I'm looking more forward to The Whale by Darren Aronofsky than to The Way of Water. I have no interest in watching a visual spectacle – that's boring, if that's all that a movie has to offer. Visuals become outdated; great stories live forever. I don't like this obsession with cinema and technology. Cinema is just a tool. A director's first love has to be drama, showmanship, and humanity – the tools of cinema are secondary.

Read all of his books and listen to his lectures. It's a profound body of work.

The title is actually one of the reasons why I didn't want to read this book, because I thought it's about not caring what other people think of you, but it's much more profound than that; it gets to the heart of what spiritual embodiment is about: it's actually a very spiritual book, reminiscent of Jed McKenna. I'm reading Manson's first book now: Models.
