I agree with the above sentiments. Everybody I have talked to about it mentioned how addictive it can be. I wouldn't advise it as a regular focus stimulant. -
@XYZ Oh man to try to make a distinction between survival and consciousness. I'd look into that and how they relate to each other. It does so way more than you think.
-
@Autumn I can respect that. I'll probably get rid of my Facebook at some point and just keep messenger for friend contacts.
-
Rather than deleting my Facebook I took the route of unfollowing everything I didn't want to see whether that was pages or friends. I now see no toxic content and only content that keeps me updated on topics relevant to my life. This accomplishes a similar feat. Enter social media with a clear intent and stick to it and you'll be fine. I never go on Instagram it's there for my DMs and I don't touch Twitter with a 10ft pole It's good you found a break away from it though. Watch out for this forum. It can become an addiction as well.

@SQAAD Psychedelics are nothing but truth. So is sobriety. The problem here is you start having thoughts and attach them to the experiences. It's the interpretation. It's the concept game to be careful of. The experience itself never lies. Strip all concept and see what's there -
@Esoteric Ever seen his one with Steven crowder on weed? He seems to have a few eggshells to walk around.
-
@Mezanti Do not fret. The seekers will find him if it's suppose to be even if he doesn't get on.
-
He has said before something along the lines of "If he wants me on the show he knows where to find me" I don't think he cares to actively pursue it. He already has a community to care for.

@XYZ Isn't it amazing how much consciousness work there is to do?
-
Depends on your mindset. Not doing things out of fear of traps is a trap in of itself. This is why you do everything you do practicing the upmost awareness in everything. Helping uplift people can be a very stage green thing and we need more stage green people. Its important to explore and experience to promote growth. All a part of the journey. Spiritual realization is a life-long process. There is a lot more than sitting in meditation in solitude.

Perhaps you can find some time in your life to volunteer for an organization contributing to such a cause,

Yes. Do you ever notice that when you feel awful, a lot of your usual activities shut down and you are much closer to sitting there being with the feeling? Thought is much less active and you do nothing but lay there and be until the sickness passes. This isn't just with sickness and applies to just about any intense feeling. The more intense it is, the more awareness that is needed for it, for the body cannot ignore it. Even weed can provide such no-mind states with its intense highs on higher doses. -
@Malekakisioannis Mine doesn't matter. Who's does matter is Leo and the mods. If you don't like their work even after a discussion you eventually have to decide if it's an environment for you or not. Don't seek to mold it to your desire.
-
@Malekakisioannis perhaps what you feel is unfair doesn't align with what the forum is aiming for. Perspectives ?

Click the actualized forum logo and it fixes it. I had this on mobile but not desktop.

@Synchronicity The problem here is people pursue them for their own egoic gain. Siddhis comes from purification where you no longer desire to do such but use it as a tool for when you feel God guide you to do so. If you want to pursue spiritual advancement, don't set your sights on Siddhis. -

@Matt8800 @zeroISinfinity your guys post gave me the desire to Meditate. Well done. -
Then you wonder "what if somebody posted something new" and check it throughout the day. Frequenting it too often is the problem. It becomes the new Facebook or Instagram. Even higher consciousness content could be turned low consciousness if not consumed properly. I do it a lot. I come here to not be bored.

Beats me I'm not a yogi nor am I enlightened. I could never fully grasp their perspective from my current state of consciousness. I only have glimpses from psychedelic use. Reaching such states of bliss has a lot of implications. Contemplate on how much your ego and identity drives your life and perceptions and what implications would come if you fully disidentified with it. A craving would not be a craving. It would just be any other experience that is experienced and passes. Acting upon it no longer becomes necessary. How else does a monk burn in fire looking so peaceful? -
Shadowraix replied to Danioover9000's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Keep at it. The monkey mind doesn't go away in a day. Even if you think, sit and be with thoughts and let them pass. There's nothing to struggle, there's nothing to do. Just sit and let reality happen. -

@kieranperez I think this goes perfectly with what you are saying https://www.ananda.org/ask/the-danger-of-siddhis-yogic-powers/ -
@Natasha I've stopped drinking milk for the most part. I never drink it just to drink it and would only drink it for say cereal or something. No real desire for it. Thought yogurt was considered dairy too? I hope it is healthy because there are a lot of probiotic yogurts I LOVE. And there are so many kinds it is food bliss. Can't resist cheese though. I stick it on just about everything it goes on. Big struggle.

Noble goal. I've only had temporary nondual experiences via psychedelics. It kinda feels like I can pierce a hole in the illusion if I consciously choose so but it is not a default thing. This is why I circle around between both absolute and relative perspectives. -

@Leo Gura Its a little mind boggling how all of that is why we have the technology today though. Finding good concepts and models that line up with observed patterns. We couldn't do anything if we didn't rely on patterns.
