  1. Why do you wanna remove the borders?
  2. What I love about my school was my tactful & elegant teachers.
  3. @lightnessofbeing Love when you love. Hate when you hate. Revenge if you do wanna revenge. Forgive only if you do forgive. That's how you live a life without a shadow. Patience is above all beneficial. Good luck. *Benefits here can be worth it. So much worth it. (You can trade your suffering with anything you want from God). It's up to you though. Any is fine.
  4. @NormanN Ayy I actually haven't answered you. I don't know what RASA is , or the names and methods you've mentioned in this thread. But here's my experience ; A real teacher will know exactly what to teach in mass crowd and individually. They will look at the crowd. What's the best thing to teach at that specific moment for the specific crowd. Individually would be different. Small group will be slightly different. Some guru, can answer me before I asked. Some, I saw his light. I know I can trust him. Some can listen to my inner talk even from far away. It's funny. I said I don't understand arabic, and he switch to my language. He knows what I did the night before. Gurus will teach people differently. Based on their student's levels. They know exactly what is best to teach you at a specific moment. It will be precise. The truly learned guide is a sheep, not a bird; he gives his knowledge altruistically. For the sheep gives its lamb, digested, pure milk; Whereas the bird gives its chick regurgitated vomit. -Said Nursi- But it is important to know that they are just a guide, it is God who sent all these beings to me, or me to them, for me to learn about Him through these people. It's a blessing. Edit : If God give you a blessing, and you don't appreciate your blessings, you'll be cursed. ... Random Wisdom [11:9] And if We give man a taste (of)Mercy from Us, and then We withdraw it from him, indeed, he (is) in despair (and) ungrateful*. So, we need to be grateful regardless of everything. And not give up from God's Mercy when something is taken away from us. [11:10] But, if We give him a taste (of) favor after hardship (has) touched him, surely he will say ; "Have gone the evils from me **." indeed, he falls into exultation and pride. [11:11] Except those who (are) patient and do the good deeds ***, those for them (will be) forgiveness and a reward great. *He does not realize that some kinds of chastening are good for discipline and the training of our spiritual faculties. **He takes it as a matter of course, or as due to his own merit or cleverness. He does not realize that both in good and ill fortune, there is a beneficent purpose in the Plan of Allah. ***Their attitude is the right one: to take ill-fortune with fortitude and good fortune with humility, and in either case go on persevering in good deeds to their fellow-creatures. (Sahih International translation & King Fahd Holy Qur-ān.)
  5. Growing up in different countries & cities. Travelling, languages, cultures..
  6. Wait I actually got it wrong? 19. Sūrat Maryam (Mary) Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth, but must come to The Most Gracious as a servant . [19:93] He does take account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly*. [19:94] And everyone of them will come to Him singly(alone) on the Day of Judgement. [19:95] On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will The Most Gracious bestow Love**. [19:96] *Allah has no sons or favourites or parasites, such as we associate with human beings. On the other hand every creature of His gets His love, and His cherishing care. Everyone of them, however humble, is individually marked before His Throne of Justice and Mercy, and will stand before Him on his own deserts. **His own love, and the love of man's fellow creatures, in this world and in the Hereafter. Goodness breeds love and peace, and sin breeds hatred and contention. (Mushaf Al-Madinah An-Nabawiyah , King Fahd Holy Qur-ān.) Hehe
  7. Talking about spiritual teachers, our conversations are always about Allah and It's creations. I don't worship them neither do they wanna be worshipped. We're always speaking about Allah. (Apart from practical advices). Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth, but must come to The Most Gracious as a servant . [Sūrat Maryam (Mary) 19:93] And everyone of them will come to Him singly(alone) on the Day of Judgement. [19:94] On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will The Most Gracious bestow Love*. [19:95] *His own love, and the love of man's fellow creatures, in this world and in the Hereafter. Goodness breeds love and peace, and sin breeds hatred and contention. (Mushaf Al-Madinah An-Nabawiyah , King Fahd Holy Qur-ān.)
  8. It will feel like they are speaking to you right in front of you. Answering you exactly what you needed to know. It's very specific.
  9. "To sit face to face with a sage for a moment, is better than other practices (done for a very long time)." If they have died, reading their words works too.
  10. Actually I said that because an enlightened being just happened to came at my home yesterday, randomly. It was unplanned. That was his words. Personally, i've met enlightened being some times. How much you get from them will be dependant on your personal limit. You could be viewing him from afar among the crowd. If it's mass teaching, each will get differently based on their own limitation. If it's personal, face to face interaction, you'll get exactly what you needed to hear/learn. But, what is your definition of "enlightened being" ? A fake one won't do you any justice. @LfcCharlie4 Presence is whatever that is, as long as you both are in the same space. Whether you're having a conversation, Q&A, just sitting, or whatever. Where interaction is possible. No matter how far.
  11. Truth is apparent. It can't be hidden Anything that seems hidden is not Truth. Therefore, you are not God.
  12. Ok i'll give you a normal answer. To sit face to face with a sage for a moment, is better than other practices (done for a very long time). They can do anything, speaking, just sitting, teaching, or simply you visiting them for a short while. It doesn't really matter. The chance is, if you've come across a sage, it will likely be that you'll get slightly awakened. Just being in the same space will do.
  13. I said whatever that is. God teach me karma even through babies. And real life guru. Whatever that is. Who told you to write off teachers?
  14. @NormanN My teacher is Reality. Whatever that is. Listening, reading, human teacher, nature, the living & the dead. Past & present. ? Seeing?
  15. I wonder who made this teaser... One of the coolest cinematic teaser i've seen. I wonder who's the director.
  16. Undigested Knowledge Should Not Be Imparted To Others The truly learned guide is a sheep, not a bird; he gives his knowledge altruistically. For the sheep gives its lamb, digested, pure milk; Whereas the bird gives its chick regurgitated vomit. - SAID NURSI -
  17. I am not sure if this one is a replica or the real ones. Actually there are many original ones. I thought only prophets can do such miracles. When they step on a stone, it leaves a print. It was an actual stone. Actual footprint. Prophet Abraham footprint in Mecca stays beside the Ka'ba (the cube that he built with his son) till now. His bow & arrow is big too. They are physically bigger than us. Slightly.
  18. @Jahmaine Thanks. This is interesting. I had once asked in this forum if our physical body can turns into light. The second article , the monk left his handprint & footprint. In Mecca, we have prophet Abraham footprint set in stone. And this is a picture I took of prophet Muhammad's footprint. (Peace be upon him) I think he is big.
  19. You know what? I am not into movies. But I happened to watch this with my cousin (which is a rare thing for me to watch a movie) years ago. And I thought this movie is great. ( though i do fall asleep at one point). But it's a good one.
  20. The First Way is direct , and without barrier or veil. This way represent the way of prophet hood. The Second Way : In this, barriers intervene. The capacities of the mirrors and places of manifestation add color to the Sun's manifestations. This way represents the way of sainthood. Thus, on the First Way, 'Flower' , 'Droplet' , and 'Atom' can each say : "I am a mirror to the Sun of all the world." But on the Second Way they cannot say that; they can rather say : " I am the mirror to my own Sun, or the mirror to the Sun which is manifested in my species." For that is the manner in which they know the Sun. They cannot see a Sun which looks to the whole world; the Sun of that individual or species or genus appears to it within narrow confines and under limiting restrictions. And it cannot ascribe to that restricted Sun the works of the unrestricted, unconfined , absolute Sun. For within those narrow restrictions and limited confines it cannot attribute to the Sun with certain witnessing of the heart its majestic works like furnishing the whole face of the earth with light and heat, stirring all plants and animals into life, and making the planets revolve around it. Indeed, even if those three things, which we suppose to have consciousness, ascribe those wondrous works to the Sun which they see under those restrictions, they can only do so with the mind and through belief, and through submitting to the fact that that restricted thing is absolute. Whereas these judgement, of 'Flower' , 'Droplet', and 'Atom' , which we suppose to possess reason like a human being, that is, their ascribing those mighty works to the Sun, is through the mind and reason, it is not through illumination. Indeed, sometimes their judgement concerning belief clash with their illuminations about the cosmos. They can only believe them with great difficulty. SAID NURSI 24th WORD-SECOND BRANCH
  21. A better illustration : However you wanna interpret this image : Each dot is a portal. You don't need a line to connect to the Point. But with the Lines, you'll be free from skewed perspective (lenses). Actually each have it's own lines & roots connected to the Point. Trying to erase your roots is pointless. Each dots can have personal connection to the Point regardless of the lines & connections. But it would be skewed. Unless you're totally Pure. Awareness can look through each dot's perspective. But the dots couldn't look through awareness perspective. Unless you are totally connected to awareness. This is my imaginations. Don't take it seriously?
  22. @SoonHei but you put Awareness in a box.... What's the difference between Awareness & the person's perspective then, if you exclude the box? I'd rather put Awareness as a Point. With everything else surrounding it to infinity. Given that there is no radius limitation..
