@Ingit it's completely up to the vibrational level of the music. Music can bring you down, or it can greatly bring you up. Be very honest with yourself over what music you listen to, and the intent behind it. It might be helpful to relate spiral dynamics to the music. So if you want to be lifted by music, you have to listen to high consciousness music that's at your stage of development or above. Also be aware that Youtube talks can have a similar healing effect (like Sahdguru, Ken Wilbur, etc).

A great technique for installing this habit is to wear one of those rubber wrist bands for a month. Every time you see the arm band, you remember to relax, smile, and observe in the present moment. Falling off track a lot is completely normal, so never kick yourself over it lol. -

Ha, right on! It's a practice. You have to treat your entire life as a meditation. Bring consciousness into every task, even the most mundane, and you'll have aha moments on the daily. + -

@Shin whatever a human can do, the universe can do by default. -

@Shin what the fuck ??? -

@TheIndigoKid yeah, you're starting to awaken! That is what's happening. Keep in mind that it's not going to all be sunshine and rainbows. -
Thank you for the great writeup! Happiness is so simple that it's almost impossible to accept, so really ponder this next sentence: Happiness is the degree to which you can accept and live the present moment. That's it. That's the radical re-definition you're calling for.

@Ethan_05 accept and surrender to what is. For your little ego had nothing to do with it, but you, your higher self, had everything to do with it. There is deep wisdom in the troughs as well as the crests... Your life will be much better when you practice becoming the Watcher and start surrendering your need for psychological control. Becoming the Watcher means learning how to apply the correct lenses, as well as fine tuning them. See the artistry and beauty in everything. Because it is there. Lmao. It's the antilanguage, the one that says so much to mean so little... And the one that says so little to mean so much. -
TheAvatarState replied to Ethankahn's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ethankahn I don't give a fuck about you (please excuse me). Rather, I care deeply about "you" but not "you", do you see? Is that limiting? I'd say it's limitless ? -
TheAvatarState replied to Ethankahn's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ethankahn OK. Back to your original question, spiral dynamics isn't something you attain. It is a model that is pointing to how we naturally evolve... So you're going up it whether you like it or not, in this life or another. -
TheAvatarState replied to Ethankahn's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ethankahn You named the True self "I" and the egoic self "me." Now, "I" and "me" traditionally refer to the same entity in English, so when you create this distinction, you define yourself as a duality. There's "me" then there's "I." Fantastic, we're getting some were, but even this is a concept. You have to go further. There is no difference between the "I" and the "me." Spiral dynamics doesn't exist. But the mechanisms it's pointing to are real. Those "forces" like gravity of love, consciousness, intelligence, etc... -
TheAvatarState replied to Ethankahn's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Oh no, not the police!! I swear I'm innocent!! ? -
TheAvatarState replied to Ethankahn's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ethankahn are these not interconnected? Why would spiral dynamics even be a thing if there wasn't some force in the universe towards unity and love? -
TheAvatarState replied to Ethankahn's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ethankahn just because you realized you have no self doesn’t mean that you’re not acting from that self at every moment. Saying you don't need to evolve because you are already this tree that needs no watering is to deny your human qualities... to deny you're a devil. And that's the most devilish move in the book. -

There's a lot of juicy stuff in this thread, so I hope you go back and read through with this knowledge. All we have is 1st person experience, which is characterized as being conscious and aware. "Objective" reality is something that is couched within and completely dependent on 1st person experience. "Objective" is something we coined to refer to consensus reality based on our 1st person experience. If you're having trouble seeing this, researching QM and the double slit experiment would be illuminating. Our 1st person experience/consciousness changes and creates the 3rd person objective, precisely because the 1st person is what comes first, and the objective is couched within (second-order phenomena). Of course that's not saying a sense of "objective" can't be a very important distinction for science and just navigating the world, it is nonetheless illusory. Also notice that just the fact we experience consciousness brings in a delicious strange loop to the equation. A self-referential problem. The mind-body problem is not possible to resolve from the materialist paradigm, that's why we've been philosophizing about it for millennia. In your question, you ask for proof of other realities. "Proof" is a second order phenomena based on the "data" of this local world! Let's say there was another reality that was equal to this, how could "proof" possibly prove it? What you'll find is that proof itself is an untenable notion. There is a lot of evidence in your direct experience that reality is a simulation, but it can't be proven. Maybe in the future scientists will be able to "prove" that, but at that point they'll have to drop the word "prove" and take it as common knowledge. Because there's nothing to point to call "proof"! Reality stays the same, they've just assumed from the start it was "physical." Knowing that all we have is 1st persona experience, there is no difference between what we call current reality and a "hallucination." None at all. Try to join these two images in your mind, collapse the "physical" into the "mind". For if they have the same definition, then they must be the same thing... -
I hope you enjoy! It's well worth your time.

@Sahil Pandit they should not be taken out of the dictionary, lmao. They have a specific use. What you're calling for is more conscious use of it, to replace it where applicable with positive reinforcement, and use of "don't" will naturally decrease. You make some great points, and I agree with you! ?

Effort, n. - 1. exertion of physical or mental power: It will take great effort to achieve victory. 2. an earnest or strenuous attempt: an effort to keep to the schedule. 3. something done by exertion or hard work: I thought it would be easy, but it was an effort. 4. an achievement, as in literature or art: The painting is one of his finest efforts. 5. the amount of exertion expended for a specified purpose: the war effort. Now the dictionary definition of "suffer" is not quite right, not nuanced. It says "to undergo or feel pain or distress." Suffering is actually distinct from pain, in that it's the level to which you experience and identify with negative emotions. Psychological time is a big component. So pain can cause an unconscious person to experience suffering, but they are not the same thing. It is possible to experience pain but not suffering, but this is not a possibility that is considered by the western community. It is even possible, and actually really common, to experience much suffering with little to no outside influence of pain. This is especially true in rich countries: cushy life, dying on the inside. So it is possible to exert effort without suffering. The best way to do this is to make sure your effort is alignigned with your life purpose and values. And it is also possible to suffer greatly without any exerted effort (actually it takes great mental effort to suffer, but that's mostly subconsciously). These two tend to be kind of related, but are not dependant at all. -
TheAvatarState replied to The Don's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That's not the problem, that's the solution. This is the beginning of Green, and not really a global perspective, just first world. The thing with Orange is that only the rich people start having less kids, while poor people continue to have a bunch of kids. That's baked into the system, and it has led to a greater gap between rich and poor. The orange system is unstable and leads to its own downfall. The problem with Orange is that it thinks upward growth can run rampant until the end of time. The problem with lower stages in a modern context is that it doesn't see the ecological impact of its own cultural policies, and having economic and cultural norms that encourage having a lot of kids is REALLY bad. -
