  1. As far as I know, there's no place like this.
  2. Because he is not the ultimate authority on consciousness. I don't.
  3. These outbursts are necessary for him to maintain his unwarranted authority. It's highly entertaining, though. If he wrote a whole book in that style, I'd read it.
  4. The Fountain is good. I have yet to watch Pi and Black Swan. But I can't watch other movies right now -- I'm still digesting The Whale. The Whale will polarize you. You're either going to love it or hate it. I don't think anyone can watch The Whale and say, "It's okay." You're either going to sob or say that it's overrated crap.
  5. This one is powerful, too ? The Whale is the rare great work of art I live for.
  6. My favorite track from the score ⬆️ ??
  7. The music is beautiful. And Fraser's performance is outstanding. Actually, I wanted to watch this movie in the theatres, but I'm glad I didn't. At home I could cry in peace.
  8. She's good. I wouldn't have understood the story without her explanation.
  9. "Creative talent is the discovery of the third thing. Certain people have the power to discover the hidden connection between two things that already exist, but a third thing that connects them in a way no one else has ever thought before." - McKee Example: The fog comes on little cat feet.
  10. I'm a huge fan of McKee. No other book have I read as many times as Story. I think everyone should read it at least once, even if you're not interested in writing yourself. I've read it eight times. I didn't notice that McKee published a new book: Action. Can't wait for Story 2.
  11. This movie is a trip. Bizarre and entertaining. The performances are great. My favorite scene: What Keaton does at 1:17 is beautiful. I love actors.
  12. I'm two chapters in. Manson is a good writer.
  13. Consciousness will put pressure on everything that is false within you, but the mind is a cunning devil, so vigilance is key. Lying is still very much possible, but it becomes more painful.
  14. Blanton is an amazing guy: You have to read his book. It's funny and insightful. I wish I had studied Branden and Blanton sooner instead of wasting my time with spiritual books. Branden, Blanton, Manson, Moore & Gillette are much better than Ralston, Spira, Wilber, Sadhguru, McKenna, Hawkins, and even Adyashanti. Don't waste too much of your time with the latter guys. Instead, study the work of the former guys.
  15. It's precisely because I had an awakening that I don't find their work appealing anymore. That's not true. Have you studied the work of the guys that I've listed? That kind of work is very much needed, before and after awakening.
  16. I liked this movie more than The Farewell. It's actually boring, but if you like Japan, you'll enjoy the cinematography.
  17. The soundtrack is nice:
  18. What an amazing podcast. It's well-produced and informative. Rowling practiced true spirituality. True spirituality doesn't happen on the cushion. True spirituality is an acceleration of the natural life process. She accelerated her developmental process dramatically. She probably feels as though she has lived three lifetimes, because so much happened for her in a short time frame.
  19. This podcast is more emotional than expected ? Rowling's story is even darker than I thought. In the first episode, she reveals details she has never talked about before.
  20. "I was never a great reader of fantasy. The thing that interests me most is human nature, above anything else." - Jo
  21. "I do not walk around in my house thinking about my legacy. What a pompous way to live your life. Whatever, I'll be dead. I care about now. I care about the living." - J.K. Rowling
  22. The first two episodes are available: The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling | Podcast on Spotify
