@oMarcos I see what you mean! I kind of try to go with the flow and just build a routine from doing a thing so much right now. I have an F it day where anything goes in terms of time stuff, but I usually still work out at least. Sometimes I could go on video games in the week, but I am going to limit it to once a week I think. I usually don't have time for the video games anyway. You should try the app taskful that helps me quite a bit. I am a bit more scattered and sometimes I just go on there and see what task I feel like doing.

I want to try to build a powerful daily routine. My life is too scattered. Sometimes working too many hours often. I want to set a good routine to build myself a more rounded day with self actualization work. I even took more time to introspect today and it has been great. My proposed schedule: Wake up 6-6:30am (going to take a little work to get there again) Get business stuff sorted ( A must before 9-10am ) Can cost 0-4 hours depending on day. Typically 30-45 minutes. Working on efficiency to drop times to a minimum. Meditate for 1 hour : I mediate in the bath tub typically. I've been on it for over 6 months and almost every day. Maybe you have another suggestion?? Shower:10-15 minutes Prepare smoothie while working on computer for up to 2 hours. 30 minute yoga session : I have tried one beginner yoga session on youtube. I really enjoyed it. Working on space to make this a habit. Have lunch. Usually pre-made soup. 2 hours of solid business work. 2 hours work out session. Bike rides or walking and jogging daily. Upper body work out daily. Sometimes with binural beats, mostly informational stuff, sometimes music. Always out in nature. Eat dinner (45 minutes cook, prep, eat) Read 30 minutes or a chapter. Sometimes the chapter takes me awhile lol. With all of this I assume I have expended roughly about 11 hours and 15 minutes. I aim for 8 hours of sleep. So this would leave me about 5 hours and 45 minutes. Now of course that is to assume I do it perfectly. But I can aim for something like that. I would need to cut out more distractions. Of course I have to do stuff to maintain the house and what not too. What kinds of things would you guys recommend I use in the estimated time left over? I have thought about trying a journal. I even spent some extra time just today to just think about stuff instead of work tonight and it was totally worth it. What kind of tips do you have for maintaining a schedule? My biggest issue is really just wake up times I feel like. If I can get myself up early I completely crush the day usually. I struggle a bit with falling asleep. I think if I were to remove more work and pc time from night time I would be able to maintain it. I want to have a day every week I can not do most of this. Take it and go hiking, work on a car, tinker with audio stuff, play video games, travel a bit, etc. Just do something random.

It was nice and sunny out. Hitting the rainy season where I live.
-
@oMarcos To show successful days or what on it? Or just like a list of the schedule?
-
@SerpaeTetra Yeah, you're right for sure. I am just going to focus on being up early right now. Only 1pm and today has been quite productive.
-
It sounds like a lot of the issue is maybe around where you live and the limited options it's providing you. It might be worth it to consider a new place to live. I am sure the relationship sounds great now. But imagine how much better of a partner you could find investing more into yourself. Not having someone trying to get you to resist change. Having someone who has maybe developed similar habits and practices. I say once you make it about another 5 months or so you will be able to be quite healed from this as long as you continue working on yourself. Watch Leo's new video on love. I think it would help you see the beauty in this dissolving. I bet you are headed towards a great future if you stay on the right track.
-
@SerpaeTetra I mean to be fair it isn't really going to account for things that come up. I don't feel like I have 5 hours left of the day at the end. Maybe 2 hours of computer time when I relax. The yoga and reading will be newer additions. I do read, but not as consistent as I would like. But even then usually I just don't sit on the pc for that long. It depends how the day goes. Sometimes I just feel like doing 10 hours of work. So I want to set some limits and try and focus on good quality hours of work. I am working on making this into my day. But a good chunk of these habit I already do.

@studentofthegame Hey! I try to be, but sometimes it isn't always the case and it definitely hasn't always been. I am trying to get on the right track to moving into a bigger life purpose and being more independent. It's going to be a lot of work. I am sure I am in some way or another. I have been doing a bit of shadow work and good introspection on issues I may have, but it isn't always easy to spot them. Pessimism is one big thing I have been putting time into lately and it has been a big improvement to try and move past thinking that way and being more positive. I am reading authentic happiness and it has been helping with that. When I mentioned the friend stuff it's something I am working on. I'd like to have more higher spiral friends that are not just into drugs or drinking. My last relationship was kind of abusive and just pretty low quality. And I've grown up in abusive environments. So just where I am at I have low tolerance anymore for low quality people. I'm sure even at some point I will find an awesome girl that treats me good and some more awesome friends that treat me well too.
-
@Deepconcepts Not the case at all lol. I write quite a bit and pretty fast, so size doesn't matter. Just content. I think that's a good quote. Just kind of a go with the flow type idea I assume. I did actually wake up at 7:30 toay and got a couple hours of work done with a quick meditation. So it's been a great start of working on a good routine. I spent yesterday mostly just working on a bike and have been giving myself a bit of a break. I have a few big projects to work on. Yeah, if you like you can message me what you are working on. I'd love to hear.

I find it important to have a reason and vision why you must resist certain temptations. Do you want to lose weight? Have a cleaner diet? Those types of motivations will make it easier to resist the ice cream bar. I would not try to resist something without a specific reason, or you will likely fail resisting it. Try to focus in on one resistance. I quit nicotine after 5 years of use 4 months ago. I visualized how much better my physical activity could be without it. I visualized how much more attractive to the opposite sex I would be. I visualized how much more powerful I would feel without it. The constant need and brain training from. I rarely even think about it now. And it is extremely rare I get a craving for some unless I am having ego backlash.

There is always someone out there for everyone. You just have to put yourself out there more. Shop at different stores, eat a different places, do different things. You will be surprised how many more you start meeting with just that. If you start adding hobbies and stuff finding them gets easier and easier. Is it possible to live life with out them? Yes. While you are younger the urge is much stronger to find a partner as your brain was designed to do that. Once you get older I assume it just gets easier to not have one around. It really just depends on how much you work on yourself to be alone. Start doing some weights. Start eating better. Start talking to women a bit. Even just smiling, waving, saying hi etc. You will be shocked at how much your confidence will raise. Once they start noticing that they will be all over you. Just confidence will do it really. But work on yourself. If you are needy, then don't expect to have any luck. Work on getting yourself into a great spot and you will be fine. Saying it won't happen is a bad mind set. It will happen if you want it to.

@Deepconcepts Thanks for your your advice and well put together response! I was mostly having the issue of working too much, but where I am with my business I should be able to work 6-8 hours a day and be able to reach the goals I want. At least for the time being. I do have a strong work out routine and I have been working much more on volume. I have been working out for a year now. I guess kind of where I am going is to move out of constant work and a bit more personal development. I will give that a shot more with the meditation. I have been in a flow for it today for about 3 hours or so. Had a long drive, but did use the binural beat. I did hang out with some people today. I really only have one friend anymore these days and it isn't a super strong relationship, but I went and hung out with his friends and him for a car show today as it was a day I decided to blow of steam. I had followed them up to this place about an hour or so out. We ate there and were going to drive to park I thought. I lost them in the traffic. I figured they drove out on the beach and I just got out of my car and spent like an hour by myself just looking at the cars and stuff. They didn't actually notice until they had read the message asking if they went on the beach. I actually felt better just going and doing that myself. I told them it was fine and I really did consider where they may have went. I just really had no interest in searching for them since I did message him with no reply. I cut off two big circles of friends I had this year. I know over 500 people in my town as in I have their numbers in my phone and I could talk to some of these people. Just removed anyone who doesn't respect me, abuses drugs, lives a low quality life, etc. Not hard to remove people it seems. I mean even when I talked to those people today I told them I did not care about it. Even my cousin I told him I don't care if he makes time to talk with me, but I do value it when we do. But we didn't talk for like 4 months. I mostly talk to a member on this forum through messages and sometimes to another friend who is into this type of work over video games if I play them, but I will not play for month or so sometimes. I don't actually go meet these people. Really I talk to my mom, which probably isn't always the best idea. But I live with her and could not talk much for days if I am working. Just depends I suppose. I mean I see people while exercising and some business related stuff and I kind of flirt with girls a bit, but I just avoid them once they show too much interest. I have abundance in terms of options. So yeah, I don't know just not really something I feel I want at the moment. I do realize that these are pretty crucial pieces to happiness. I'm pretty happy usually though. I mean I have good people skills. People tend to like me. I'm an excellent salesman when needed too. I've just got to a point where I'm tired of people hurting me, so I just don't really care anymore to build a relationship with people. I've found it easier to just make money more and replace any time you may need someone. Like if you need a ride for some reason you can always pay someone. Or whatever. I'm aware to this issue. But I have to be honest I find a good sense of peace in it for the time being. When I was in my last business I would spend hours every days with people I became to know very well. And I have not talked to any of them anymore. I realize a lot of it was just survival based, but I have thousands of hours of experience with people. I do actually have a german shepard that can jog 6 miles straight with me if needed. It works out with me 3-4 days a week of 6 miles. Usually, 2 jogging and 4 walking right now. Just to get back into a high consistency without the intensity as I have already hit high intensity physically several times this summer. It wants to go more than it is right now, but I do not take it biking when I go for days in between. Perfection is not really a goal that is in mind. I just have the time and drive I feel like to attempt to add more. But I could try and lay off the time things as much and just do what I can and not stress it as much. I just feel I get sucked into a time loop if I don't focus on it as much. Majorly even just waking up again at the time desired would be mega impactful. I can do it. Yeah, it is weird how it all works. I find myself thinking of those ideals often. And analyzing others of what they are doing with them. It's a strange thing to think about. I will try just one new thing when I am ready. Probably just the wake up time to get it solid for now.

Weighing yourself every day is a terrible idea. Move towards a healthier lifestyle and you will not need to worry about it.
-
I think enjoyment is really the largest factor in it. I was a terrible student in classes I did not enjoy. I suck up information like a sponge while I am interested in the topic. I actually will get partially though a book and switch to another if I get resistance to reading it. I like to be excited by the information I am taking in. If I am excited by it I will share it with others, which in turn makes it very memorable for me. When I had resistance in college I just powered through it. I could still find my self in that rut now. But really all I do is stop doing it. Sometimes I find myself without much time to read a book, or resistance to it. I have one right now I am itching to read more of. But I am okay with the cycle of not reading it. I have retained half of the book very well and have improved my life from the information as it is. You're probably just burnt out. I go and play some video games, work on a car, listen to music, or on occasion smoke weed. Now I don't mean to indulge in those things all the time. Just take a day a week at least if you can. I have a hard time with my business stuff spilling into the time, but when I get it I perform so much better. Take your mind off it for a day if you can. I bet you will come back more refreshed.

I'd find a way to generate income with the property. Doing minimal work tends to produce minimal results in my experience.

@Giulio Bevilacqua Have you ever been the inflicted by their bad decisions? People who are high and drunk often tend to make bad choices. Maybe they drive around drunk or whatever it may be that they do. Do they ever commit crimes with you there? Bring illegal substance in your car while on a car ride? Those are just some ways that just their choices could effect you. People who hang out around people who smoke cigarettes are more likely to smoke them. You can pretty much replace "smoke cigarettes" with steal, drink, speed, play video games, play soccer, you name it. Do you ever talk like those friends do? Maybe they have a funny way of saying a word, or they have a saying for something, that you have noticed yourself to do the same.
-
@bmcnicho Why would you make yourself miserable to try to make someone feel better? I am sure other people around you promote you to be a nice guy and continue with it. You can skip our advise, but I would suggest you work on yourself as well. Because I was very weak, when I continued an abusive relationship for the same reasoning. I hope it works out for you either way.

Easy way to get hooked on crazy in my experience. I'd run for the hills while you still have a chance. I'd say that she will eventually become very clingy and push you anyway. But if you think she needs help now imagine once you are with her for a year what it would be like. Dump all of your time and energy into her making very minimal gains.

@montecristo Yeah, I do still take omega 3, calcium, and b12. I would suspect I just do not get enough of the b12 without it. I am going to get blood tested next week though, so I assume they would inform me if I am deficient elsewhere. I think with my consumption of chia seeds is more than enough omega 3, but like you said I would probably need to see into it more. Coming winter I would consume D12 supplements too. But even for me having a big of experience within that realm it isn't something I am an expert on. I have spent the time researching what I eat though to help make sure I am keeping up well with other essentials and eating foods that would give me the vitamins from the suggested supplements. I was more suggesting towards the need for a more diverse diet to survive using the winter as an example. Where we sit at now we have access to all sorts of foods that we could not get access to. So that is why we now sit at the issue of what is right and wrong and not what is the only options. I will take a look more into what I can do with a diet. I have considered fish and what not. But to be fair things have just been going so smoothly I just have not really pondered adding more things. I just successfully cut off added sugar and I rarely will eat out. My diet is very well managed and prepared. My diet consists of a large variety of fruits, veggies, beans, quinoa. I snack on things like nuts and other protein bars and etc. Breakfast is a smoothie that consists of fruits and veggies that get rotated. Lunch is a similar thing to Leo's health soup, but I have beans and many of my own favorite rotating veggies in it. And dinner is quinoa with a variety of things like mushrooms, avocado, 3 different Yum sauces, hot sauce, tofu, tempeh, and working to add things like black beans and other things to switch it up. I will admit I have hit struggle points of eating the same thing or not eating enough. But where I sit now things rotate very well and I don't seem to get bored. I work out almost every day for 60-120 minutes and seem to have plenty of energy for my small business that can eat up sometimes 60-70 hours in a week of work sometimes. I plan to run a marathon next summer if I am able to. But even this summer I completed a mountain hike that was over 500 floors and 24+ miles in 17 hours. So I feel my energy source is good. But monitoring it well with the blood tests and stuff I think can prove me well. But I have to admit for someone not 100% committed to the life style and research it could prove difficult. I feel like most individuals could massively benefit from some sort of professional nutritionist, even myself. I see hardcore athletes with a lot of money have access to that type of stuff, even getting meals specifically designed for them after months of tests and etc. Wheat is another beast I have not really researched. It is very scarce in my diet at this point as I don't keep any bread products around and pretty much completely stopped eating substitute meats and etc. But yeah, I'd imagine we exploit the shit out of anything that can make our society a profit unfortunately. I'll look into it more though as I never considered wheat to be something exploited. I'll take a look more into the other stuff as I can to. I've found this conversation to be well. As I have not had much of an informed talk with someone on the subject. -

@montecristo Yeah, I hear you there. I have actually suggested to my 80 year old grandma to not bother with it. As I would fear she would consider it out of a lack of research. I'd imagine her diet growing up was a lot more rich in home grown veggies, fruits, and meat. They had some sort of a farm type living and access to a lot more locally sourced goods. I'd believe somewhere in the middle of all of it is our current best option. Getting away from all of the chemicals and crap in modern food. I actually usually almost never promote someone to go vegan, but I will encourage people to quit dairy if they are open to listening. I have encouraged someone with lupus to try going vegan to help with their medical issues, but they did not bother. I believe the government has had a very big involvement in making people sick and fat using dairy. Lobbying from corporations has caused a massive spike in dairy and especially cheese consumption since the early 2000s. Our obesity rate in the US actually correlates with cheese consumption. While cheese is digesting it actually breaks down similar to an opiate. Just like companies tossing sugar in everything to get people addicted, take a look at what has cheese on it anymore. Even in "organic" produce they still use pesticides on it. Almost a very insignificant amount of difference between organic and not from what I have looked at. So shifting through all of this is very difficult. Especially when you have extremists on any end of it. If I even bother to mention something about vegan, I'd assume people think I am like a Jehovah's witness knocking at your door. So typically I try not mention to people I am vegan until I have to continually politely decline their offers for food. But surprisingly people will ask a lot of questions about it once I do mention it. Online here sure I will mention these things more often because I want to help promote people to find alternatives as this is a self help forum. -

@montecristo Yeah, it does become hard to shift through the mud especially for the food industry. From any angle of it. And self bias is a major issue within it. Which is why I suggested my direct experience is pretty irrelevant. I believe that our ability to be omnivores has been a big component of our survival. Imagine a hard winter with a lot of snow, causing your crops to become frozen or just other wild plants. You would definitely need to eat meat in order to survive. Especially with the massive loss in calories in that type of environment. I am also not surprised at people who benefit from an all meat diet. Removing sugars, dairy, and a big slew of chemicals from your diet is bound to make you feel better. However, there is a massive amount of different vegan dishes that can provide all the needed nutrients. I would suspect I am at the point of not needing supplements now with my diet. In terms of environmental effect I would suspect growing a lot of plants would be better than farming a bunch of animals. But I don't have any research on hand suggesting that. -

I haven't really seen anything that made me believe the opposite. Not any sort of activist or anything of that sort. I feel much better. Have a list of health issues that have disappeared since going vegan. And my health is optimal. I did not make the choice to save the world or anything of that nature. I like the idea that it could help the environment just like cutting down on plastics and what not. But when I go to the doctors and look at how dramatically my health has improved on paper and feeling it makes sense to me. My own success shouldn't matter to you though. Find what works for you. I'll watch some of the videos when I get the time, but I have already made some attempts at looking at opposing information. And try to keep my focus elsewhere after listening to research on the topic for a few months in the last year. As for it being the cause for ruining the environment or something like that have you ever looked how much green house gases the meant industry creates? I'm assuming some sort of fact based evidence towards that is not contained in videos. Maybe try for yourself at looking at the other end of the perspective. -
Great article. Speaking from experience I have dropped a lot of friends even ones I have had for nearly 10 years. Thieves, addicts, etc. It's easy to get yourself stuck around people going into a bad direction, but hard to find yourself with the right people going in a good direction. Most of my friends right now are online friends that practice personal development and I can use them as a resource to reflect and share insights with. I have one local friend now I see maybe once a month and we will go hiking or sometimes go bowling with him and his other friends. He is not into the same type of personal development stuff, but he isn't an addict and has good work ethic. I've actually been friends with him since about 3rd grade and we have always kind of had a friendship that would continue even with long periods of not talking. I do want to find more good local friends, but for now this is good for me. I feel the friend may be open to some personal development work in the future though, but it isn't anything I want to cram down their throat. You know there is a lot of music that is stage green and etc. I am sure you could find other artists to work with to create something. You could even work together online. Not even someone you have to meet in person. Just a suggestion. Best of luck.

I think this has been the cause for the biggest slow downs in my life time for growth. I've managed to create settings for myself where I had no need to be pessimistic a few times. But of course those things don't last. I've watched many others get sucked into a deep hole after something like a family members death, or even a friends death. Placing many others around me who are always in a half empty mind frame and not going anywhere in life. I've removed all real life "friends" but one for other reasons, but this is just another thing on the list. Of course with personal development work I am more optimistic than before, but my mind set needs a good overhaul. I feel as if I have achieved a pretty fair amount even with being pessimistic. But my greatest potential will be much better. I hit a pretty solid amount of ego back lash recently after completely removing adding sugar, high stress, and a lot of introspection. Anger is another thing that I will have to work on. Not that it is extreme, but an emotion that could be used better. Anyway, figured I would share this after doing a good amount of introspection lately. Not my easiest slump I have hit in awhile. Mostly just a mental barrier I have had to hop over and now getting all of the good habits back on track.

@Raptorsin7 Best of luck to you with it. I only have a full year of college. But I was able to use that to figure out I am just going to run businesses, so I found it very beneficial. I love my work now. Has ups and downs, but everything in life does. Just take your time. It won't come quickly.
