Reading thanatos13's comments wasn't a wise decision. It made me disconnected from actualized.org and damaged my psychology. My fault though. So I'll try to reconnect with time. -

In Leo's latest video, I'm not buying that the sponge is infinite tbh. I also still don't agree with non-duality. But that's just me. Are you guys certain that those things are true? -
The objective meaning of life... drum roll please... REPRODUCTION. It is commonly believed that there is no objective meaning to life and you can do whatever you want with it. However, only the latter is true. There is one objective meaning but you can still live how you would like for the most part. You'll still have a very strong desire to reproduce. One may argue: how about gay people? The majority of people aren't gay and gay people still have a desire to adopt/raise a child. Being gay isn't a mental problem, it literally just boils down to preference. You can also be sure that reproduction is the objective meaning since all organisms do it. Not matter how different they are from each other. You can still live your life however you want though so this isn't a negative objective. You can save peoples lives throughout your life or worship and dance around a single rock for 8 hours a day. It's up to you. The down side to this is that a lot of people watch porn. This destroys your reward system and it's depressing how it's so commonly encouraged in society. The only time when I would advice watching it is if you're an adult and you have a boy/girl friend and you need to know how to have sex properly. But after you have a general understanding you shouldn't watch it at all. I don't have any advice for you on how to quit your porn addiction since I am ignorant to that subject. Probably watch a youtube video on it.

Yeah dude, definitely. I completely agree. x D.... what are you talking about? -
According to science, the universe is around 13.8 billions years old. A human beings life time lasts around 70 years on average. The odds of you being born in general are already close to impossible. The earth would have to be capable to sustain life, your parents would have to meet at a particular location, at a particular time and reproduce you. That's only to scratch the surface. And you only have about 70 years to live so your life is super short compared to how old the universe is. Yet you are CURRENTLY alive. Maybe read this one more time so you can get what I'm saying. None of this adds up. My best guess is that you have ALWAYS been alive. That would make more sense. Especially since right now I am only 16 years old. So basically out of 13.8 billion years I am currently 16 years old and I'm alive right now. That makes no sense at all. What are your thoughts?

@lmfao I love the way you talk like a human lol. Consciousness and the universe are very complex topics. I am very interested to learn more about them. I haven't watched Leo's "what is consciousness" vid yet so I'll get to it. -

Type in Miyama Uguisu on google. It's one of the first anime characters that will pop up. I use him for 90% of my profile pictures since he looks cool and he represents my gender. You make another good point below. -

You have a point tbh lol -

So all of those germs that I kill whenever I shower, I am them? -

Also, it is very possible that the universe is much older than 13.8 billion. Maybe it's always been around. But that's just a guess. -

Not true, but if it was then I can easily say the same for you. -

This is off topic but adults are abnormally developed lol. It just amazes me. Whereas I am currently a teenager and I can just see how undeveloped I am. Not being dramatic. This is literally the case. One thing that I'm glad for is my video game addiction. It made me realize that I am not developed enough yet to quit ANY addiction. This has helped me stay away from things such as Instagram, porn, unhealthy youtube vids, etc. Since I know for a fact that once I get hooked to ANY of the things I mentioned then I won't be able to quit it at all. Over the past 2 years I've been trying to quit playing video games with absolutely no success at all. Adults can also just do so much work and handle so much stress. It's insane. -

I wish I was smart like some of the people on this forum. -

It's still reproduction, isn't it bub? xD, I'm joking. I see your point now and I agree that there is no objective meaning to life. -
Roman25 replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There are two ways to look at this. Either I'm completely wrong about reproduction being the objective meaning to life or it could be a more generous objective meaning. That you don't have to want to have kids since mostly everyone around you does. Or perhaps it's not humans reproducing "kids". I think I am in the wrong though from thinking about your comment though. xD. It was worded so well. -

I think we have two different definitions for the word "meaning". Language is a tool to aid the imagination so in order to understand someone else's words you would need to see what they see in their mind. Which is not currently possible. That is one of the most potent limits of language. When I say objective meaning I mean why something exists in general or why something is the way it is. Like if an apple falls from a tree then the meaning of why that happened was gravity and mass. When I say subjective meaning then I mean seeing others as attractive or thinking that you are tall. -

Ah, so you're preparing yourself with defense mechanisms to deal with a potential threat that may come later on in your life. That's a wise metaphor. -

I'm glad to hear all of your views on this topic. Thanks for taking the time to play your role in testing ideas to determine which ones are closer to truth. -
Roman25 replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
But then that's subjective meaning since you can change any meaning that you give to your own life at any moment. None of what I'm writing on this forum is meaningless. It's subjective meaning since I personally assign that meaning. Yah, in my starting comment I say that life has objective meaning (reproduction) but you can still do whatever else you want in it. But it will usually end up in reproduction since that's what most humans do. Along with other animals, stars, planets, fire, and everything else in the universe. Everything reproduces. When we play sports I call that subjective meaning since that is your idea of what you want to do in your life. -
Roman25 replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Getting out of the monkey mind completely is not a possible task since you have thoughts while you're alive. If you mean to calm it down then I'll take your suggestion. Thanks for the tip. No clue of who that is but I will probably research it. It is true reality doesn't say "the meaning of why I created life is blah blah" but let me give you an example of something. Imagine fire burning a paper. It turns the paper to ash. The fire doesn't say "the meaning of why I burned this paper was to turn it to ash". But it burned the paper since the fire was hot. So the fire doesn't think of it's creation of having meaning but the meaning of why the paper was burned was due to the fact that the fire was hot. Therefore the ash did in fact have a meaning of why it exists, just not a mind that says so. If that makes sense, it's hard to word properly. Even when two organisms mate they are not really creating a child themselves. A lot of non-living things are performing functions to make it. The cum, the egg, a place for the baby to be stored, and so on. I personally don't believe that anything is alive in the way we think it is but that's a different topic. -
Roman25 replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The universe is a mechanism that creates and destroys. Not saying that is a bad thing but that's what it does. Everything you have ever seen has been created but it will also be completely gone one day. So reproduction is necessary since, in order for something to go on forever, it must be created over and over again. Non-living things created life from the start in my opinion. And they created it in a way to fight against this universal rule of creation and destruction. Just like how fire burns a paper to ash it is very possible for the non-living to create the "living". So if life exists then it's objective meaning MUST be to reproduce since it will just die if it doesn't. Edit" (just to add something) Everything the universe creates gets created over and over again. Stars, planets, life, etc. The universe creates nothing that can't be created over and over again because then it would have no reason to create it in the first place. Perhaps the universe is even alive but I highly doubt that. -

Adults are certainly more developed than teenagers in every area but this doesn't play a factor in one's ability to determine the topic of whether life has meaning or not. I post here and there to topics only I feel I can grasp. It can sometimes backfire against an adult to be super developed if they had bad habits when they were younger. Which is why porn is a big problem and should be banned imo.
