@Preetom Nah it wasn't that one, but that is one of his best!
-
@Preetom That wasn't it, I remember I watched this video way before that one was made.
-
@K VIL It was a 2014 - 2016 era video. The commitment was around the middle of the video actually, and then after that he set up sort of a gameplan for how to move foreward and transform your life in this new way. So it was a motivational video of sorts, but not like the recent motivational speech. The closest video I can compare it to is "How To Get Shit Done - The Inner Game Of Being A Results-Maker", but I don't think that was it. He went through a lot of thought patterns in the video, emphasized that after a certain point you get so acclimated to a mediocre life that you lose the ability to recognize its mediocre and your life passes you by.

@d0ornokey No it was an older video from the 2014 - 2016 era.

Thanks, great resource!

Totally agree, he pushed thinking outside the box and seeing the bigger picture. I really admire his life, even if he did have faults but don't we all? -

@SoonHei When your body is still for long enough it will begin to naturally twitch and jerk. This is also experienced when attempting lucid dreaming and astral projection. It will eventually pass during your session. -

@Joseph Maynor I thought Leo said Stage Coral was a waste of time? I believe in the Stage Turquoise video he said embodying Turquoise was a lifelong pursuit in itself and after a certain point you would outgrow the Spiral altogether. -

To me a thought is sensory activity in the brain. You hear your inner dialogue. You see past memories. Even something like a scent can take you right back to your Grandparent's living room when you were 8. Thoughts commonly get pulled up when triggered by something else. But a thought is not "reality", it is a construction of the mind and it's internal perceptions. However, thoughts can be powerful, like in the case of imagination, thoughts that inspire you to do or create something positive in physical reality. For me where it becomes truly bizarre is when you consider that the thought of a car is really not that much different to the brain than seeing an actual car. The mind believes almost any thought it came up with; we're skeptical of others but not ourselves. Visualize yourself leaning off the end of a skyscraper, about to fall down. Really try to put yourself there in your mind, visualizing the street below, the wind to your face, the sound of birds above you, the feeling of being off balance...after long enough you'll start to feel physically dizzy. Try it! -
What I'm about to describe is NOT: - The experience of music aided by drugs - The feeling of listening to your favorite song - Related to meditation music, meditating with music, etc. - Being affected by lyrics - Dancing / Being at a concert Sometimes I get this jolt of higher consciousness / (nonduality?) when I'm spending time with friends I'm very close to while listening to music. This can happen when I'm alone as well but it's more common with other people. We'll go for walks in the forest, go on long drives, spend time at the beach, take pictures, have dinner, make music together, and have deep conversations. Usually while we're hanging out we're listening to a certain hip hop / rock / electronic album or sometimes just pop music from different eras. There are certain moments during these hangouts / trips that the weather is just perfect, the vibe is just perfect, the music hits perfectly and for a brief moment all pain fades, I'm one with the universe so to speak. Just being, content with existence, relishing the moment, seeing the beauty in everything and where whats in my imagination and whats in my perceptions lose boundaries. I know this is more than just a good feeling in the music, because it doesn't happen all the time when listening to these songs. But in the right environment, with the right mindset, the music is the thing that just pushes me over the edge into this euphoric state. I believe the music is part of it, but its moreso that the music opens me up emotionally so to speak and in that moment I am able to fully embrace being. It's in these moments where I think I understand what Leo often talks about as nothingness and infinity, it's like an infinite nothingness, and all I can respond with is awe. I sometimes wonder if that is what enlightenment is, to experience this feeling nonstop, if so that would be a bit overwhelming! I wanted to get your opinions on this, and any other music that opens you up to experiencing being in this way. If you're curious, here's a few "magic moments" in songs where my friends and I have experienced this feeling.

One of the biggest things the content has done for me (videos, blog posts, book list, etc.), is it has expanded my worldview significantly. I may have never stumbled upon concepts like Enlightenment, Spiral Dynamics or practices like solo meditation retreats without Leo introducing them to me. It's especially inspiring to see Leo as a person embodying what he shares and inspiring you to go out there and improve yourself by watching him "walk the walk" so to speak. Its made me a more proactive person! Actualized.org has really impacted my life in a big way and I really can't thank Leo enough for all he's done. This is truly a one-of-a-kind resource and I'd like to meet and thank Leo personally one day if he ever does a tour/book signing/workshop.

@Frog And these 12 collective minds are? And once again, 1800s internet?? Sorry I know there's Google but these were points that Google didn't turn up. I appreciate you answering questions, 90% of this stuff is new to me. How much of it is true or false however is up in the air rn, honestly skeptical. -

Please explain: 1800s technologies (or 1800s internet on other versions of this list) 90% of books written by the same author Oxygen is hallucinogenic (then how do breatharians survive?) -
@Finland3286 If they did that it would also be assuming they were also watching the new video that came out every Sunday, otherwise they'd have to spend another month or two finishing up all the videos that came out while they were watching them all haha You don't even have to watch them in order, just the ones that interest / appeal / apply to you most first. But also don't forget that Leo says ideally one day we'll be able to "outgrow" his content, and not have to rely on him anymore. Actualized.org is a fantastic tool I'm going to refer to throughout my life but its no substitute for mastering the practices yourself and achieving your own life purpose.

Watch them all! Leo has 375 videos now in total. If you watched one video a day, you could get through them all in a year. That's a fine pace and it'll give you time to take notes and process the information. Sort by oldest and get started! https://www.youtube.com/user/ActualizedOrg/videos?sort=da&flow=grid&view=0

@Mezanti It's one of Leo's most-recommended books, he mentions it all the time. The idea is that there is The Master, The Dabbler, The Obsessive and The Hacker. I'm noticing you're falling into The Obsessive a bit, because with all the meditation and spiritual work you're doing right off the bat you're bound to hit a wall or what Leonard calls a "plateau". Basically, you're bound to burn yourself out. The Master takes his time, stays focused (unlike the Dabbler) and keeps pushing himself (unlike the Hacker). It's an interesting concept to study, and yes I'd consider it life altering. There's nothing wrong with being super passionate and getting off the ground running, but just be prepared for your first plateau.
-
Only you can conclude that, but perhaps it's because you stopped worrying so much about someone else's idea of fulfillment and started thinking more about your own happiness.
-
Food for thought: do you think someone at level 1000 would care about other people's level number?
-
I would say just try to think big. Keep your mind on your goals and what you want to accomplish in life. Your passion will override your anxieties, try watching the first 3 minutes of this video, it's explained well:
-
-
What's your life purpose?
-
Forget those people. Do what you want, talk to and hang out with people that YOU enjoy talking to and being with. Focus on yourself and accomplishing your goals. Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
-
I admire your work ethic but I'd advise you to take it slow if you just started meditating. Don't forget about what was written in MASTERY by George Leonard. Slow but steady wins the race!

Good on you, man! One of my best friends recently died and I wrote a few paragraphs to show him gratitude and tribute our memories (shared it on his FB memorial wall) and I felt amazing afterwards. It's incredible how many good qualities you think of someone after they're gone, if only we could have that same gratitude for people while they're still here. But alas, it's so easy to get caught up in the negatives of right now we lose sight of the big picture.

As you can see from my flair "Newbie", I'm still sorta new to this whole self-actualization thing, and have been following Leo's content for only about a year now, but one of the biggest things the content has done for me (videos, blog posts, book list, etc.), is it has expanded my worldview significantly. I may have never stumbled upon concepts like Enlightenment, Spiral Dynamics, authors like Peter Ralston or practices like solo meditation retreats without Actualized.org introducing them to me. It's especially inspiring to see Leo as a person embodying what he shares and inspiring you to go out there and improve yourself by watching him "walk the walk" so to speak. Its made me a more proactive person! Now of course I've also been discerning and don't agree with 100% of the content I've seen. But the vast majority of it has really impacted my life in a big way and I really can't thank Leo enough for all he's done. This is truly a one-of-a-kind resource and I'd like to meet and thank Leo personally one day if he ever does a tour/book signing/workshop.
