@Nahm Daym, I think you should be creating this workshop ?? Those are some cool ideas. Definitely put me in a different direction, I will share what I end up with ?. @Consilience yeah nice ? -
Just had this insight last week whilst arguing with my girlfriend. she was explaining how she felt because of something I did. I was like, yeah, yeah. I know that, I understand that, but still, your arguments don’t add up. Than it hit me; I wasn’t truely looking from her perspective. To truely look from her perspective I would have to become her, feel the feelings she felt. That would mean I would be saying exactly what she was, explaining her POV. Even though we might truely try to listen to someone, we are still taking their words and filtering them to our perceptions, beliefs, etc. Don’t be so quickly to say you understand someone else’s perspective. If you truely did, you wouldn’t be defending your so much.

@Nahm Well, its called “universal spiritual event”, so there will definitely be some spiritual people attending. However, I expect mostly stage green surface stuff, some crystal stands, yoga workshops, dancing, etc. Also some of my friends, stage orange/green, not into spirituality, will be attending. The workshop is centered around vision, including some guiding principles and practical excercises for people to create there own vision around spirituality. The definition would set the stage, and get people to understand what we are talking about. @Leo Gura So that level of radicalness is not going to fly ? @Bill W This part is nice! Im probably keep it on the positive side though, not get into to much of the suffering part ? -
Definitely down for some more SD content. Especially about how the stages build on eachother, and how lower stages still have influence when operating from higher stages. +1

Was just about to make the exact same post, with the same video lol. ?????

Since we are on the topic of fear, this is a nice youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/TheFearlessManTV It is centered around dating for men, but also includes other personal development topics such as emotions, theories, exercises, etc. This exercise is nice for the second(?) approach for dealing with fear Leo mentions in dealing with fear part 2 episode. It talks about gradually getting out of your comfort zone, by rating the tension you will feel in a journal, and acting on it. I would say the channel is nice for guys making the transition from orange into stage green spiral dynamics (the fearless man is GREEN/yellow in my estimation).

I am studying in Maastricht, The Netherlands. There aren't any radical, amazing, spiritual programs as far as I know. However, for some it might be a good fit. What I like most about Maastricht University is that we work with the PBL (Problem Based Learning) system. This entails that most of the literature/work is discussed in small groups of 12-15 students, instead of lectures. Students have a lot of autonomy and responsibility, as they provide most of the sessions themselves. Also, it's quite focussed on practical application. Overall, a stage orange/GREEN, maybe bit of yellow here and there, university. Including domains such as psychology, business, health care, arts, politics, etc. More than half, I believe, of the students are international as well.

@Leo Gura Thank you, I am keeping an eye out for burning myself out. I won’t let it get that far. @Average Investor Those are some good tips indeed, thank you. I am eating quite healthy. Working out kind of fell of though. I used to go to the gym three times a week, but I got sick of weightlifting, so stopped with that. I do yoga once a week, which helps a lot. Also some stretching in the morning and half an hour meditation. Ill make sure to incorporate more excercise. My girlfriend and roomies are going to classes at the gym, Ill see how I like that. @Shiva I don’t know. My best friend is working at a small stage orange/green consultancy firm now, where I did an internship. Even though the work and culture are quite nice, I just don’t see myself working a full time week like that. It feels like it would throw a ranch in this whole personal development thing Ive got going. Also, I do think becoming independent is possible for me, Ive got quite a bit of momentum going already. @Knock I already have two small businesses at the moment. One is a massage practice. This was something I wanted since I was young, last year I picked it up by doing a course, reading some books, etc. Around a month and a half ago I “opened” by practice. Ive got a place I subrent for 2 days a week, a website, and a stack of flyers. So far, Ive only gotten friends and family to come by. I havent had the time en energy to really market it well to the outside. Also, I feel its internal resistance to it. Its hard to incorporate it into my identity. Anyways, I see this more as a side-experiment. I will invest in it more, but I am not relying on this as my core income source. Second, I have my own training company. This is also still quite small, but Ive done some projects already. - I have helped to develop and implement a management game for organisations who are transitioning into a self-organizing working style. - I just finished a project where I did content development for a leadership workshop, for another training company. - I am currently developing a vision workshop. In a few weeks I am doing a test run at a training company I might collaborate with, as well as presenting it at an event. Overal, I have build up quite some connections with the university, training companies, consulting companies. Feels like I need to capitalize on my opportunities now.

@Zak You don’t seem to like vagina.

I was just reading an article for a managment course, and was positively suprised. The article is called “Creating shared value” by Micheal E. Porter and Mark R. Kramer. The article provides a new perspective on capitalism. A stage yellow perspective that aligns organisations and societies. The main quote for me in the article is: “ Our vision has simply been to narrow”. They point out all the deeper structures and causal chains that organisations nowadays dont take into account. How they are shooting themselves in the foot with their selfishness without realising it. Instead of some CSR window dressing, they propose radical realignments with social needs, and point out succeses booked by leading organisations. Check it out, worth the read ?

@Leo Gura Thank you!! -
@Leo Gura Hee Leo, in your last video you talk about the existential “form” of Love (lego blocks), and its connection to higher order forms of love (lego blocks made out of lego blocks). How I interpreted it, is that as human beings we want to try to let the higher order structures we create to reflect the absolute nature of Love. Higher order structures here including things like our actions, inventions, social structures, etc. Etc. What would these higher order structures look like practicaly? Does that come down to the mainstream form of love we see now? Should I even be worried about what it would look like, or should I just go for Love and see where it brings me? How would I know I am actually connected to Love, and not just justifying selfishness? Are higher structures of love reflecting Love better in some way? Its hard for me to see something is more desirable without making a “good” and “bad” category out of it. Anyways, I don’t expect you to answer all this, I will rewatch the video soon, and continue my own journey ofcourse ?

Oh, and can’t the same analogy be useful for explaining understanding? How higher order phenomonon such as language, words, models, pictures, etc. Can reflect the existential nature of reality. Consciousness configuring into limited forms so it can look back at itself. -
@Wekz Interesting, could you share more about what happened with your hearth chakra? Perhaps your problem lays there. I know that mdma blasts open my hearth chakra. Perhaps mdma fills that void of heart energy for you.

This is somewhat confusing to me. When are you mastering a spiral dynamics stage in a healthy way, and when are you digging yourself into one stage and getting yourself stuck? The main critisism for example I heard from Leo about JP is that he makes people get stuck in blue/orange. How are some teachings more healthy in this sense than others? Is it about critisism of the next stages? Is it about rigidness/ideology of the belief system? What makes the difference here?
-
@Leo Gura Aah, that makes sense, thanks. @tsuki People love to chose suffering over change ?
-
Lol I dont really agree. I think every stage has lessons in it and the stages build on eachother. You need the ethics and order and collective to support the personal success from orange etc.
-
@Max8 Its not about finding one perse, its about creating one. What would you like your life to be like? Dont overthink it in the sense that there is somehow one right vision for you. I highly recommend the book Your life as art by Robert Fritz.

I guess a corelary to this; relative truth and all its dynamics
