  1. how dreams can help us uncover more about ourselves.
  2. I just recently turned 22 & realized if I want to be more confident then I have to start acting that way now.. I realized all of who I am today is because of how I thought I am. You’re not gonna be that person in the future you think you are.. unless you start being that person you want to be NOW. The idea that you will achieve whatever it is you want to achieve in the future is bullshit. You literally have to act upon it right NOW.
  3. @i am I AM "speak with one voice to everyone"..that is powerful. That really says a lot in that one line.
  4. @Charlotte Yes man, agreed!
  5. @Igor82 I'm just saying that you should write your insights down because you will forget them. This can be anything that piqued your interest. Most of my insights pertain to myself, the more you can understand who you are, the closer you will become to achieving ego death.
  6. @Igor82 Because you want to review them. You will forget a lot of it.
  7. @Igor82 I do cold showers as well. I have been doing it for more than half a year? Nonstop everyday Ive had moments of ego death, but I don’t know if it was actual ego death, or just twinges of enlightenment. Cold showers could have helped, but the main factor is meditation. Daily meditation is the key and writing down your insights whenever you get them.
  8. ? Uh, go up 5 minutes, that's what I do..
  9. @Adam M Yes that's true & I was seeing a therapist in the past.
  10. I hate people, I hate myself. I hate existence, I hate everything. I need help, nothing will shake this feeling off. I've been stuck in this state for over a decade now. I've tried just about everything, really starting to not care anymore.
  11. @Viking There's too many things that might have caused it. & yes you're right.
  12. @Gabriel Antonio I've done therapy before and it did help me
  13. ALSO, I want to genuinely thank everyone for commenting on this post, even if I thought the advice was useless!
  14. @Shin That's almost impossible to find, I've been to therapists and several doctors all my life, they only made the problem WORSE. If I found out about this forum long ago, I would have been way better off.
  15. @Outer Holy crap man...thank you so much for taking the time to post this. I feel like you just extracted every question that was on my mind and answered it. That information was so agreeable and I was genuinely jaw dropped just reading it by how much it made sense to me. I am seriously blessed by this post, only one question..how would I go about "finding someone to work with who knows non duality/advaita to put this experience in context?"
  16. @Gabriel Antonio LOL that's the dumbest shit I've ever read in my entire life. You want to rely on pills the rest of your life to solve your problems? Go right ahead my friend!
  17. @TylerJ I will try this for my meditation session tonight, thanks.
  18. @lmfao I've been dabbling in spiritual work for years but not seriously (watching videos of alan watts, inspiring philosophy videos, etc) July 11th 2018 is when I decided to take spiritual work seriously. Since then I've been meditating daily non stop and journal my insights whenever I get them. I've accomplished a lot in my life, but nothing seems to get rid of this negative ego I've attached to myself. Although I guess I just have not done spiritual work long enough to say. This post was more of a compulsive desire for validation of hope, that there is hope in the years to come. You're post made me realize that there is hope and that I need to remind myself how far I've come from the past, thanks for that.
  19. @Jack River Okay you can intellectually understand something, but the problem is too persistent to get rid of. I've dealt with this for too many years for one insight to change anything. Should I just accept this as a part of life and move on?
  20. @Jack River @Hello from Russia @Shin Well how about when it keeps coming back for years & years? I'll have moments of letting go, but it only lasts for so long. Like a few minutes then it comes back. It's an endless cycle. There is temporary relief by letting go, but nothing is really solved. My default at this point is dark energy and nihilism, it just keeps coming back. Should I stop trying to fix this, and let go aka let the dark knight of the soul embody me?
  21. @Shin Thanks my dude. Actually helpful.
  22. @Hello from Russia Yea...good point.
  23. thanks, that actually made a lot of sense when I read it just now.
