  1. Another way of looking at this is that we don't determine what matters and then live accordingly -- the movements of the conscious mind are a feint. We live, and what we find to matter matters and what we find not to matter doesn't matter. We know this by what we feel. The conscious mind is the ultimate deceiver in matters of "what matters", we're well advised not to trust it.
  2. Just treat all of it provisionally, with nonattachment. It's just maps, not the territory. In other words, tomorrow it could all get scrapped. No sacred cows allowed.
  3. I would guess it bothers you because you would like to be more assertive and less of a pleaser.
  4. Enlightenment is not the acquisition of theoretical or domain knowledge, such as physics, mathematics or philosophy. Those are technical fields that usually require a lot of structured learning. It does not in itself increase "g", pattern-recognition/fluid intelligence (as @JosephBrecht correctly stated above.) If anything it is more like an increase in intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligences (if we stipulate such exist) -- although maybe not in all cases. In other words, the old admonition to "know thyself."
  5. It sounded an awful lot like "don't even think about these things at all, it's dangerous" or something. Well, you can recognize that you have a personality type without some pathological attachment to it. It's just reality. In fact, it may help you to understand your weaknesses and how to constructively deal with them.
  6. OK. I'll simplify it for you. If you're an INFJ, you have a strong Fe, which means you're more about what others are feeling, their values, and influencing others. INFJs tend to be the preacher-prophet types. They make good counselors. If you're an INFP, you have a strong Fi, so you're more in touch with your own feelings/values, and you're more attuned to healing others. INFPs make the best healers and writers. INFJ = The Counselor INFP = The Healer
  7. No, you don't. Yeah, being in shape helps with anything, I think. You sound to me like a good candidate for a Bwiti retreat because you seem to have the right mindset and attitude to benefit from the experience. Iboga is the ultimate "no bullshit" experience. It will tell you the blunt truth about YOU -- your life purpose and what you need to change to be physically, emotionally and spiritually well.
  8. Hate to break this to you, but even after enlightenment you have a personality type, it's just an integrated personality.
  9. I wouldn't say INTPs have any special advantage. Possibly intuitives have an edge over sensors, but even there I'm not sure. The way you tell which one you are is not by a test but by which functions dominate. INFJ is Ni dominant/Fe auxiliary INFP is Fi dominant/Ne auxiliary. Those are very different. You didn't suddenly become an Fi dominant when that function wasn't even in the top 4 your whole life, assuming you're an INFJ. Fi (introverted feeling) and Fe (extroverted feeling) are VERY different functions. Learn what they mean and you'll figure out your type.
  10. OK, I'll give you a brief version. First, you must understand the structure of the universe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal_cosmology https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-similarity Then, you must understand the connection between the physical and the archetypal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implicate_and_explicate_order (Written by a friend of Albert Einstein.) Then you have to connect the dots to see how it applies to astrology.
  11. It already exists. It's just esoteric knowledge. There's the pop astrology of the Sun sign/daily horoscope, then some people dabble in reading their Ascendent/Sun/Moon, then less people read all the other planets in houses, then even less people know aspects, etc. By the time you whittle it down, relatively few people can look at a chart and see everything. It's serious shit. You gotta have some basic math abilities and be able to research things and make conclusions about meanings on your own.
  12. It's not fluid at all. One can develop functions but not change type, which is predicated on a certain dominant-auxiliary-tertiary-inferior function order. A long time ago I was an INTJ with a poorly developed tertiary Fi, now I'm an INTJ with a much better developed Fi. Has there been "change"? Significant. Not change in type, though.
  13. Yeah, Russia's kind of a shithole, although some of its high culture has been exemplary (Tolstoy, Tchaikovsky, Pushkin, etc.) and they've produced some good chess and hockey players. I tend to think of it as a spiritual place, but spiritual more like a purgatory than heaven. Otherwise, yeah, remember that they were mostly serfs until 1861 and the Bolsheviks replaced the tsars (minus a hot minute with a provisional government.) There are some people who refuse to consider the problems with grafting one country's political system (or some universalist political philosophy) onto another with a different history, culture, geography, ethnic mix, etc. That's because taking all these factors into consideration complicates the picture immensely, and many people think there are easy answers to things. (Speaking as someone who spent childhood there.)
  14. Leo, for someone like yourself this is awfully reductive materialist thinking. Wouldn't years of spiritual practice alter the neurochemistry?
  15. Hypothetically, yes; but if the beliefs I mentioned above are there (that "this one weird trick" is what's going to do it for me) that will block it.
  16. No, psychedelics can't help you become fully enlightened - perhaps partially in some cases (and in many cases not at all.) They are wonderful at breaking through blocks, though. The entire concept betrays a lack of understanding of surrender. Thinking that some means or method will enlighten you is entirely a conceit of the ego. The conscious mind doesn't even understand its permanent, irrevocable annihilation. Whatever temporary experience you get is simply not the same. It takes quite a long time for most people to relax into being in a way that clears up any confusion about The Self. As I've said before, the person's own willingness to surrender, which in essence means willingness to die as the "old self" despite the massive dread and fear such an experience entails is absolutely essential. Psychedelics don't take care of that for you because unconsciously the ego knows it's "coming back" -- it's not threatened to the fullest. People who don't realize the demands, the price to pay for enlightenment get right up to the ledge and refuse to jump. The fear is too much. They retreat to ego illusions that "this one weird trick" will get it done for them, and get hostile to suggestions that it's not. But it's not the weird trick. It's not the "most efficient method." People have gotten enlightened through many different methods. The common denominator is the willingness to get to the ledge AND jump.
  17. In order to have wealth to redistribute, you must first have wealth creation. So you need Orange. You can't regulate and tax the shit out of enterprising Orange types to "take care of everyone" because you're killing incentives for growth. Now, the other issue is that you will have Orange types driving down the cost of labor through immigration, offshoring, temporary visas, etc. Unfortunately Green is too feely to understand economics and immigration is good to them for sentimental reasons. So the problem with Orange is in concert with the problem with Green. The best you can do for people right now is to tighten labor markets so that more people get good paying jobs. Also, you need good schools so people are educated to take those jobs. This isn't always a resources problem - sometimes it's a systemic problem. If a system doesn't produce results while more and more money is pumped into it, it must be reformed or a better alternative offered.
  18. RASA isn't about information, but transmission from giver to recepient. You can get information in the "1000" e-book for ten bucks.
  19. Yeah, can you please ask. It's not an arbitrary number - an arbitrary number means that there is no difference between 257 and 850. There may be some minor margin of error, but it's not an arbitrary number and I don't understand what has led you to conclude that it is.
  20. To track progress and verify experience. That's really strange though that you've never asked. Who is your giver?
  21. How is that possible that you've done it 20 times and have no clue what your LOC is? Are you doing it strictly off videos or group sessions?
  22. How many times did you have it and what LOC did you top out at?
  23. What do you base this opinion of RASA on?
