I have been a paramedic for 25 years. Death and dying is a big part of the profession. From what I have seen, when people die, from the outside, they seem to simply "turn off." When we revive those same people, and they return to a wakeful state, they seem to have no recollection of anything that happened on the other side. Even the ones who narrowly avoided death haven't related anything. I believe everything Dr. Eben Alexander said but I can't say that I have seen anything like that for myself.
