  1. The Cattle 6:25 Of them there are some who (pretend to) listen to you; but We have thrown veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; if they saw every one of the Signs, they will not believe in them; in so much that when they come to you, they (but) dispute with you; the Unbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the ancients." Translation by 'Abdullah Yusuf 'Ali
  2. A mirror of an awakened human being is transparent. It can see through the other side as is. Clearly A mirror of a normal human being is opaque & reflective. It reflects the mind of the person looking at it. There's dusty mirror, dirty mirror, cloudy mirror... (Where you can't even see yourself clearly. Your innate nature. Your pure self...) I like the word 'lens' better...it's the veil that is between you and another soul. Connection is only possible through a purified lens. Or else, you'd only see your own reflection. If you hadn't turned your mirror into a transparent glass, you're not awakened. Those who knows God knows everything the first, can see the greateness of God's Creations, goodness in everything the second, can make unbias judgement. You can take their words and the third, are blind and deluded, forever suffering
  3. @arlin it is just another creation. It is not you. It can flow through your blood and nervous system. The Jinn. Demon. Weak if you don't give power to it. Strong if you surrender yourself to it. I've seen others gets possessed a lot when I was younger. And I realized that many people here confused real spirituality with the Jinn possessions. Haha. It can be really subtle. Affecting the way you think, the way you feel, thinking that it's you..
  4. Wait, was it last year?.....Yea it's November.
  5. I ended up not sleeping till suhoor(light meal before fasting), the moon reminds me of Mishkat ul-Anwar, a book by the same author. "The Niche of Light" - I buy it last february when my friend randomly stop by an old bookstore. The way he described it is light upon light upon light upon light.... Inspired by this verse; An-Nur : "The Light" Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: The Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah does guide whom He will to His Light: Allah does set forth parables for men: and Allah does know all things. 24:35 I wish to be at least as close as the moon's light(In comparable to God) by the end of this Ramadan
  6. Context: I was reading Imam al-Ghazali's book late at night....it touched my heart.... and it reminds me of the people in this forum. How one word will be interpreted with infinite interpretations. With infinite minds. ....... When I look out the window, it's the same vision that I saw in my dream last month. A bright half moon with sparkling stars.. I got a feeling that my dreams comes true. In my religion, we are not allowed to share bad dreams, or else it will becomes true. The way we interpret our dreams, will determine how it will turns out.. Or... is it not?
  7. I'm all in for a direct, brutally honest discussion beyond game & manipulation. Or else...it's time wasting~
  8. @Joseph Maynor yea but sometimes, it's not worth your time. You need to know when something is worth it or distractions.
  9. @Joseph Maynor you know when a criticism comes from a sincere place, or from ego, or from fears, or from having a certain limitation in someone's awareness. Sometimes it's time wasting. Sometimes it's simply impossible to share. Because everyone has a certain limit. It depends on the receiver too. And of course the conveyor.
  10. @Samantha Share your wisdom Can you give me one wisdom? Anything that comes to mind spontaneously I am a 23-year-old girl^^ (I like asking gurus, authors and elderly for wisdom?)
  11. @now is forever ok. I'll do justice in presenting informations that is full circle next time iA. But for now; Getting it mixed up here means: when I can't remember if some infos are from the Quran or from the bible. Because the bible have a more detailed explanations of a certain event. While the Quran explain it briefly, like a summary of previous scriptures, and more new revelations. I wan't my lens to be purely Quran based(for now).Because I do get it mixed up, and it's hard to try to remember which source a particular verse/whatver tht comes to mind is from. It has become unnecessary distraction to my mind.
  12. I'm still contemplating and observing karma. Hmm... It makes sense. Karma=attachement
  13. Yea. The one that we have now has lose it's real meaning. The roots.(though subtle) But if you read a lot, you can see which is true and which is deviated. I got two versions, but have stop referring to it since I got it confused/mixed with the Quran.
  14. @mandyjw @abrakamowse On Jesus Christ This is for christians...from the Quran... Surah Al-Maidah (the Tablespread) 5:110 Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to you and to your mother. Behold! I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit, so that you did speak to the people in cradle and in maturity. Behold! I taught you the Book and Wisdom, the Law(taurat)and the Gospel(injeel) and behold! you did make out of clay, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and you did breathe into it and it becomes a bird by My leave, and you did heal those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! you did bring forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from(violence to) you when you did show them the Clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: "This is nothing but evident magic". 5:111 "And behold! I inspired the disciples to have faith in Me and My Messenger : they said, " We have faith, and do you bear witness that we bow to Allah as Muslims". 5:112 Behold! The disciples, said: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Can your Lord send down to us a Table set(with foods) from heaven?" Said Jesus: "Fear Allah, if you have faith." 5:113 They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that you have indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle." 5:114 Said Jesus the son of Mary:" O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a Table set(with viands) , that there may be for us- for the first and the last of us- a solemn festival and a Sign from You; and provide for our sustenance, for You are the best Sustainer (of our needs)." 5:115 Allah said: "I will send it down unto you: but if any of you after that resists faith, I will punish him with a penalty such as I have not inflicted on any one among all the peoples." 5:116 And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Did you say unto men, ' worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say:"Glory to You! Never could I say what I had no right(to say). Had I said such a thing, You would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Yours. For You know in full all that is hidden. 5:117 "I(Jesus) never said to them except what You did command me to say, to which, 'Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when You did take me up You were the Watcher over them, and You are a witness to all things. 5:118 If You do punish them, they are Your servant: if You do forgive them, You are the Exalted in power, the Wise." 5:119 Allah will say: "This is a day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: theirs are gardens, with rivers flowing beneath-their eternal Home: Allah well-pleased with them, and they with Allah: that is the great salvation,(the fulfilment of all desires)." 5:120 To Allah does belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is therein, and it is He Who has power over all things. ....... Translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.. These verses were revealed to the prophet Muhammad by inspiration through angel Gabriel, from Allah, the God of All creations. Back then, people memorize it by heart, some wrote it down as Muhammad recites it slowly. Every verse and surah, has it's own events revealed at different time within 23years of the prophet's lifetime. He didn't live during the time of Jesus, or Moses, but it was revealed to him through angel Gabriel(Jibreel). Yes, Jesus was given wisdom, miracles & Allah teached him all of the previous scriptures(the Book, the Wisdom,Torah& Injeel). Without a father, strengthened by the Holy Spirit..
  15. It's out of fear. I see a lot of fears in this forum. The roots of all suffering. A truly enlightened masters won't fear anything(relative) .Only then you can love. What can I do? It's too obvious. Hmm? It's like, the older you get, the more negative you become
  16. You will last, That's the whole point, So just do what you love. ^This is what I meant by following your lower self instead. It depends on what God is to you.
  17. I see how it can leads to deception upon deception upon deception
  18. You said you have become conscious of God the Absolute, but why are you still partially enlightened?
  19. @Aakash figure out that which is permanent & unchanging.
  20. ..in this world. I'm workin on something that will last after I died physically. God had taken away from me all those things that i've mastered, in exchange of showing me what really matters. When it's not coming from your lower self, it simply becomes more meaningful. My passions are no longer obsessive & neurotic. Each one. My babies~Things I hold dear. Haha *The only One that is everlasting : Allah, the creator of ALL creations.
  21. @Leo Gura It depends on what God is to you. In the end, you'll just be following your lower self. Thinking that you're god.
