Or perhaps they are done by people who are also passionate about the subject matter and want to share love and wisdom with their audience? Dont miss out if Joe Rogan invites you, even if he is an insufferable idiot, you being listened will only push the world forward. -

This is why its important to have different spiritual teachers, Frank reaches to me in places Leo cant (and vice-versa), the same goes for Ralston and the rest of the gang. -

Imagine you create a character in an RPG game, every choice the character makes is your choice, the playable character is just unaware of it by design. Its kinda like that. -

If thats your main drive then all then all the more power for you. If someone tells you otherwise, then thats THEIR path, not yours. -

Like Frank Yang says, awakening and being smart are independent things, you can become conscious of the nature of reality while still being a trump supporter. No doubt Connor has had a profound experience, as his best friend says in his video it doesn't seem to be an act. If guys like Jake or Logal Paul awakened right now, no doubt they would be acting very similar to Connor here. Which begs the question.. is the pursuit of truth more important than the pursuit of wisdom? -

Funny because Leo actually asked him a similar question when he interviewed him, to which Ralston replied something like "there cant be a higher order because there cant be any more infinite than infinite" -

Well that kinda happens everyday when we go to sleep. Each day we are born and die. And if you say "but we never really lose consciousness", the same can be said about biological life and death. -

He lost his grip on this reality, I hope he is doing it for the views and the attention because if he is ACTUALLY being real then Jesus this is something that needs serious professional help. -
He has said this several times, as do other teachers I know of. I think we can all agree that psychadelics point you into the right direction, but you still gotta walk there with meditation and self-inquiry. Otherwise you will mistake the psychedelic state for enlightenment which is a common trap.

Many nondual teachers say this, but I do not understand it. I don't feel like I am putting resistance here, I used to believe in free-will but Leo convinced otherwise in one video, I cant argue with solid logic, so yeah I am pretty much open to have my conceptions challenged and destroyed. But from my perspective Perceiver never existed sounds... ummm... stupid. I totally accept that I am imagined, and that everything I perceive is imaginary, a fiction, this flows well with my current spiritual growth. But "I dont exist" just rings nothing inside me but cringe. Fiction is "something" afterall, its a difference, a manifestation, therefor I am "something", even if I am not material. Unless this is just a play in semantics... if the only real thing is that which is unchangeable => nothingness. Then yes, I agree with this, but then I would not agree to relate unchangeable with realness. Isn't the point of nonduality that both nothingness and everythingness =true?

Wow thank you!, this made a lot of sense to me. So there is no perceiver, but there IS perceiving. -

Like I said in my post, I have no problems identifying myself as fictional and imaginary. I also use videogame examples like yours when I explain some stuff to people. But to me, fiction is something, therefor it exists, even if its not "material". Ideas are as much a manifestation like you and I. I just think the phrase is very silly... it puzzles me when I read/hear it in an otherwise profound video or lecture. -

The first television was invented only 94 years ago, look where we are now. -
So there is the dream state (the illusory world we all experience right now) and there is the REAL reality, god, or truth, which is hidden from our senses. Being awakened means you are directly conscious of that REAL reality, as far as some teachers suggest. If so, can you be 100% certain, than at the moment you die, that REAL reality will continue exactly as you are directly conscious of right now? In other words, are you experiencing death simultaneously with the dream?

I dont think there will be a "you" to look for another life to be conscious of. If a videogame character dies, the game keeps going, if the game closes the computer keeps running, so on and so forth... and we are biological programs afterall. -
Mafortu replied to Mafortu's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Don't be that guy in the gym that finds it "funny" when he sees a fat guy at the walk machine. The truth being "hidden" is a popular interpretation by many teachers. If its obvious to you, congrats. -

Sorry I forgot the word "if" there, just edited the post, it should make more sense now. -

I just repeated in slightly different words what every non-dual teacher tells us, not sure why you laughed at this. There is the awakened state and the dream state, unless you are new to these concepts this shouldn't surprise you. -
Mafortu replied to Mafortu's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I am aware of this, I am asking for those that are directly conscious of nonduality if they perceive themselves as both dead and alive at the same time. (formlessness, and formed)
