"When I’m talking about embodiment, I’m referring to the whole of life, including all of the small moments. The small moments are where we live 98% of our days." - Adya

True. Fulfilling your life purpose is its own reward.

I watch this scene every day: "I'm tired of your damned-fool yarns and your Cap'n Ahab horseshit. You sound like a goddamned parody. Givin' and nagging orders like a spinster schoolmarm, and all the while turning this station to the Devil's own rum hole." "You think you're so goddamned high and mighty just 'cause you're a goddamned lighthouse keeper? Well, you ain't a captain of no ship and you never was." "You smell like hot onions fucked a farmyard shit-house." This scene makes me happy.

I've been putting off reading Romeo and Juliet, because it's Shakespeare's most popular play. It turns out that it's also his most accessible work. So if you want to start studying Shakespeare, this is not a bad place to start. It's not his best work, though. I think Hamlet is Shakespeare's masterpiece, but that's his longest work. I like Kenneth Branagh's version.

That's fine. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just curious to find out what would happen if I completely stopped masturbating.

My ultimate goal is to permanently transcend masturbation. NNN serves as the training ground.

In my opinion, this is the greatest video game ever created. Everything about it is amazing: the art direction, the graphics, the animations, the gameplay, the level design, the sound design, the music, the acting, and, of course, the story. It's all top-notch. I can't play other games anymore. Neil Druckmann and everyone at Naughty Dog are extremely talented. No other game company manages to reach these incredibly high quality standards: When Naughty Dog made Uncharted, they wanted to make a playable movie. With The Last of Us, they achieved a playable TV Series, because the story is long, and the cast is big. As a culture, we don't celebrate the beauty of The Last of Us enough because of the medium: it's a video game, which isn't accessible enough. If it was a TV Series, more people would know about it and love it. Fortunately, HBO is making a TV Series. The more time passes, the more I love Part II. I'm even tempted to say that it's better than Part I, but I like to think of it as one big story. In his book "Story", Robert McKee writes: "Drove to an Act Two climax so moving that I thought the story was over. And yet, out of the ashes of the second act, this writer created a third act of such power, such beauty, and such magnificence." Part II did that multiple times. You think the story is coming to an end, but you get one more act. Druckmann is a McKee fan, too, and that's why Naughty Dog's stories are the best.

Good film for fans of Shakespeare and lovers of the English language: Watch this, too; it's funny:

Nice. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Who can say where the road goes Where the day flows, only time And who can say if your love grows As your heart chose, only time Who can say why your heart sighs As your love flies, only time And who can say why your heart cries When your love lies, only time Who can say when the roads meet That love might be in your heart And who can say when the day sleeps If the night keeps all your heart Night keeps all your heart Who can say if your love grows As your heart chose - Only time And who can say where the road goes Where the day flows, only time Who knows? Only time

In the Face of the Infinite: "Pay real close attention to the detail of what you're doing, to the way your body is moving, to your physical gestures, to what you're trying to accomplish. You will build this ability to focus on task and stay focused on task." "What is life if not a given perspective." "Just because you wake up from a dream doesn't mean you've dealt with the psychological forces and dynamics that are still there. We have to meet these psychological dynamics on their own home-turf, which is our own consciousness." "You can't get very far in life without the ability to move through fears." "I'm not only letting go for me. I'm letting go for all the beings that I will interact with in life." "If you're listening deeply, you'll know what you need to do at the time you need to do it. What's this moment calling for?" "All these teachings come from quietness, from a stillness; that's where we gain access to a whole other dimension of being. That's the avenue: through a quiet mind and an open, available, loving heart. I hope we pay attention to that during our day-to-day lives."

Nice. -------------------------------------------------------------------- I close my eyes Only for a moment and the moment′s gone All my dreams Pass before my eyes, a curiosity Dust in the wind All they are is dust in the wind Same old song Just a drop of water in an endless sea All we do Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see Dust in the wind (ah, aah, aah) All we are is dust in the wind Oh, oh, oh Now, don't hang on Nothin′ last forever but the earth and sky It slips away And all your money won't another minute buy Dust in the wind All we are is dust in the wind (all we are is dust in the wind) Dust in the wind (everything is dust in the wind) Everything is dust in the wind (the wind)
