This is like wasting time in youtube comment section. -Because you are picking some very narrow arguments and putting whole group in this narrow argument , not even that, your argument itself has to many flaws, starting from argument "most people over the age of 60 have heart disease" , well there are many things that cause hearth diseases that just so happen to be prevalent in current times, like stress, sedentary lifestyle, junk food, smoking,alcohol and so on. You know there are more then just one meat type Yes it is, what is your point? Idk where you got idea that I think that people should only eat animals, but for basic needs we are already doing quite good with 7 bn people, actually we are putting allot of meat in unhealthy industries, so if you want to fight something start with it, not meat itself.

I do not want to go into details to show why you are looking at wrong things. Most people develop some kind of problems when they age,just because one food has higher risk to make you develop one disease does not mean that other food does not have 100 other problems it can cause, for your surprise countries that eat meat have longest lifespan, countries that have strong vegetarian base do not even have good enough medical care to make any statistic of health problems, except their life span. And problem in things you mentioned is not even meat itself, but eating to much of it, or rather eating something that you can hardly call meat. If you want to define meat eaters as people who eat fries, pizza, burgers, kfc chicken then I do not even see point to have a discussion with you.

You are all being silly, I can endless lists of people who are vegetarians and die young, just as meat eaters, or vegetarians who have long life span and meat eaters who have long life span, if it all would be such one sided argument there would be no discussion to be had.

It does not matter in what you believe, it is practical to know that if you will do certain things , certain things will happen. Duality, non-duality is just like chasing perfect perspective in infinity, you might have knowledge of "deeper" perspectives, but it will not change fact that there are people who live their life by "lower" perspective, but again as I said, it is like chasing something that is just something in infinity.

Good quality meat is way to expensive for most of people, I can bet that rarely anyone even knows how huge difference there is in what they can find in their local store and what is proper meat. Same goes with pretty much every food.

For me is about balance, if you can live as vegetarian without having problems it is a way I would go , it is about anything really, if you can take action that will be less harmful for everyone involved it is a way to go, I am certainly against animal abuse in food industry and if you are meat eater I would at least try to buy food from providers who let animals live in more free environment. Not all Buddhists are vegetarians!

I do not believe in justification in full sense, if you will try to justify all of your actions you will soon realize that it is not possible and you will have to do things that you might find unethical just because actions have consequences in all directions, you will make your life one huge suffering just so you can escape few more unethical things.

Everything is consciousness, the grass , the tree , vegetables you eat are all conscious, air your breath, it is just matter of how complex it is,

I did not say that vegan diet is unhealthy and meat is healthy, I just pointed out that just because vegan diet , or vegetarian diet worked out for him , does not mean that other people will not have health problems from such diet, he was putting his experience as universal law that for some reason should work for everyone, just because it works for him. It is you who put it as one dimensional, when there was nothing really in my comment to make it one dimensional.

Good for you, but lot of people get health problems from vegan diet only, just because it works for you does not make it universal law.

Interesting topic, only thing that I can say from observation is that body adapts to lifestyle, notice how people who are skinny have it quite difficult gain weight even if they sit on proper diet to gain weight , depending on person it can take months , or up to year until you start to get serious gains in weight, it is like you reach point and it spikes your weight, same with losing weight , it can be difficult to lose big amount of weight for a while, but you keep up with it, it starts to become way easier and faster process. Some people can gain 10 or more kilograms in one week, some would not gain even 2 kilograms eating the same in such short time.

Do not think he picked it to fight in ring, or to fight someone.

Listen , it is all good that it worked out for you ,you applied letting go at right time , telling this no free belief of yours to someone who is not ready to integrate it will be devastating and I am telling again, maybe read my post few more times and you will understand why you make 0 sense, or you are simply talking about partial free will, which I would agree with, also it is illusion of being ego, this person , not illusion of free will, idk where you read about there being no free will and who was elaborate enough to explain how he has no free will, but none of teachings I know talks about there being no free will, but rather mechanic that make it partial mix of both.

If there is no free will then you can't really believe , or not believe something, it is simply your attribute that you did not chose, so your whole post makes 0 sense, Also there is huge difference , how and when you apply surrendering , which is not the same as having no free, I am very happy too , but I believe in free will , difference is that I believe in something that I have control of, not believe that I have control of something that I can't have control of to begin with.

No it is bad word play that can get you in trouble -You think that you have no free will and everything that you do is supposed to happen, so you can fuck up your life big time by doing silly shit. -You can start to think that you can't do nothing about your problems, because if they will get fixed, it will happen on its own. -You can't know, you can only have belief,believing that there is no free will does not end your suffering, actually I am quite sure that you will bring way more suffering to you, but I guess we could argue about it.

It is irrelevant, only thing that non-dual state shows is that ego is not you, ofc there are many state in it, but that is not a point I am getting at, observer object state does not free you from I completely, or minds perception of how you will perceive this experience, not to mention that going back into ego mind will surely make it play with experience and picking wrong perspective listening ,reading can make you completely miss the point.

I am not here to defend all of his work, I was just commenting on this particular video. I have not done any psychotherapy, never felt need to, you are probably going now in direction of how much bs there is in this profession and how it is matter of luck if you are going to get psychotherapist who actually has deep knowledge of human psychology and is there to help, not just for money and following written rules of identifying "mental illnesses" , making drug prescriptions for them. Or how lots of them use silly methods that do not deal with problem, but are more of a affirmation methods.
