  1. I have misophonia as well. It flipped me out that you mentioned since it's not a common diagnosis. Do you know about Tom Dozier? He's a major studier of the disorder. He's got a home office in the San Francisco area. I'd recommend Googling his address and giving him a visit if you can. He can offer some great advice and tips for coping. I personally got some printable paperwork I could show to my University Disabilities Office so I could get a special private testing room (I had major issues with taking quizzes and tests because of distracting trigger noises.) Anyways, I think physiological disorders are a grey area that Spiral Dynamics may not account for well. Misophonia is something, at least that we know of right now, that can't be cured. Agitation levels can be mitigated to a degree with medication. I take Tramadol, and it helps deal with triggers a good amount. I'd recommend telling your physician about it and trying it out for yourself. Just don't take more than 2 at a time; it can cause seizures if taken recklessly. There's a small crash as well, though not as much as something like Adderall (which I've taken before). Think of your situation like trying to label an enlightened master that just so happens to be schizophrenic or bipolar. Does that illness lower their stage? I don't think so necessarily. It can make them ACT in lower stages when their illness kicks in and they don't properly medicate. The choice to not medicate would more likely fall on the dynamics scale. If they have the understandings of tier-two stages, I'd think they're still tier-two. Like Leo said, tier-two doesn't make you scott-free of problems. Einstein couldn't tie his own fucking shoes. EINSTEIN. The illness is an obstacle, perhaps a necessary one if look at it that way. Misophonia has sucked for me in social situations but also has allowed me to focus on solitary activities, like my musical composition career and meditation. I have few qualms about being alone for days at a time. It's a reframing of a normally "negative" situation that may help you. ALSO, do you have high relative or absolute pitch? I have absolute pitch and think it and misophonia are correlated since they're both sound-related.
  2. Rare footage a mystical pioneer exploring the realms of space for himself, beyond the dogmas of science. He's open with his feelings about his mother, breaking typical Western stereotypes of masculinity. He moves freely and fluidly, without fear. Hell, he's so enlightened he doesn't need oxygen. Dr. Steve Brule is a true master.
  3. Butch Hartman, creator of the famous animated shows Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom, seems like the typical conservative Middle America Blue/Orange mix. There's possibly Orange-type corruption going on with his Kickstarter; note I say "possibly". The YouTuber criticizing Butch, Crit1kal, is definitely Orange/Green, leaning more towards Green in his level of care for others; he has always donated all of the money he's gotten from ad revenue and has a strong Green-type morality that he expresses on his channel. This particular rant, though, seems more Orange: "Kids aren't robots. They have different tastes...Now, whether or not the kid should've seen the Exorcist falls on the parent...Kids are humans, not machines..." More subjectivity allowed than Butch's viewpoint.
  4. So many young people on here, even younger than me! It's great to see~ 20, will be 21 in a couple months
  5. If you ever forget what your goals are, I made a short mp3 with Leo's top priorities all listed off. Play this all time: when eat, when you sleep, when you're having sex, when you're taking a crap, when you're meditating. Play it EVERYWHERE! Remember your goals! Stay inspired! Don't let your dreams. BE. DREAMS. DO IT Actualized.org in a Nutshell.mp3
  6. Didn't know that. Cool, I'll check into that! Thanks~
  7. @Leo Gura Hey, this isn't a question, but a gift for you from me. I've been a huge fan of your YouTube channel for over a year now. I've seen some kickass changes in my mindset on reality, as well as more visible results. You don't have to do anything with it, but I did a remix of the short jingle for your channel. I've heard the jingle so many damn times that I figured I'd honor it in the best way I know how. You can share it with the original composer too, of course. No money is being made off of this or anything. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4f2ymrbzzlu925c/Actualized.org%20theme%20remix.mp3?dl=0
  8. Okay cool, thanks for telling me @Zane
  9. I've decided that I'm going to be make Easy-to-Read Transcripts for nearly every one of Leo's videos. It'll be a long and arduous process, but it'll ultimately be so his information sinks in even more into my subconscious mind. I believe this was one of the videos I watched of Leo's, so I started with "Optimism". It's nice and light compared to his more heavy recent videos, yet still very effective. Please tell if there's already someone doing this, especially if Leo's already doing it. I'll take the notes for myself either way, though. Optimism.pdf
  10. Leo's birthday shall become a international holiday upon we shall do our usually bullshit chimpery. Let's all watch Game of Thrones while eating McDonald's and talking about the stock market!
  11. Put this up on the wall in your bedroom or whatever to remind you of what you are. This is WHAT YOU ARE. If you don't act it right now, then you WILL as long as you remind yourself everyday. You're naturally start moving in that direction. It's just like Pulp Fiction, baby~ Love ya'll words of wisdom.pdf
  12. Hard to top that list, brother. By the time I die, I want to be able to understand all music. If I'm in a jazz club, I want to be able to follow along with the musicians in my head and on an instrument without any sheet music. I have perfect pitch, so I'm half-way there! It's a LOT of work, though, figuring out so many tracks. I essentially want to be Nick Oleksiak: King of Music. I also wouldn't mind own a private place along the shoreline somewhere, anywhere really. I love water. In reference to one of your points, I've actually snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef before. It was amazing to say the least. I'd love to go back someday. You better get there before it's gone!
  13. Remember that you have to replace a negative habit with a good one. If you're good at something creative, do that instead. For an example: I write and produce music. I often go to places online like Spotify and Soundcloud and dissect new tracks for fun. I just find a random track, decide what I like and dislike about it, and write down the stuff I like in a notebook or my Notes app. I do this a lot, and I get better every year because of it! If you just wanna relax, lie in bed with the lights out. It'll charge you right up. ALSO: If you slip up, don't be an asshole to yourself. Imagine yourself like a little kid. You wouldn't scold a little kid by degrading them, right? (hopefully not) Tell yourself that you have a lot of time to improve, so taking this single action in the moment will move me towards general improvement.
  14. Arting is the practice of champions. Believe it~
  15. Beautifully worded~ I figure you won't mind, but out of the curtesy of tell you, I'm saving this somewhere on my desktop for future reference. Thanks for the wise words.
