I wrote a comment earlier and I am very curious if you understand what I wrote there about managing love, and the subtleness of believing in good/bad to the extent that you sacrifice too much. Also please tell me if I offended or discouraged you in any way, because that wasn't the intention at all. I started on the same path a few years ago and it gets even better. My mission is to unify Science & Spirituality. I have a strong empathy towards what you said and I wish to share something with you. A simple thought experiment ∞ I would like to share a vision while keeping it as simple as I can. SDi "concerns itself with the deep complexity codes that shape our many worlds" [ http://www.spiraldynamics.net ]. We could understand even more about its implications. I personally think/feel/believe that "stages" above this model are simply a confirmation of a bigger picture, one that encompasses a broader interconnectivity between all dimension of reality ( time, matter, metaphysical, thoughts, life, science, outer/inner worlds, air, water, animals, feelings, haters, the universe, etc ) and won't go any deeper into the matter because I honestly don't know, yet. What I do know is the fact that we we have the possibility to associate different perspectives in order to to shape our dimension of reality through a common goal and homeostasis ( interlocked, of course, from the micro to the macro scale and vice versa). What am I trying to say here ? What IF we ( we = human civilization; a living entity made up of individuals living on Planet Earth) could embrace our collective awareness, use what we know ( including, but not limiting to SDi ) in order to help ourselves shift into Type 1 Civilization ? ( On a personal note : I am grateful that this concept (Type 1 Civilization) already exists, regardless of the fact that it resides within future time) What is Type 1 Civilization ? It would be great, though, because we are all part of this beautiful, ever-changing world and every contribution is in a good light, no matter in what field. Even more, just like our body is made up of ~ 37.2 trillion individual cells, they form together an independent entity with free will, capable of awareness and cognition. What IF we, as humans, are "cells" in a bigger organism and our whole existence is in symbiosis with Mother Earth ? The last "IF statement" is true by default and simply wrote it just to enhance the thought experiment. How can we achieve this ? We might posses the foundation (?) Personally, I do not think there is a blueprint out there that describes this specific process, but then again I may be wrong. However, like I suggested above: raising our collective awareness working towards a common goal while maintaining homeostasis might be the blueprint itself. Who knows ? My thoughts ? I deluded myself with the same egotistical drive and after some self-inquiry, research and some more understanding of reality as it is I came up with this conclusion : Loving the awesome traits that makes us human is a privilege = really good "homeostasis" for a creative mind. IF the opportunity arises you can bring your contribution in order to solve world problems, and that is a miracle. Here is a miracle : What if more and more people start pursuing personal development with a drive from intrinsic motivation and not as a response to external circumstances. I believe/think/feel that every stage has certain manifestations throughout the day, every day therefore we may be predominantly our self's truest focus in the moment ( even if we grasp it or not, ahem) and even shift between all other. I will provide my personal insight : The first few seconds when I wake up I am pure beige, a very cozy feeling. In human interactions, depending on the circumstances I shift between blue, orange and green. Mystical/Transcendental/Psychedelic experiences feel Purple, simple & magical. Red is an underlying constantly available stage. Why ? If it comes down to a unpredictable, physical dispute, even if you do not respond because of an inherit stage you are in, I strongly believe that you would feel at least a glimpse of red ( a.k.a. impulsiveness, whether you defend yourself or not, you still feel it ). Also let's think about our survival instincts if we were to be : lost in the heart of the forest with limited resources ( exclude the questions, how you got there in the first place, because they are irrelevant ), doing extreme sports, etc where I am sure there are tints or pure moments of red. Zeratul from Starcraft can be turquoise or above and become red when slaying his foes. When I am in my own mind and Universe, i search for connections, find new ways of seeing ( most of the time the same thing from different angles or with "different eyes", dissecting, understanding, unifying, implementing, searching for a boundless & true peace of mind while doing so This (thought) "process" is attached to a goal, bigger than myself, most of the time being reshaped because most of the time the "finish lines" are just thresholds into a newer dimension. I think as a human/entity, whatever, if you truly have certain degree of pursuit, diving into higher stages become inherit. What can I say ? Spiral Dynamics further enhanced my perception, models, principles, beliefs and brought order within my information system and instantly "sent me back to school". Wait, what ? Yes, exactly ! I felt like a lucky child that just got his invitation letter from Hogwarts. The repressed areas of the other stages came back. For examples I found out this way that I had issues in the Orange area. Why do I say that ? Well, I've been Orange as I practiced extreme sports and playing video games. Within the implied communities/dimensions I burned out all of my competitiveness and materialism while constantly staying on my edge. It's funny because most of my life I didn't give a s**t about money, fame, fortune, how popular I am, how many people know me for various reasons, and in general for me those were concepts that I resented from the bottom of my heart. However, I always respected traits of Orange : financial autonomy, results-driven, success ( Yes! Very important because without it, dreams remain dreams, which is sad ). Cheers !
