Shadowraix replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
I'm interested. My knowledge on politics is very spotty. I researched quite a bit during the last election but it was mostly to support who I wanted to win (Bernie) I really hope you address balancing the perspective of the collective and individual needs in this. I've discovered it needs a very careful balance. -
@Moreira I mean men have been on a pedestal for a long time prior. I always said feminism would tilt the seesaw if we are not as vigilant to both sides. We've been to both extremes. Maybe now we can find balance?

They don't exist and yet they do.. The great paradox of reality runs deep. Illusion is real and real is illusion. -
And yet you need this egoic pursuit to actually obtain it. The ideology will be purged in time if the practices are committed to. You will always have the self/ego. But the depth of your sight is no longer limited to it. It's all a part of the journey.

This so much. "There is absolute truth and relative truth, beware of half-truths.", "Keep your mind ever on the star, but let your eyes watch over your footsteps, lest you fall into the mire by reason of your upward gaze." - The Kyballion. Two sides of the same coin. It is up to you to figure out how you want to reconcile them in your life. -
@PatternsFormThought Have you ever looked into kriya yoga or other forms of yoga for this kind of work? As far as I am aware, eastern yoga was another method used to achieve such shifts in consciousness.

The tricky thing here is exactly that, nuance. Your words aren't without some validity, but it largely depends on the angle you are looking at it from and if your projections on how they think are correct. For example: This lacks context of what I was trying to get. There is inherently nothing wrong with theorising all day long. You are correct. Me saying be careful was to not point to a fear of theorizing but to be aware of when theorizing starts to take you away from your goal. And in this work for many practice matters just as much as theory. But it becomes easy to get lost in the mental masturbation. Awareness here is key so you don't get lost. A lot of times when something is said to be good or bad it is in relation to some goal or objective but without the proper perspective and context the intent could be easily lost and misinterpreted. It could even come off as demonization.

Enlightenment does not imply entire cessation of thought. The cessation of thought in certain practices helps us see through thought and not identify with it. Enlightenment does not get rid of the ego, but you can now see past the ego. Concepts point to experience but we confuse the concept as the experience. This work is all about finding balance. Be careful about how much you theorize. Even now you are just theorizing what you think you see in these people. Entering nonduality does not mean you never use duality and it becomes useless. Rather it becomes a tool. Duality vs nonduality is also a duality. Nonduality will see both perspectives and use either where it applies. Something only becomes dogma and indoctrination if you hold it as such.

It's serious only for the ego. When you see the whole for what it is, it seems to bring out laughter in many people. -

Hahaha I live in US him in Australia but we met online through an education drug discord I made. He was the one who introduced me to Leo so it makes sense. Still really cool though ? -

Omg he just told me he is. That's so crazy. ? You actually briefly spoke to me a few times when he was in a voice call with me. -

@Freakyboo my friend also had a good experience combining Syrian rue with this -
The funny thing is they are just going from one end of the spectrum to the other. They have not reconciled on how both feminism and mgtow ideas (Supporting to raise both men and women) can come together. Which at that point you might as well call it egalitarianism. It is true that feminism has people who practice it in a toxic way, but going the opposite is just seeing the toxicity in other communities and not their own.

Never tried it myself, but some friends and I are thinking of trying it. I am curious of what it has to offer for more experienced users of psychedelics too. One of my friends loved it especially with some ayahuasca. People describe it to me in the starter doses as a much lighter combo of lsd+mdma which is why I asked about it to recommend to beginners. I'll know soon enough though. -
@Joseph Maynor Nice to see you back. (:

Our systems have grown as humans have developed themselves. Do you think an alternative is really viable when most people are stage blue and orange? I could envision radical changes at green and yellow.
-
See: your reply to me just saying it's not worth replying to. I tried to start a dialogue with you and it got dismissed as trollery.
-
There is a clear distinction between what people proclaim something is on paper and how they practice it. The criticisms here isn't the paper meaning of it, but how toxic all the people in the mgtow community are because they joined it out of all their emotional baggage.
-
In the bigger picture that too is just a manifestation of consciousness. Formless taking form. We can still use the word consciousness in relation to the human mind. Context is key here! In this work all the words that are used are really approximations. When you discover consciousness as reality people have said many words for it. Void, God, Dao etc. Personal preference here. At the end of the day it all points to the same thing. Whatever this reality truly is. I never saw your reply but since there was a bump figure I'd respond in case you see it.
-
@Norbert Lennartz Doesn't seem very loving when you shut down genuine inquiries about this stuff but you instead call it trolling, ignorance, or stupidity dismissively without actually addressing it. Did you come here as a preacher of your own political ideologies? You'll never have other people at least see where you are coming from unless you actually open up to engaging in conversation. But instead you use the same labels you once dismissed as illusory identities in another thread.

@moon777light I would say so yeah. For example, we are designed to avoid suffering and chase comfort, yet suffering increases our ability to adapt to survive. Facing a fear would be another form of adaptation. Conflict, struggle, overcome -
You reply to everybody else on this stuff, but not me? What a shame. I'm happy to admit I'm no expert. Im just stating what I see. That taxes help those who can't afford a service and hurts those that can afford a service. When efficiently used anyway. Are you saying that we could still have things like Healthcare and education and it be affordable for everyone with no government funding to either of them? Who's going to fund it these expensive operations poor people can't pay for? Collective thinking would be to not allow these people to go without such necessary services.

Facing a fear is often necessary for survival. Survival instincts can to very meta using mechanisms to go against other mechanisms for survival. -
haha no. I find biology interesting but not enough to do 10+ years of training. I just have researched bits and pieces. Ahh I see. I was thinking a science perspective. God expresses itself in every way possible. That's what it does as unconditional love. To just be whatever the hell that it is. Which includes all of this. That's why it does this. For the sake of being.
