An unawareness to the thought/emotion connection/relationship is really what limits thinking/being and prevents the chance of non-being. Thought will react to emotion without being aware of that and vice versa. It seems really difficult to be aware of this. One reason is thought avoids insecurity that arises because of that relationship and because it’s simply difficult to attend to the process. You can test this by bringing up the memory of a word that made you angry. That word and the meaning/concept interpreted will bring about the emotion/feeling. Ofcourse it has to be a genuine discomfort in that memory/word. -

I don’t see any part as upper or lower as that seems like measure established by thought itself. Fosho. The awareness talked about here is simply seeing the whole process/movement itself. -

In this intelligent action thought/intellect doesn’t seem to respond compulsively but only when needed to function. I think because of the of intellect/emotional harmony. This I noticed can allow times of pure being/nonbeing. -
Jack River replied to Manjushri's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Intelligence is like a harmony between the intellect and emotions. The awareness im referring to obseves the whole process of emotion/thought as one unit in movement, which brings about order/harmony in thinking. To make what is extremely fragmented or limited, more whole. -

No reasoning, just laying itnor how its observed. Im just speaking of awareness that is not identified with thought/intellect thefore it seems to see the whole movement of itself. -

I can see that the mind is at the Center of all observing, although the conditioned response of the intellect (time) seems to tend to see/witness only what it knows (interprets) from memory/content, and doesn't see what it doesn’t know/recollect or recognize., but instead sees/observes it’s own psychological movement in motion(time-becoming). A movement towards what should be/ away from what is, both being influenced or a reaction the past(time). This seems to be a pursuit that has its root in thought(the past “personal experience/knowledge as the me” But in this watching/AWARENESS, it’s like a type of watching without the old(knowledge-experience) influencing the integrity of the watching. This is why watching “movement as a whole is really an approach of awareness that makes what is very complex (the intellect) quite more simple/applicable to attend too. In this we are not seeing with the intellect, which implies the veil of self and it’s content(personal knowledge/experience. Otherwise I would then be caught up in the word and be caught in the thought/emotion cycle of resistance/identification as a result. When there is watching of movement the word has no significance in of itself. But it’s a watching that is aware of the responses to inward movement of emotion reactions, the bodily/feeling/reactions, and all that in relation to then word(intellect/thoughts). Watching the movement seems to include the whole of experience and not just a fragment of it(its meaning). I notice when I look through the fragment(intellect/self) I tend to exclude other parts, which leads to a fragmented observation. A watching that has seperated itself as the watcher(ego/self). This is the best I can explain it so far. -

Cool ? I don’t personally refer to intelligent action as that influenced by will/desire/effort. These to me are the things of self/ego. Awareness that observes choicelessly is a more efficient means of power as an organism, or as a whole to me. The self/ego seems to add to the many weaknesses of the organism itself. -

Seems the idea of being a slave to nature is the result of a reactionary point of view. A perspective that is influenced by its shadow. -

In the seeing of the movement ends the movement. Time ends when time is seen holistically and there is not reaction. It’s pretty groovy dude. Seems Will is a defense or response to environmental obstacles. I wouldn’t say “we” are slaves to nature, but that we are nature. And it seems we are always In process of change. Life doesn’t seem static to me, you? The good fight is all good when it comes to intelligent action (defending the organism) but when it comes to defending an illusory notion, that’s where the line is drawn for me doggy -

It can be seen that the controller always acts in regards to its past which projects its psychological desires in the future. This seems to always push satisfaction/happiness away in a future moment. Actually what he speaks about often. To end Psychological time and live in the now. -
Jack River replied to SriBhagwanYogi's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Oh, but is that movement into the psychological realm what causes the very disorder/conflict? Thats the thing. Thought great as a function, but looked to for a sense of wholeness, that’s where shit gets ugly dude -
Jack River replied to SriBhagwanYogi's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It seems he controlled unti he saw that controlling was what caused further suffering. An intellectual/conceptual grasping is still within the field of the controller. Or, to understand intellectually/conceptually depends on the entity(controller with its accumulated knowledge-experience, memory (content/interpretation) as the thinker. I think for him as he has described he suffered due to resistance/attachment/identification which escapes suffering. One day he said he simply stopped that. A stop of psychological becoming or not becoming. This experience seems similar to mine that I had recently. Although I am always changing so that experience is dead. If anything I have been “enlightened”. But every “now” I am nothing. -

The game obviously seemed to have a downside. A what comes up must come down effect. This even though I continued years after I saw its reality, i saw as a game that was kinda stupid or dangerous. I just could never see it holistically till recently. -

I didnt like this game lol, although I did seek satisfaction in experiences. I always resisted trianing, although I did get caught in pleasure seeking. Looking for that big wave, gnarly skating trick, sexy girl. ? -

We are always wanting to become something from childhood and up. This seems to be the barrier-preventing factor. -

Fosho. Seems to be common as the psychological mind. -

No I’m just curious about other methods. To understand there processes. I feel I have come to SEE/understand what-is without either of those methods. I am just interested in the different ways. Pretty groovy stuff. I feel it’s easy to understand how they work already being with moments of nonbeing. -

Fosho. To look at the movement of thought in relation to emotion. I agree. Fosho. I find that the application of a way kinda assumes ‘a believing’ that it will deliver the goods. I find this is seen when we understand our own tendencies by investigating fear/desire/psychological becoming in ourselves. It starts out as the self/intellect but soon we see that that is the case. Self movement. Fosho dude. With the trophy in mind destroys the entire inquiry. -
Jack River replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@seeking_brilliance @Preetom The problem seems to be that the very intent to sit down and inquire is a reward based intention. So because of that the self inquiry has implicitly introduced the intellect into the equation. Might help to understand the self/thought and its tendencies/patterns/psychological time and such to transcend this barrier. More atleast be able to track psychological movement as it arises. -
Jack River replied to Manjushri's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Oh. Gotcha I find that the self will both at times identify with “its experiences” and dis-identify with its experiences. The self will choose according to its psychological preference. This seems to be a pattern of the self/thought divison. I can see there being this identifying and disidentification(movement of self) corrupting the enquiries integrity. I wonder how this “movement of self/positive/negative choosing/identification” is transcended using that method. Any thoughts?
