So if I'm understanding correctly, you just mean "think" in rational, human terms? Because there is obviously a higher intelligence governing all things, for instance "fungal intelligence" and the ability of a mold to "search" for food centers in highly intelligent ways that beat even the best engineers of today. -
TheAvatarState replied to EternalForest's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@EternalForest i believe the answer to everyone's questions here is psychedelics. There was an outburst of creativity and love in the 60s and 70s... There was a musical rennaisance, film rennaisance, basically every field burst out in all directions. It all traces back to psychedelics .. and the outlaw of said substances... Led to the fucking 80s MTV cocaine bullshit... Which led to our current unhealthy excesses of orange. It's obviously not a 1 for 1 full direct correlation, but they played the biggest part in the evolution of our culture, and will continue to shape us into Green and beyond in the near future. -

Yes, but in this quest, is it possible that that's... not what you want? Wouldn't permanent disidentification have some not so desirable side effects? Are you 100% sure you want to attain this level of consciousness? I guess I'm just curious if you have any misgivings about the territory you're headed for... Anyways, Godspeed, love ya Leo. -

@outlandish if we're going down this road. the right answer is that this shouldn't have been a question in the first place. But here we are, humans, always in less than ideal conditions. If you're set on having a psychedelic experience, it's safe (relatively, this is largely known that NBOMe break down in the stomach, but if there are discrepancies, you definitely want to consider those. this is your body.) anywhere you are to immediately swallow the tab. And NEVER do more than one tab of something you haven't tested or sourced yourself. NBOMe are still relatively safe at low doses, that's why they are used as a substitute. The NBOMe is only lethal at high doses. -

No, it's a movie with trippy special effects that were wayyyyy ahead of its time. A visionary movie, one of the greatest ever made. But it is not "accurate" to anything but itself. Would you say it's an accurate portrayal of the first weapon/tool used on Earth by a chimp? Would you say it's an accurate portrayal of space craft and space travel? Would you say it's an accurate portrayal of advanced AI? 2001 is a lot of things, but "accurate" isn't one of them. Just enjoy it for what it is, a beautiful, genius work of art that speaks to something greater. To answer your question though, look around you right now. This experience is pure consciousness. You've never known anything but pure consciousness, because that is all there is. -
Wow, this is a very interesting direction... I'll be looking forward to your ideas!

NEVER sacrifice your values, your humility, to command more respect or attention. This may seem counterintuitive, but true authentic humility commands everyone's respect. It is an immovable object, and in fact one of the rarest and most-prized character traits in existence. Society is in the business of convincing you that humility is weak, because they themselves do not possess the strength to wield it. Stay strong, my friend. -

Actually, if you're not sure about the efficacy of your substance, it is best to swallow the tab, especially for a first time. (Since you don't have an accurate judge of bitterness, since some ink blotter can be a little bitter even if laid with LSD-25). If it's bitter, that means it's NBOMe, and will not take effect if swallowed. If it's real LSD, then it will work just fine, no drop in potency. So no risk at all if you swallow the tab. Handle the tab at the edges, pop it in your mouth and drink down with water. 1 tab only for your first time! Good luck, safe travels, and please write us a trip report! @Javad -

@zunnyman Read Leo's 2nd latest blog post, the quote. You are on the right path ? -
@Roch you have this ideal of "normal" in your head, that if questioned, would come crashing down. You're just more conscious of your flaws and insecurities than most people... The normal person is just another brick in the wall, having no clue what the fuck they're doing in life. Just the fact that you're here means you've recognized the need for something greater. You don't want normal.

The future is here! Have you ever wondered what spending an entire day in an alternate reality would do to you? This video was a lot more interesting than I thought it would, because it gives an in depth review of the psychological aspects of spending time in VR. I think this is an important topic to research and contemplate, as this technology will only get more and more prevalent. The possibilities are truly limitless!

@Anton_Pierre You don't believe that you believe there is a God. Be honest.... -
TheAvatarState replied to ThomasT's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ThomasT Wonderful! It really sounds like you had a life changing experience! 5-meo is the last remaining psychedelic for me to try, and I have plans to do many sessions over the summer. Do you wish you had more psychedelic experience beforehand? Or do you think that maybe worked to your advantage in letting go? I'd be very interested to hear a little bit more about your experience! -
@LoveandPurpose get some modafinil!

Word, I really started recognizing this after Leo's retreat last year. The beard, the black dress shirt, the smile change, and especially the "Understanding Ego Backlash" video. -
TheAvatarState replied to The Blind Sage's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@The Blind Sage that advice really only applies to psychedelics you eat. I have found that fasting doesn't affect LSD very much, because it's absorbed through the mouth. Now, DIET is a huge factor for any activity in your life, but a one day change isn't going to do anything. -
TheAvatarState replied to Wisebaxter's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Leo, I believe this is the main key. I have seen so many reports, including those from Martin Ball, that 5-meo radically changes all other psychedelic experiences moving forward. -
TheAvatarState replied to Wisebaxter's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes, the effects are MULTIPLICATIVE, not additive. 300ug is way more than 2x stronger than 150ug. You know that through direct experience. And in my experience, the jump from 300 to 500 is like an order of magnitude higher. I know it's hard to imagine, but you just have to trust me that you can lose your mind on high doses, possibly causing harm to yourself. Yes it's a confirmed ticket to ego death, yes it's profound, but you must have a trip sitter. You're much better off just waiting for 5-meo. -
TheAvatarState replied to Paul92's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Paul92 This wasn't a goodbye post. This was a, "Here's all my questions and problems I don't understand. Thanks but no thanks, fuck you." type of post. This was a "let me diss several people in the spiritual community on my way out" post. I think that is unfortunate, considering that many here have talked you out of suicide and been nothing but nice to you, but anyways, later bro... I really do hope you find what you're looking for. Godspeed. -
TheAvatarState replied to Wisebaxter's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You're still a newbie, no need to rush to ego death yet. They come more naturally as you get used to the substance and learn and integrate. An actual ego death experience on Lsd right now might be traumatizing, so I wouldn't advise going above 300ug. Of course you can if you want to...The idea of you WILL die at 500ug+. But PLEASE have a trip sitter if you do, because you won't be able to control the experience. Safe travels my friend! -
You're right, there would be not regret no matter what decision they reached, because regret is egoic attachment to the past. Enlightened people make decisions decisively. Maybe "weigh on conscience" isn't the right phrase. They don't IDENTIFY with it, but it's the only true perspective to have in this case, considering there are no outside forces at play. Just two men in a cage. Let's say they were lost in the woods, one died of natural causes and other guy had to eat him to survive. Sure, that's happened before. But this hypothetical scenario is interesting. It's a stalemate. I think both would surrender and not play into the petty game of who gets to survive.
-
@Leo Gura Please don't call me naive. I actually agree with everything you wrote. Life IS brutal, and we only got here off the backs of countless other human and animal lives. Of course! If the natives did not eat animals, they would have died, and whether that's "right or wrong," here we are. Ta-Da! However, I feel like you may only have part of the story here. While there is a necessary duality of cooperation vs. competition, nature as a whole is predominantly based on cooperation. Our higher light and instincts, while an integration of the two, is something that ultimately transcends human nature. Your example of the two enlightened beings highlighted something that I believe adds another twist to this story. See, two lesser men would probably debate which life was worth more, and if they couldn't reach a consensus (which they wouldn't), it would inevitably turn to a fight to the death. However, we're talking about two enlightened beings. Would they debate which life was worth more? No, that's impossible. Would they fight each other to the death? No. I firmly believe that the only conclusion to be reached, from a nondual universal perspective, is for both to die in peace. I personally would rather go out that way than to live with that on my conscience. There is something here that transcends animal instincts, to appeal to karmic balance. I'm not asking you to agree with me, I'm just asking you to seriously consider this possibility. Would you sacrifice your body so that another may live? Would you kill another man so that you may live? You are both the victim and the perpetrator, so only if you answered Yes to both of these questions would your scenario play out... But would it? That's a stalemate! There would be no purpose to any of this nonsense, would there? As an example, remember the brilliant ending sequence of the two ships in The Dark Knight? See, the Joker was convinced that either one of the boats would blow the other up. That's human nature, is it not? And yet, it took a brave prisoner to come forward to do the unthinkable. "I'll do what you should of did a long time ago," as he threw the detonation device out the window. That was the action of an enlightened being.
-
This is an interesting perspective. I agree with the second part, but I'm having trouble imagining an enlightened being eating another for survival. Even if there was a guarantee that one would survive if the other died, I believe that both would come to the realization that to keep balance, both would have to starve to death and make peace with that. This is because they would both have a nondual understanding that they are the same entity. They would unconditionally love each other, and realize that one living at the expense of another is not the way forward. I believe we are to eventually transcend these animalistic instincts. That's the higher perspective, in my view.
