@MM1988 this is an awsome thread dude. Do you realize how deep this thread should go? Let’s see if this thread gets the kind of attention it deserves. ? -

Or the illusion of freewill is the breeding ground for compulsive thinking. Those thoughts that arise automatically are still a reaction and response of memory. All thought that arises is of the known. A reaction that causes another reaction. When that illusion of control/desire/will stops you will be amazed how thoughts psychologically just stop altogether. It’s totally excellent dudes. -

The sooner we see holistically the nature of effort the sooner we stop moving in that direction. The more this becomes understood in consciousness the sooner consciousness leaves behind all falsity they time can dissolve time. Then maybe soon or a later consciousness will naturally inherently be choiceless psychologically. Our action or non action paves the way for consciousness later. Consciousness is always changing or in our case not changing. Unless we stop the falsity of psychological evolution today tomorrow will be the same. -

So it’s not needed. What is needed is seeing the how effort leads to conflict/fear. Right? Just because we made the mistake of getting caught in the effort trap doesn’t mean that it is necessary to have to go through that. So I will never say effort is necessary to see that effort is not necessary. If we start with understanding ourselves without heading in a certain direction then we come to the understanding the effort is the ego naturally. And we are not caught in the trap of trying to stop time by means of time. You see what I mean dude? -

Plus only effortless/choiceless awareness can observe all day without break. It takes an energy that is doesn’t get lost in the process of contradicting desire/motive. -

Effortlessness/choicelessness doesn’t seem to direct attention in a specific area. It observes or is aware/attentive of all inner and outer. There is no particular direction or occupied and fixed motive. It’s pretty gnarly dude? -

Only thought directs attention to the breath and body. Thought seems to direct attention/awareness to certain areas. That is self/thought concentrating on certain parts. That’s how it works. That is also conflict sustaining. Effort=conflict and conflict keeps the ego/self moving. Ultimately fear resisting what is. To me effort never leads to the ending of time/self. Maybe we see eventually that effort is not the way and drop that, but as far as using fear to end fear, that is a no go. Note...effort=force=concentrated attention/awareness=fear=conflict=self=time. -

From what I saw The energy is effort is very limited. When this effort was dropped energy was huge. Then it all came about on its own -

@GeoLura what is this effort? Isnt effort a product or expression of this “freewill”? -

Effort and the ego are the same. -

Explore into nature of thought itself and not particular systems or philosophy’s. -

Is there a such thing as psychological evolution? Aren’t we the same as we were back in the days of old? -

Which is why I posted my questions. Pointing at how rationality isn’t rational. And why thought isn’t actually rational. -

That’s just the thing brah. It’s not a thing “you” contemplate. Intelligence isn’t somthing you come to. Intelligence or truth can work within the field of reality. Intelligence can also make thought run rational. Intelligence is truly rational. Intelligence is not the product of thought. Intelligence is not “ours”. When the me isn’t there is intelligence. Intelligence is holistic seeing. That holistic seeing is truth that comprehends the totality of reality/thought/time. Pretty groovy my man. ? -
Jack River replied to Recursoinominado's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Says thought/reality. Reality being ‘res’ is thought thinking about a “thing”. So the above quote is still a product of thought. Lol ..the self and the practice, the process, are the same. To project an end is to project a “thing” which is inherently fixed dude. Freedom or liberation is not something fixed and time is not a means. @Recursoinominado to grasp the nature of thought/self/reality/ and that limitation comes your answers brah. -

A dependence on “things” to end the problem that “things” has invented seems kinda like trying to put out fire with fire. Namean? -

Doesnt matter what I am saying man. It comes in a flash of insight and that insight sees into the entire structure of self/thought/time. I just meant to give somthing to look into. Maybe I am wrong or maybe not. You will have to explore that yourself. To me it is really obvious now. I use to up to a few months ago smoke the finest ganja. But after this holistic insight all of that came to an end within the second of that insight. One thing I can say though..if your going to blaze it, don’t make it a means to an end. Just chill? -

What makes us irrational? -
Jack River replied to Forestluv's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
We’re still unable to be rational. To say we as consciousness have even came to a point of rational thinking would be silly. Right dudes? -
Jack River replied to Forestluv's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
trans-rational meaning seeing the limitation of thought? Seeing that thought can only go so far. Seeing what limits an ability to be rational. Is that what is meant by trasnsending rationality? Because there is a limit in thought and understanding the limit itself means that thought becomes a lot more rational. I think this would be a first step to consciousness being more united. -

No tools invented by thought will heal the psychological “me”. The tools are a product of the mechanism that causes emotional/psychological issues. Any time based movement seems to just agitate emotional/psychological reaction. -
Jack River replied to SoonHei's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
When this time loop comes to a stop the unoccupied mind is free to explore. Free will is a contradicting idea invented by thought. When will, desire, fear, time stops then freedom is all that is left dudes. All previous notions invented by thought...throw them away. Start with nothing, because if time ends that’s all that’s left anyhow -
Jack River replied to SoonHei's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Psychological time is the key here. Which means all day everyday watching fear in movement which will arise as desire for pleasure, escaping what is actually happening to you by ignoring, controlling, rationalizing, and looking to thought to self soothe the psyche. -
Jack River replied to SoonHei's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
All of the above are assumption based unless time ends. Time as in desire, effort, fear or psychological time/psychological becoming. In that there is silence. I would totally disregard everything you have heard about what you assume. Start with.. can time end? when you pre-assume things to be attained that is projecting your own self invented image. Start with a blank slate brah.
