You can point to the same thing but build an infinite amount of mental constructs about it then argue about who is more correct. Don't get so caught up in the map. You could go for days calling one another delusional and or wrong claiming your understanding is superior. But it really doesn't do anything if both people think they got it figured out and nobody is listening besides to criticize. You don't need to prove yourself to anybody. You don't need to convert anybody. Those who don't get what Leo means and genuinely want to investigate, then do it. Follow his practices and see where it leads you.

I use both where it fits best. They are tools for the mind to navigate. Why limit yourself to one or the other? The idealist can be good for mental development and making deep inquiries about reality. The materialist is super good at the surface level manipulation that we see in science and tech. You could call the materialist layered on top of the idealist. Its like an onion I don't think scrapping it will resolve the root issue of clinging to mental models.

Nationalism at the expense of other people is setting one set of people as more important than another based on imaginary identities. Nationalism is a statement at our inability to act as a collective. "We can be united as long as its under my terms" doesn't sound very united if you are trying to force people who are unwilling. I wouldn't call it 'bad' but its most definitely not ideal.

This is something you need to figure out through your own work and becoming more conscious. Right now it seems you are just operating on what other people say instead of verifying it for yourself. The answer to any 'why' is because you want to. The more conscious you become, the more you WANT to love people. Life may be a dream but this dream is as close to real as real gets. If the dream had no impact on the ego you then perhaps you could dismiss it like a video game.

Honestly you just gotta make content no matter how cringe it is and trust me it will be cringe You think all the big YouTubers weren't cringey when they first started? They were. Experience makes you more skilled in just being able to make videos and act 'natural' without all the anxiety. Do what you want to do and pursue it. Anybody who supports you will support you. The better you get at uploading content through just doing it, the more followers you'll be able to get. Uploading content is a skill just like anything else that you can get better through sheer practice.

We're all ignorant. That's something we'll have to accept no matter how enlightened we become. But it's definitely convenient to call others enlightenment half baked to dismiss it to support your own views. Or to twist their intent to be to sound cool or mysterious. Perhaps try to explore why people say both or neither. This is really no different than religion vs atheism this vs that. Truth kernel vs truth kernel. Beware of half truths, my friend.

Being the best maximizes survival. It's just been abstracted a bit as our society evolves in complexity. Those who maximized it survived the best.

Things didn't pop this way out of nowhere. It derives deeply from who we are and what we do best. This is merely an adaptation of masculine energy. You can do what you want obviously. But try to contemplate why men and woman would end up gravitating one way or another. It's not a limitation. Just an implementation.

The short answer is yes. Meditation is a tool. It's not the solution or only way to grow.

There was some guy who talked about the subconscious that mentioned the saying "give me the child until 7 and I'll show you the man" a lot of programming comes from the first 7 years. To which it becomes more difficult from then on. Because you have to replace previously accepted mechanisms instead of solely take on new mechanisms.

That's the paradox. It's both. The answer depends on which side of the coin you look at but at the end of the day it is the same coin.

You use the mind to learn to not use the mind.

Then go find what he means.

I don't do practices as much as I should but I do a lot of contemplation and various substances has given me amazing insights. Ive taken a long break from most substances until I hear its call again. But yet I notice with my lack of practice I still notice change in myself. Calmer. Things are taken less personally, understanding is increased. I eat healthier. If I lay down and just be whether it's in silence or in music I experience a variety of effects and I feel more connected with everything. I am noticing growth in myself that is occurring as I live. With so much emphasis on practice it almost seems odd. I know my awareness is much higher now I get lost in the mind way less and I wonder if the increased awareness is the drive of growth.

@Knock Being equal benefits the losers the most and its why you don't see the winners saying as much about it. You could call our society very dysfunctional and sick. We've only started scratching the surface of trying to be aware of our actions as a collective.

I would say neuroplasticity has to do with it. The brain naturally becomes more rigid and you have to bend it a little more to get what you want.

You don't need a force. There's just you. Not "your mind"

@Aakash Deeply observe the mechanism thats getting emotional about it. Let it go and surrender. Ignorance is a part of the big picture just like how you were probably once as ignorant and how we all are to some degree.

Can't stress this enough. I jumped from 500ug straight to 1000ug thinking I had conquered LSD and my mind. The LSD gave me what I wanted, all of the insights and glimpses, but it was not without beating my ego straight into the ground. You treat them lightly, and you'll be shown whos the bitch.
