  1. Maybe it's a tactic to narrow his audience down to people who are open enough to listen to what he has to say without feeling belittled. Maybe it's just the way he knows to communicate best and he doesn't care to change it because it's not worth the inefficiency. I don't know, he'd have to explain it himself. People are different. Noone does things exactly the way you would do them.
  2. yeah come on let's ask these questions! What about these marginalised groups? Have you read up on the mistreatment of poor, ugly and weak people? Or more importantly: Have you read up on the systemic and societal discrimination against men? Because these things exist! I urge you to do your research and argue for betterment if you truly care about these issues! Otherwise I need you to stop only bringing up these topics if somebody else wants to talk about their rights. All these issues are real and most importantly, they overlap! What about poor, ugly and weak women? What about gay black men? Virtually everyone in the world is being discriminated against in some way. Noone can talk about everything all at once. If you care about something, speak up! Otherwise don't make it harder for people wanting to get treated better.
  3. Could it be possible that you simply have some mild allergies? I for example currently have hayfever and one of my symptoms is exactly what you described. Sometimes my nose is only the tiniest bit stuffy, so I don't even always notice what is causing my trouble breathing. I also often get headaches and feel tired. If you think that could be the cause, try washing your face or even better showering before bed, also wash your face and, blow your nose and use nasal spray when you get up. Of course you could also try using medication like ceterizine, but this could in turn make you even more tired, which is why I don't like using it. If you find out that it's in fact allergies, unfortunately you just gotta learn to wait it out until the triggers gone.
  4. Well why don't jo go jog, dance, fight or fap then? Life isn't all about discipline. Don't beat yourself up for enjoying things that aren't productive. Self-development should be pursued because it makes you feel good and fulfilled. A big part of that is also allowing yourself to just be and enjoy the many things life has to offer, even if they don't directly improve your abilities or knowledge. I feek if you didn't view these activities like videogames as inherently bad, you'd be able to perform them much more consciously. If you notice that you're in the mood to play, take some time out of your day to really enjoy the activity and regain some energy to do the more mentally exhausting things. You aren't a machine.
  5. Everybody, every woman wants to feel valued. Do not approach women because you want something from them, approach them, because they are already giving something to you, because they are of value to you. Approach them because you enjoy their company and want to get to know them. Why the hell would anyone be attracted to you, if you just see them as a piece of meat, a means to an end? You cannot expect other people to just give you what you desire, without offering something in return. Paradoxically, at the same time, stop treating human relationships as a transaction.

The first time I did the test was atleast 5 years ago, i got INTP and definitely saw myself fit parts of the description, but especially the parts about the INTP not being able to recognize others feelings didn't feel correct. Couple of years later I did it again and got INFP, though I really couldn't identify with large parts of the description even though I felt I had answered all the questions honestly. I did it a third time some weeks ago and got ENFP, which definitely could fit the view some people have on me, but definitely does not feel right either, it rather fits the way I may want to be seen. Going back to INTP I cannot identify with that one either by now. So I kinda feel like you, OP, but I would not worry about that too much. After all it really isn't a revelation that the human mind is very difficult to be categorized.

  8. There have actually been studies showing that for example people named Phil were much more likely to move to Philadelphia. This has been done with many more similar scenarios and there definitely seems to be a coherence.
  9. I recently had a talk with a doctor who specializes in diabetes. She told me that, unfortunately, the human body has a desire to maintain your weight at the highest you've ever reached. That's why it's so hard for most people to lose weight and keep it that way. It does require some mental strength, but it is definitely not a lost cause. Apparently it is easier to compensate for it through more physical activity, rather than restricting your eating habits.
  10. Interesting vision I can agree, that that would probably be a beautiful utopia. But I'm not sure if people living in this world would be truly fulfilled and loved. With all the freedom they got and no obligations, what are they going to do with all the free time on their hands?
  11. That's not how actualization works in my experience Your progress does not get lost, if you allow yourself to fall back into old patterns every once in a while. Often times you don't even fall behind that much. Your mind doesn't automatically forget everything it has learned the past few weeks/months/years, just because you're focusing on something else for a while I feel like mindfulness tends to welcome me back with open arms every time I stroll a little off my desired path.
  12. What exactly was your intention in posting this? I find your viewpoint very interesting and can't disagree with you. But why exactly do you want to change your body? And what exactly would you change to be close to your self-image? And if you want to change your body to be closer to your self-image, doesn't that mean, you do in fact identify with your body to a certain point?
  13. I think the most important thing to do to be able to get out of these holes as fast as possible, is to not judge yourself. Do not think that you are being weak for falling back into old patterns. Do not think that maybe spirituality just isn't for you. Do not think that all the effort you have made is not worth it. Instead, give yourself time. Be understanding. If it weren't hard for you, you would have already reached enlightenment/ full consciousness. The fact that it isn't easy just means that you aren't there yet and you still have to work on yourself. Just like all of us. You have always found your way back to the path of spirituality, so just trust yourself, that you will do it again.

  15. @Paulus Amadeus not everything has to be a meaningful use of time Why don't you just try it out? If after 2 weeks you decide it isn't for you after all, stop doing it. It's as easy as that. ^^ Besides, you can use a "simple" platform like a gaming channel just as well to make an impact and convey issues important to you (:
