up in the absolute you lose sight of the relative. Keep your mind on the stars and your eyes to your feet. Don't trip. -
Comfort is very interesting. I had a slump freshman year of high school and since being sad was my default state, I was scared of when I felt genuinely happy it was very uncomfortable to be happy.

You'll have to find your own answer to this, but my answer was "Why no do this?" Its for fun. For something to do while you are here. Really the only reason to do something is because you desire to. Everything is you. So experience all that you have given yourself to experience. It is like a big puzzle and I like puzzles.

What feels useless? Do you have some kind of expectation of yourself that you aren't meeting? What is 'wasting' the day. Don't pressure yourself to go out and do extravagant things. There's no right or wrong way to do things. So what is there to waste?
-
Yeah, when you are aware of your thoughts its a matter then of just drilling the proper mindsets into your sub-conscious. Remember that it acts on repetition. If you fear rejection your body will see it as bad and come up with all sorts of excuses to avoid the possibility. Your goal should to get rejected. Get rejected as many times as possible. It acts as a sort of exposure therapy so rejection is no longer scary.

Bingo. Money does not produce happiness, but it is certainly a tool to help achieve it. Materialistic desires is a constant chasing of a dopamine rush. Buy that new game console or video game, buy the latest and greatest product of x or y. We never are satisfied. We always want more more more! Because the new and magical feeling of the current thing is gone. We keep chasing for reality to feel magical but w find it is ever fleeting. We stop being able to see just how magical everything in front of us is. Comfort brings stagnation. When you have comfort, you have no reason to grow and develop. Discomfort and suffering challenges us to overcome and that becomes a big source of development. This is why so many people come here for self-help. By meaning helping to achieve happiness I mean it certainly does give you the time to work on yourself. But likely you would not even bother if you were just out-right born into comfort. All those depressed celebrities were unsuccessful in finding themselves. Depression is not a randomly occurring thing. You can say it is a chemical imbalance but everything you think or feel or do is affecting that balance. The mind is self-programmable. This is why no medicine will ever 'cure' you. You have to literally change the baseline functioning of the brain and this is achieved through psychological analysis and changes which translates to chemical changes. Exactly.
