Last night, I had an inkling that I was dreaming, and decided to jump around and see if I could fly. This is a less common reality check for me, but whatever. I didn't exactly fly but while kicking my legs in the air I didn't immediately fall back to the ground. OK... Now I was pretty suspicious, so I went ahead with counting my fingers. Sure enough I had 6 fingers. I was dreaming! But it all felt so real. I truly thought I was awake. I counted again. 7 fingers now! But the strange thing was I couldn't remember life outside the dream. This has happened once or twice before. So I knew I was dreaming, yet was not lucid. I thought my dream self was dreaming, but had no memories of this life, such as in a typical lucid dream. I ended up just flying around and showing off my aerial acrobatics. But wow... That feeling of realizing it's a dream....

Ah I've got to try this in a lucid dream! Sounds like when you meditate yourself into a WILD, but backwards -

It's not without its advantages. But must be balanced and not let to rein wild. I also observe neurotic thoughts which sometimes can be great at problem solving, when it's not actually creating more problems... -

could you describe the feeling you had as a child, and are you sure you aren't incorrectly associating with your adult idea of depersonalization? -

Morality is a bitch lol. Trust me, I have come from nothing, to a childhood of ultra-moral protestant Christianity. From a family and missionaries, we believed every word of God and couldn't wait to join Him in heaven, after living a long healthy and moral life, of course. And after saving as many lost souls as possible. I left religion cold turkey when I turned 20, although it took a few more years to really stop believing in God, as the christian's view it. In fact I only recently started referring to "God" as it instead of he, because that's how deeply ingrained the personhood of God is for us. At least at this point I can say I have no idea what "God" is. But I've been on a path of self-discovery, and it turns out I'm pretty awesome, so I'm pretty content with that. Slowly, over time my morals have unraveled a bit. I still know what it takes to navigate this physical realm, and the cultural idea of morals is ABSOLUTELY necessary if you want to to be afforded any luxury of personal work. I don't have to believe in them to use them to my advantage. -
((Reading music, or you can listen to it before reading to settle the mind)) Embracing Paradox Chapter Five: 47-53 5:47 The tools presented in this book are not to force any type of conclusion upon the reader, the author just hopes we will use them to actively engage in questioning all aspects of experience. 5:48 Authentic is the first and last of the principles. It is both a major part of the questioning process and also the end result. It's what honesty, groundedness, openness and questioning leads to. 5:49-53 The four principles are necessary for an experience of real-being. But also, paradoxically, they are also necessary abilities to grasp or to use the principles of each one. In other words, I guess, they lead (fold back in)to themselves. We are now equipped with the only thing needed to go out and question everything about our experience, in search of an authentic experience.

@nitramadas be patient with us... Sure it's a freaking rainbow up in here with the 'levels', but I don't think you are respecting Leo's vision in bringing this info to blues and oranges, while also appealing to the whole blend of colors he's attracted. To do all of that must be a hell of a job and I'm not jealous whatsoever. But being mean to people that don't understand might shock their ego into clarity, but most likely pushes them away. This forum is a fairly balanced echo chamber, and I implore you to just settle in and enjoy learning or sharing, and not lash out too harshly when your expectations of what a highly conscious forum should be, are not met. -

@DreamScape the devils kick hard though ?... Thankfully the autocorrecting nature of society will iron them out -

@Leo Nordin finish as much schooling as it takes to easily get those part time jobs when you're hungry... And as much as it would take to easily take individual adult college classes on subjects of interest. Good for you to not want to be a slave of university education ? but education if also useful, so don't completely screw yourself over. -

If we don't start now, the government will never follow... Change starts at the bottom, or in other words from within. I can see myself forgetting that I'm Caucasian, but be able to ace a government document. Many other races right now may not have such an easy time because they aren't granted the luxury of forgetting, and for that I'm deeply sorry. I hope it gets better soon. I think that if we set an example, the ones in suffering will trickle in and bring it back to their camps. Age may be harder to forget, and as you said, we still rely on financial support to survive our most physically painful years... Does anyone know at what stage this change would come? Yellow? I'm not completely educated in the spiral lore... -

I think the answer to this would to not identify with an age at all. I've also toyed with the idea of not identifying with a race either. -
@Zigzag Idiot yes it's such a balance to strike! Perhaps it comes down to the symbols of the words, whereas conclusion is made in the cultural matrix and direct experience is like saying the same thing but non - matrixed. Of course any time we relay the direct experience it then gets communicated back through the cultural patterns of speaking.

Exercises: 1. Coming from a space of not knowing about questioning (free flow writing) : What is questioning? I question when I don't know. but do I really know what questioning is? Is it an act? Perhaps that's an advanced question but for now we will say that there is an act of questioning following the awareness of not knowing. And if I really want to know, then I have to ask good questions. That means perhaps that not all questioning is fruitful at all times. With less awareness, my questions would be dull or in a paradigm loop that only begs more answers. There must the a question that yields a true answer, or at least points an arrow. So what is questioning? It's applying intuitive wisdom to ask the right questions, coming from an awareness of not knowing. 2. I am aware of the cool air of the fan blowing on my skin. Where does the sensation begin and end? Well, where I feel it is on the far side of my skin, on the right side of the body. I say far side as if I'm currently inside the head. For now we will work from this paradigm. I feel the cool air on the outer layer of my skin, but am also experiencing it in thought, which feels to be inside the head. I am thinking about the sensation and also describing it, which is another way of experiencing it. The only way to not experience this anymore would be to move or turn the fan off, and forget about it. (although that's an assumption that anything can be truly forgotten, we also believe that memories are stored for later use in dreams) I don't feel the cool air on the inside of the skin. It definitely does seem to stop there on the outer side, and then the non-corporeal experience in thoughts about it, which feels to be in the head. Is it possible for an experience to take place in two locations? I think quantum physics points to yes, but in this case I think it's more of a projected bi-location, all in thought, thoughts of it and thoughts about it. But if a sensation can be projected to a location that feels to be in the outer portion of the body, who's to say the feeling of being in the head isn't also a projection? 3. I am holding the phone in my hand (to read the ebook) and the question is - - is the sensation of holding the book the same as touching it, or is it one that's merely interpreted as a book because of what I know to be a book? OK, my index finger is touching the back of the phone. It's smooth and hard, slides easily. Pictures of what the back looks like keeps popping up, but that's only giving me information like shiny and blue. The sensation of touch is not affected by this, and therefore separate from my concepts of phones. Now though, is the sensation of it the same as touching it? Well I make a conscious effort to place the finger on the phone, and typically where the finger stops I receive a sensation of what the phone appears to feel like. Now in one distinction, this feeling would be relative to the size of my finger, and if my finger were the size of the ant it may be a completely different sensation altogether. So I can only work from the paradigm of a human with a normal sized and unblemished finger. However, no I can't say that the sensation is the same as touching. For example, if my finger was numb, I could touch the phone and not even know it. The touch happens with no thought to process it. For whatever reason, the finger does not continue to go through the phone, even if I can't feel it.

@Mikael89 @Mikael89 well, unfortunately all verbal communication is assimilated through the matrix of cultural understanding. We intentionally (if not unintentionally) dumb ourselves down to talk about a real experience -

@Dazgwny it's OK not to know. Tell us what your current belief on the situation is-- like man 'splain it to me. Would knowing the answer do something cool like unlock a magic chest? Place you in some exclusive club? What would it mean to you to find this answer? Do you need to know all sides of the production to enjoy the show? -

@Osaid exactly... Willful (though often unconscious) ignorance

@RedLine in your nightly dreams, are you aware of every thing the dream characters are doing, are you aware of the story creation, and the boogy man about to jump out at you? No, but when you wake up you don't deny it all happened as one consciousness. -

Yeah I get it. I mean when I drive off the bridge, depth and distance become a very real experience but that which I really am never moves -

I don't know if this is answerable but a fun fan theory would be that you are 'remembering' across timelines, or that you are becoming conscious of creating the moment so much so that it feels like a memory -

Yep all divisions of time are made up mumbo jumbo. I see exactly what you are pointing at. The sun never sets, and days are an illusion of movement.
