Really have been nailing down my habits lately aside from the journal. I got my mediation set up in today and it is amazing. So far my legs are not falling asleep anymore and my back feels a lot better. It was expensive, but I should have just got it in the first place. Going to do some more research and get the reverse osmosis too. I have been quite busy with reselling. I cleaned the shed and the garage pretty thoroughly. Huge relief to have all of that cleaned up. I am going to get more done just because of that too. I was intending to do the posters, but I am going through all of my regular items I have. I am sorting out what needs to be donated or going into the trash. Just getting all of that sorted, so I can get to a few of the big ticket items. I want to pump out as much as stuff as I can. I probably should be listing myself, but I have been all in on getting them cleaned, pictured, etc. I will get to the posters pretty soon though. I have the system for the regular items down, so it is not a big deal for me to just go at these for now. I have really needed to clear out my pile of stuff that has accumulated anyway. I finished adding my own graphics to my store and I am going to work on editing all of my listings that are up. Probably about 10% a day. I did some editing today and it got me some good sales, so I can see it will help. Prices change often, so I could be way too high on a good chunk of stuff. That and adding new words and correcting stuff. I had an experience of No-self or nothing in meditation the other day. It shocked my ego and I actually was crying a bit from it. Was an interesting experience. I was in a light contemplation while meditating and it seemed to happen from that. Seems my meditation is going a lot deeper. I have kind of been on halt with the EDT and just working really deep with the sedona method. It is giving me more and more profound results. Probably one of the best things I have discovered so far in self help. I allow myself to effortlessly reach my listing goal of $50,000. Today I am thankful for: Sales picking back up Getting rid of chrismas items New meditation set up!

Excitement is not a good value to go for. Although, it is a good experience for sure. I have had a a good bit of that in my current business. Excitement is not really that sustainable. Or you have to go to more extreme levels to obtain it. Nothing wrong with enjoying it, but I would not build a purpose fully around that. I would work on identifying other values you have and identify your other interests. It might even be possible to combined gaming with something that you are really passionate about. Maybe even things from designing games, or putting a positive spin on most of the culture around it.

Honestly, for your size, weight, and body fat that does not sound bad at all. That sounds like a good starting point if you do want to be more lean. I would set a goal for where you want to be and visualize it every day. Place it at the center of the dream board. Think of how life would feel having the body you want. I would also try not to weigh yourself very often. Maybe once a month. I weigh myself every few months now. Work on building up the practices that would get you towards the goal you want. Invest a lot of time into researching the optimal diet for you. Try out some different stuff too. Everyone is different in what will get them results. That and building up a good exercise routine. I would do it on whatever you enjoy the most. You might be surprised that things like tennis, bowling, etc could give you that and be a lot of fun. I like to hike myself and that makes a solid workout. I do a lot of jogging and walking. Walking was actually what propelled me into having massive personal development growth. I would listen to Leo all the time on what build up to 2 hour walks. It helped me shred a ton of weight. Cardio in general is excellent for burning fat if that is what you want.
-
@levani I would just test them both and really see what will work for you. Also, I think you could probably do one, then the other. Feeling the urge fully before going and doing it. Out of curiosity do you have any trauma around food or body weight?

I looked into the systems quite a bit. I was looking to get one that is fairly easy to install since I am going to be doing it myself. I also wanted to get a really high quality set up with easy to change out filters. Edit: Here is the top option I am looking at now: https://www.amazon.com/Home-Master-TMULTRA-ERP-Undersink-Reverse/dp/B00N2941Z6/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=home+master+tmultra&qid=1605647971&s=hi&sr=1-4 No added minerals. It does not help prevent the tank from degrading, but I am assuming just those extra minerals help do that. I guess the concern would be on how long the actual tank lasts, but this seems to be one of the better systems I have looked at on the market. I am curious on your guys thoughts of the added minerals? Home Master TMHP HydroPerfection Undersink Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N2941N8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 The filter has calcium bicarbonate 95% & magnesium 5%. The blend of calcium and magnesium at a rate of 30-60mg/L. I believe the calcium bicarbonate would be coming from lime stone and the magnesium from marble. I did a lot of research on the berkey system I have and it has been a total waste. The system is a total pain in the ass to use and it failed before 10 months. I am looking to upgrade and get something that is the best option, but there is a lot of confusing factors on these filters. I obviously don't want to order a system that is going to have garabge in it I don't want, but it would probably be better than the berkey regardless. Any thoughts or experience with units you have had?
-
@Leo Gura I had seen those systems as well. I can't imagine it really matters if the system is BPA free or not. Do you have any opinion on the calcium bicarbonate in it? It says is naturally comes from the limestone as well. It says it helps balance the acidity of the water. I would guess without this it could eat at the tank and maybe even not be as good to drink without it? I have never really heard of an issue with drinking more acidic water, but I know a lot of the bottled water brands seem to tout their PH level. The price point is more attractive and I like that container set up quite a bit more. Looks like it would be less of a hassle to mess with. I appreciate the suggestion.

I spend a lot of time reading and contemplating at the park. It is amazing. I can read and get a lot more clarity contemplating it feels like. There is something about being there that allows me to reach a much higher emotional state easier. It's really easy to fill your entire day with habits and work. I try to build in some time a few times a week to go to the park. On the weekend I will go for several hours. I am starting to go there in the rain too, but there is some covered places.
-
Really taking my personal growth much more seriously. I investing in a 5 book set from Lester and I got the large sedona method audio course with the 190 page worksheet coming. I know I want to do some life purpose course stuff too, but the sedona method stuff has really been working well for me. I was honestly not really thinking of it as much of a spiritual practice, but that would explain why I have felt the way I have at the park and the amount of gains I am getting from it. I notice there is such a major reduction in old negative thoughts and I am able to get myself into higher energy states throughout the day. I feel like for where I am right now this is the right time for me to work on this stuff. I want to do the life purpose stuff pretty bad though too, but I am putting a lot of energy into the business right now for that. I want to sustain the business enough and get a lot of processes automatic, then I want to start working on a life purpose right away. I am still considering the life coaching or something similar. I am starting to get really good at speaking now too. If I shoot a yotuube video again it would be a big difference. Did a 20 minute speech today that was not written out aside from an outline. I did it on toxins, so that was something I talk about a lot and know a good chunk on. It was easy for me to put together a few props and have it ready to go. I think the timer screwed up, so it could be short on the 20 lol. I am going to do another one this week and it should be pretty good. I did actually talk to my toast master friend quite a bit today. We have not talked in a while at least a deeper conversation. I was interested to find out he is familiar with EDT and spiral dynamics. He said he had not heard of spiral dynamics in about 10 years lol. Seems so interesting that he knows so much about self help and psychology stuff. I seem to have maybe placed him lower on the spiral, than I had believed. I was also being a hermit there for quite awhile. I am aiming to have higher developed friends and he probably does have quite a bit there. I would take a guess and say he has a fair amount of blue in him, but I can't really say anyone that follows a religion is just deep S/D blue. I would take a guess that there is likely a range of blue to yellow. That would seem reasonable and given the age it would make more sense to be moving into green assuming their is a good environment for it. I probably should not worry to much on that, but I want to have more friends that resonate with where I am at and going. I would imagine he would not be fond of the idea of psychedelics either lol. It seems like the sales are going fairly slow, but I need to keep putting up a lot more items too. I do have a good flow going in. I am about to reach 770 actually and I have over $27,000 again after selling quite a bit. I am going to be putting up a few big ticket items and hopefully I can hit the $30,000 mark soon. I feel like I need to break more of my resistance with the posters still too. I was doing random items quite a bit lately too. I got probably about 30 items of random stuff ready that are good value. So that kind of stuff should sell well this time of year. I really need to get in onto the posters ASAP though. I bet that I could get everything ready to start on them tomorrow if I get my pictures done and finish up. I am going to start working on listing 5 of them a day myself too, then start ramping it up. If I could do like 15 or something that would be amazing. I allow myself to effortlessly reach my listing goal of $50,000. Today I am thankful for Starting to feel better Dental cleaning! Sedona method

I listened to it and I respect the person who post it. I just thought that there was not a whole lot of substance on what else there was to critique. I agree it isn't good for Leo to say that he does psychedelics in the bath. However, Leo mentioned not to do it and people will do it one way or another. It's been about 6 months since I listened, but that was mostly the main critique they brought up on him. It was pretty neutral too with the guest liking Leo's work and the host not liking his work. That is a pretty good podcast though. I have not listened in awhile.

@Claymoree Yeah, my claim is a stretch for sure. I noticed after the fact the price momentum started before the pandemic as well. I could not really see it being the main currency. However, I could see it being a part of a complex monetary system. I would be interested to see who is buying a lot of this supply and why. -

@integral To me this would indicate that not average retail investors are buying bitcoin. Most people would at least be searching how much their bitcoin is worth if it has been having this kind of price action. You very well could see retail investors following in on this. This is people or groups with a large amount of cash potentially buying up the supply. This could be similar behavior with gold during the great depression as well. Take a look what happened with gold during the great depression. Please don't take this as me forecasting that, but this time period has a lot of similarities to that. Assuming you read my notes earlier in the thread about that time frame. Edit: Woah, look at the volume in the price chart! -
@levani Just you putting in the effort is plenty for me. I am glad to help. It's like how Leo says in the video that no habit can remain that is in your awareness. With myself I had struggled a lot with OCD. Doing compulsive things. Really what was happening is I was going into a lower state of awareness. When you are acting upon something from a lower conscious state it is very hard to resist urges to do something. So when you practice putting the unwanted behaviors in the lime light it makes it hard for them to last. For myself I had a difficult time rapidly stroking my hair in the shower. This would be common for someone to act this out who had this sort of issue. I would get deeply wrapped in thought. Usually, about things that were running rampant in my mind. Things like video games, stocks, etc. However, if I am at full awareness in the shower this simply cannot happen. I would not knowingly want to enter that state. It makes me feel bad after the fact. When I was quitting nicotine, I had done it for 5 years. A lot of the time it was not really a thought for me to vape. I would just do the behavior. With the device I had I actually would get burned really bad on the lip sometimes. Happened maybe a few times during the 5 years, but it was really unpleasant. My hands would always have the eliquid all over them and I hated it. I did not like how it really made me feel. It hurt my relationships with people. I had times where I was consuming extremely high amounts of nicotine. I had even got nicotine poisoning. What I did was apply that awareness to all of those things. I would really feel the entire experience of vaping each time I did. Where as before I would just unconsciously do it. It also took some will power to quite as well. I was trying to avoid a feeling of just being by doing it. I could not handle just being in the moment. I would feel how negative my lungs would feel. I would feel how gross my hands would feel. How burnt my lip had been (actually happened right before I quit lol.) I would notice that I was really not getting anything good at all from this experience. It was actually so negative that there was not a positive in it. Before, I would just sweep these thoughts under the rug about how it was not helping me. I would come up with ways to even justify doing it. Most recently I had quit playing video games for about a year and was playing them again. I was playing them a bit, then I decided to do one day. I noticed during that one day it was hard for me to stop playing. I thought that really I was having fun playing the games. I even shrugged off it being addictive again. I had been thinking a bit though how it sucked to miss out on that day of the week. I wasn't reading as much as I was before and I loved that. It was getting a bit in the way of my habits. I decided to really see what emotion was below my desire to play this "fun" game so much. It was sadness. I felt mostly sad or lonely playing the game. I noticed I was having issues with other behaviors in terms of how much I was thinking about the games too. It was hard for me to justify playing it after becoming aware of that. I went ahead and uninstalled the games. Now I have trained and practiced this stuff quite a bit now, but that is how powerful that can be. I feel much better now being able to just uninstall something that I have been addicted to most of my life. Not to say I won't play a game again. I don't want to play a game if it makes me sad, unhappy, or unfulfilled.

Do you typically fast? I use to do a one 2 meals per day and I found it really ineffective for me. I can see benefits of fasting, but it could be worth trying to just build a better diet vs. fasting for now. However, it is totally up to you. If the fasting works for you, then continue with it. It just sounds like it is causing you to eat really late into the day. It could also be distracting you from being able to build the diet you want. If you ate those higher volume foods for example they will not go well with a fasting diet like that. Awesome, so you made progress towards eating healthier. I would suggest building out one really healthy meal, then moving to the next. You are making great progress. Notice the awareness while you are eating those foods. What is the underlying emotion in those moments? I hate to overload you with suggestions, but I have recently tried having a dream board in my room. It is a big whiteboard where I write out all of the things I want to add to my life/awareness. Honestly, I can see it working well for me, so I think it would be worth a shot for you too. Long thread, but this is where I got the inspiration from. It is totally worth the read, when you get the chance. In the mean time you could consider getting a white board and trying that. Writing out aspirations that come to mind and reflecting on them daily. Take some time to work on it. You can make a playlist of those videos. Take the time to apply the practice more consistently. I know it might not seem as effective from one use, but after repeated use I think you can get some results. Sounds like one of the causes for the action. Might be a good piece to introspect on if that sensation is worth continuing the habit? That is called "ego backlash". Your body is trying to keep you in homeostasis, so it wants to go back to what is comfortable and works. The cool thing with this is you could set the standard with healthy food. I would continue your efforts, but figure out the middle ground of going too far out of the comfort zone, but not too light either. If you can figure out when it is best to apply more effort vs less. Maybe if you are having a had day, then not going full force on all clean eating etc. Also, this is why I suggest changing mostly one meal at a time. Building out a structure or routine with your eating.

@Someone here You got past the worst part. Now to just keep yourself in the right direction. Good work!

Here is something interesting to ponder for those looking at BTC. I pulled up the 5 year for google trends search and the 5 year price chart. Bitcoin showing nearly the same price range without hardly the search interest. Just something interesting I thought I would share. -
@flume Yeah, we could make a healthy recipe mega thread! If you want you can just start it, then we could link threads into it? Not sure what the rules are with it though. That or just placing the recipes there, but I feel like comments and stuff would make it a bit harder to shift through them opposed to posting one and sharing it there. @Username Yeah, I used some in this, but I baked it. The spirals were a test, but fresh had a much better taste. I would like to ditch the noodles soon. I notice I don't feel as good eating them, so I will remove them for me. I make this for my little sister too and she really likes them. I tested the sauce with regular quinoa and it was okay, but I think lentils would taste better. To be fair the squash provides quite a bit of noddle too lol.

This is something I recently discovered after I brought home some spaghetti squash. No Sugar No preservatives No additives Optional 100% Whole Food All Organic Sauce: Mushrooms Red Pepper Green Pepper Onion X2 Tomato Paste (No added ANYTHING) Big thick slices of zucchini ! Toss these in with the squash, then cut and heat with sauce. Use these spices below. Try like 1/2 table spoon of each, then adjust to taste. Base: Spaghetti Squash Set oven to 400 degrees. Cut this in half and remove the seeds/guts. Let them go for about an hour depending on size. I would start prepping sauce at about 45 mins. Optional Noodles: Ingredients: White rice flour, quinoa flour, and lentil flour. You don't really need these. More of a treat item. Much superior option to regular noodles. I am going to experiment with regular lentils and quinoa with this soon. This will make it protein rich and really healthy. Final Product: @fridjonk @flume @Sahil Pandit Thought you guys might enjoy this. These spirals are optional too. The fresh stuff is better though.

This will work well. However, you need to work on applying it continuously. Try to find what emotion is underlying your desire to eat. Just the discovery of that could change your entire perspective of the eating. Does that emotion come from wanting approval, security, or control? If you can break it down that far it could help you release this desire and unwanted emotions. This will be a bit more for you to work on, but I assure you that this process is absolutely amazing as well. However, I would focus mostly on building the awareness around the habit. You could in the future be able to let go of the urge as well. I can assure you it is possible and it is amazing. Love and acceptance of yourself will get you a lot further than hard discipline. Discipline can take you only so far with things. It is a good quality to have in some respect, but it can go to far. A healthy balance of it is good. Not you bringing negative emotions on yourself if you don't nail down everything you think you should. Something to consider is if you are eating more unhealthy food it is actually causing you to be more hungry because it lacks nutrients. The healthier food you eat you will get more nutrients. If you can apply yourself to studying food you will find out a lot of things that actually taste amazing and are still healthy. I love making stuff like smoothies that are really filling and healthy. Also, if you feel a big part of the problem is that you are just not full, then try adding some high volume foods. An example of a high volume food would be water melon. It is really low in calories, but allows you to get full from eating it. I love eating a personal sized watermelon to myself and I am definitely not hungry for quite awhile after. The smoothie has a similar effect as well. Also, that spaghetti squash has a similar effect that I showed you as well. I highly recommend the book The 150 Healthiest Foods On Earth by Jonny Bowden. It isn't a heavy read and you can skip around and find awesome tasting and unique foods to add to your diet. This has been an awesome tool for me over the last few years for building a diet. Also, keep in mind that even 1% progress a day is still a lot. You don't have to eat the cleanest diet in the world or break out of an old pattern immediately. You want to make the change, so you can do it. You just have to apply yourself consistently and find the best tools to aid you.

Tried out the cotton clothes today. The boxers look too much like something you would wear in a hospital or something lol. I got the cheapest organic cotton ones I could find just to try it. I did actually notice I was not uncomfortable wearing pants like I typically would be. I would like to invest into some that look better, but it seems a bit viable for the moment. I have felt a bit itch again and I am not really sure why. I am wondering if I have been exposed to some sort of chemical or something recently that could cause it. It did seem like where was wearing the cotton clothing it was less effected. So it is possible I have an irritation to the stuff I clean my clothes with (I did not put that on these yet) or whatever material is in my regular clothes. I am not sure if these will make a big difference or not. I like the feel of the cotton though, so that is a plus for sure. I want to build up my reading habit again. I probably need to work into it slowly like I would working out though. I am changing up how I read now too. I am doing a physical book instead of the kindle with the tabs. I am going to work on redoing key sections and practices. I am thinking that I might actually read a bit faster with a physical book too. I would have to test that though. I found a place at the park I can sit while it rains, so I can actually still hang out there and read lol. There is a few spots I think that would work, so I am open to trying some more. The park is pretty big, so I am sure. I am breaking out of my resistance to the rain as well. I am spending a bit more time trying to contemplate. I notice it is not quite a skill that I have worked on enough. I find it easier to contemplate things like what I might want in life, but not so much with larger existential questions. I probably should read a book about it honestly. It is one skill that I want to invest more into for sure. I suppose I should rank out skills that I want in order like I am working on with habits. That would give me a bit more clarity of what to work on. Although, I like doing a bit of something at a time. I allow myself to effortlessly reach my listing goal of $50,000. Today, I am thankful for: Good weather for a bit Sedona method Feeling joy seeing the dreamboard
-
@Yarco Also, I am curious if you have any mold possibly in your room? It can be possible you are not seeing it as well. Could be some in the car or a place you are at often. I have seen a lot of stuff suggesting this can be an issue. Could try a nice hepa filter in the room you sleep. Do you work around any chemicals or anything like that? Work on replacing all of your chemicals in the house with the "think dirty" app if it works where you are. Or just try to go towards as much natural cleaners and products as you can. Also, I would recommend @Michael569 in this discussion.
-
I would recommend reading the sedona method and working through the practices. There is even a specific chapter in the book that should helo you with this. If you have established enough of a foundation around your health and a solid mediation practice first. It sounds like you have situated most of the food and stuff. If you are taking any sort of stimulants like caffeine you should consider cutting that out. I could not say exactly what I did to remove most of my anxiety. However, if you have a reoccurring theme around what you are anxious about you might be able to make some change there too. Of course maximizing your health can help, but it could even be a spiritual issue as well. I would recommend doing blood work and seeing if you have anything low as well. Also, if you can get to a point where you can phrase it like "remember when I had anxiety". The actual process of identifying with some sort of issue seems to cause it a good portion of the problem. You would want your partner to be aware of this too.
-
@levani I was able to use this technique to quite nicotine too. If you can try to get get some awareness around what you are feeling while you indulge. This emotion might be the root cause of what is driving you to do it. You could be able to combat it much easier that way too. I did this a bit ago because I had started gaming after about a year off. Once, I realized that I was suppressing sadness and not the fun I imagined I stopped playing. I won't never play again, but for now it is back on the back burner. I feel a lot better without it.
-
@Michael569 I have to travel an hour out of town to get the noddles, or the frozen organic stuff. I can get some of it locally, but it is outrageously expensive because I live in a rual area. However, I am very fortunate to have the options that I do. Costco here is absolutely amazing. The selection is not super massive in organic, but if I go to the right one I can get amazing deals on organic produce. I actually found the large organic squash there originally for cheap and that is how this dish started for me lol. @fridjonk Absolutely! It might be a good alternative to try to find a farmers market. I can never really decide if I should do a farmers market or get organic from the store. The farmers market is super cheap. It seems like the stuff is not just complete bs either. It seems to have a similar shelf life to organic too. In the winter now it isn't an option though for the farmers market.
-
@levani Thanks! I am happy to hear this helped you. It has worked great for me! I am going to do a few write up on some healthy meals too. I actually have a good one here so far: I am going to do a write up on a smoothie, dinner, and a breakfast soon. You might be able to use those a resource to construct a good diet. Of course you want to find your own things that work too.
-
@Mada_ Thanks! You don't need all of the spices either if you don't have them. Oregano and onion powder can both make a really nice taste to the sauce. Some pink Himalayan salt too. I will probably do a few write ups on some dishes I make. It took me quite awhile to figure out how to make great tasting stuff that doesn't really rely on most of the typical stuff people add.
