Shadowraix replied to Ibn Sina's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Temporary enlightenment has nothing to do with enlightenment? ? Ever had your ego dissolve on psychedelics and realize total oneness? @Ibn Sina Yes it is possible. Psychedelics are simply an option to add into your usual practices. Powerful stuff and can provide an amazing foundation for your work. -
@Inliytened1 Those gurus who don't pursue well roundedness due to nothing matters are only working from one end of the paradox don't you think?

I like to think of the relationship of enlightenment and personal development like a venn diagram. There is certainly overlap, but each one offers their own forms of growth the other lacks.

Yep. Conflating relative and absolute. "Keep your mind ever on the star, but let your eyes watch over your footsteps, lest you fall into the mire by reason of your upward gaze." - The Kyballion.

@seeking_brilliance Agreed. Keep the clutter in two threads instead of many. -

True. This isn't an airport, no need to announce your departure. -
Both.

I would highly recommend you try a mild psychedelic before trying one of the most hallucinogenic substances in the world. Dmt is a very profound life changing substance it and it will not give your mind the grace other psychedelics give. Especially don't do such an intense psychedelic by yourself. Might just be me but I find dmt with no prior psychedelic experience highly risky vs at least getting accustomed with lsd or shrooms or something.

Really hard to describe. But you hear this frequency or sound when taking DMT and is also very present on higher doses of your common psychedelics. Did some searching to find an example and I think this video does a good job around the 30s mark and even better at the 40s mark. Its a little bit different than what I experience but its the same general sound. Although I don't experienced that sharp high pitched sound. But the one that reverberates is very reminiscent.

To BE It is simply being and embracing what it is without restraint. -

It veers very far off from the average human condition. There's a lot of implications to this that can be too much for a lot of people. Its why we can't just realize it all at once. -

We must be careful when it comes to meanings behind word. As well as to not be too rigid about what a word means. A word that has a common definition may not be accurate when considering the absolute, so it is changed. For example the common notion of God as a deity has some true and false notions. By discovering oneness with God we discovered the false notions, which was especially God being some kind of separate entity. Should we hold onto the formerly held definition of God for the sake of clinging onto what we want it to mean? Many would say no. Meanings and words dramatically morph and change with insight. We use some of the closest approximation words, modify them to point to it instead of half-truths. Solipsism takes on this exact modification when realizing the 'self' was an illusion and the only 'self' there is is God. Which is all that exists. Instead of clinging onto what you want the word to mean for other people, find out and discover what they mean. Dictionary definitions are useful, but they can easily become a limitation. -
Seems a bit more complicated than that to me. Its not that I try to avoid doing all work, it is the challenging stuff. I lack the big picture vision to push me through all the stuff that doesn't immediately show results.

Yes. If I ever think I can't do something or give up, its not because I can't do it. It is because I don't want to solve all the hard challenges that come with achieving it.

Simulated is an ok non-woowoo approximation. But by this you could call thinking it is a simulation as an illusion too. The problem is though there is nothing but the 'simulation' calling it a simulation often can give the distinction there is something outside of it. God is 'simulating' but what it is simulating is also it. Don't confuse simulating in this context with fake or 'unreal' There is nowhere else to go but here. Science and simulation theory is just another step forward in realizing how profound and big this whole thing is. Call it a half-truth. Think of this: Imagine a person in your head living their life. Except they are completely aware that they are being created by some higher more intelligent thing. You just literally created a person. A real person. You can fully involve yourself, get invested, and explore the world you created. You gave them the ability to become enlightened to some degree. Is that an illusion that can be dismissed when you gave them the ability to see through their own perceived reality? Of course God as total is infinitely more complex, your ability to do this is a finite form of the utter and raw power of God. Who's to say God in its infinite expression wouldn't give life the power to see what it actually is a part of? You are a part of it just like that human you imagined is a part of you. The illusion of what we thought reality was derived from what we were taught. We hold mainly beliefs that serve to only maintain its survival. Survival oriented lifeforms will delude itself to maintain survival. But what illusion can persist when you deconstruct all of those mechanisms? What is behind the curtain? -

Basically Solipsism is a half truth. It's idea is not entirely incorrect but not entirely correct either. In the same way atheism and theism are half truths themselves and so on. The meaning of solipsism here should change away from referring to the ego self - that's just the integration taking place. -

Am I missing something? I don't see this. I just see a conversation on the specifics on what a more conscious society would side for. It doesn't necessarily mean you cling to it for the sake of correctness. It would get tiring to clarify that all the time and though. You can't be a fence sitter when you discuss on what one thinks an improved or more conscious society would look like -

Yeah I picked up on what you were referring to with my edit in that same post. But I can see what you mean about being more aware on how others might take your statement. This happens left and right to Leo. Him trying to get a point across and things getting all jumbled in the communication process. Sometimes its hard to be 'experienced' so to speak and convey it properly to someone with little to no idea. To those people, ideas and mental models is how they solely interface with the world. Well, I would think of it more like as helping them deconstruct all the illusions the mind has set up to maintain survival. Which is mind-blowing to me. The mind will evolve itself into deluding itself if it maintains survival. Wow. When you see what is left after deconstruction, thats even more wow. The rest is just theory to help approximate how we communicate the undefined. I don't know about you, but all of this is absurd to me to begin with haha. -
@karkaore Yeah from what I know a breakthrough is based on your dosage and efficiently when dosing. I think there is a difference here in what each person means by breakthrough.

Shadowraix replied to Umar_uk's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Umar_uk I always agreed they are not the only way. A lot of my insights have derived from just living life despite my initial awakening being drug induced. I just know when Leo gives his statements there's often a lot of nuance he might not cover. You could go in forever into the realm of nuance so I didn't think he meant such a statement literally. I don't think anybody disagrees with your key premise. I think people are just adding you wouldn't tell somebody to just live life as normal for awakening in a school meant to tell you how to pursue it. It's not an opposition statement its more a statement on practicality in the relative. It's quite funny isn't it? The very illusion you are supposed to deconstruct helps you realize it. -
Stories of the new worlds are interesting. People discuss talking to entities which show them things. One of my friends said he rode through them on twirling dragons. I'm probably down for trying this if my friend and I have enough. We tried vaping it wrong so we lost a lot of product. Do you expect it to have a similar result as Ayahuasca? I've trip sat a friend online who brewed his own before.

Try both eventually! 5-MeO is probably a better straight shot towards enlightenment experiences. Not to say NN-DMT won't give you a hell of an experience. But pacing yourself isn't a bad thing. There's a lot more info out there about NN-DMT I say this because the visuals when smoked I think can be very distracting/encompass the experience.
