  1. @Aeris it was during a trip, it would be fruitless to explain
  2. @Serotoninluv ok, so you're telling me I need to define music by setting boundaries on it. The thing is, what is traditionally defined as music DOES NOT explain the seemingly universal phenomena surrounding it. It seems to be "understood" by animals and even extra dimensional beings. So it is in fact not relative to us humans. My point is that we must have an extremely limited boundary of what we think music is. I can't set distinctions for music any more than I can fora jadakot, which to me is pretty exciting.
  3. @Vaishnavi Shaman Oaks: Exploring the rabbit hole. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvvt3vK1nX-ILiCP2beqi9w
  4. You should question this. If you're experiencing addiction, then it cannot be to Truth. Truth is something you are. It cannot be understood, only experienced through a mystical experience. So the question is... what are you addicted to?
  5. Not true at all, this is a generalization. There's plenty of rich people who just got lucky through inheritance or with, like you said, access to people, ideas, and resources way beyond the norm. What people do WITH their money is way more telling of the character underneath than just the brute fact that they have a lot of money.
  6. @benmitchell2812 Andrew Yang is the leader America, and the world, needs right now. He is the only candidate that can beat Trump, as he wins over people from all across the political spectrum. "It's not or left, it's forward." I've been watching his campaign closely, and he's only going to grow and grow from here. I fully believe he'll be our next president. He leads by example from love, not fear. He believes in UBI (the freedom dividend) so much, that he is currently supporting 3 families with $1000 a month from his own pocket. He brings a stage Yellow, tier 2 approach to the table, and honestly it's really apparent when you compare his vision with the other candidate's. He has over 100 policy proposals on his website, and when you read through them you get a clear sense of what his vision and values are. I could go on, but please dive into what this man is about. He's a once in a lifetime candidate.
  7. I'd appreciate any input on this. So there's 2 worldviews going on in my head. Yes, I know they are both a waste of time and ultimately illusory, but I have to know. Each worldview leads to radically different and practical implications. The first is probably what most people visualize with nonduality. We are all the same, but each ego has a different and valid perspective. The second worldview that I can't seem to shake is that my perspective might be the only one that exists. That every person I've ever seen is literally a projection of my own mind. That every conversation I've ever had is only with myself, that for example I imagined an argument even though it didn't need to happen. That no one else actually has original thoughts, they are just my own thoughts in a separate "compartment" of my own mind, so I'm not conscious of it. Ok, those are the two views. Now, you might be thinking these might be the same... Perhaps they are. But there seems to be a fundamental difference between them, with huge implications in my relationship to the world. Probably my mental health too. I just want the Truth. But of course, this presents a catch-22. If the second worldview is correct, then I'm literally just asking myself. So, while I can't trust anyone's answer, I'm perhaps looking for other perspectives that I might be missing, so I can triangulate on the truth here. Nonduality is pointing to one of these 2 outlooks. And please don't tell me I'm wasting time fantasizing, if you were conscious of me, then you'd know that wouldn't be a proper response.
  8. We can both dine on void soup at the table of nothingness. There is no spoon; no tablecloth required
  9. Yes, I realize that now thank you. I said in a previous comment that it was selfish to assume that my perspective was the only valid one. By definition that creates a boundary between self and other, which cannot ultimately exist. My little ego doesn't exist, and my perspective is no more valid that a tablecloth's. As it must be... The radical implications of oneness.
  10. @FoxFoxFox I agree with a lot of what you said. It's not normal or healthy to think as deeply about this shit as I do. And to what end? Every time I go down the rabbit hole I just come back full circle. Every time, because I am the only authority. Granted my takeaway is a more holistic understanding, but still, it's not really condusive to leading a happy life. I just had an insight: I think this unconscious disorder is a survival strategy. What I'm surviving, however, I have no idea.
  11. @Aakash after enlightenment: chop wood, carry water. Knowing the intricacies of free will vs. determinism actually has no bearing on being, although it is practically helpful to understand some of your unconscious behaviors. In a way, this whole journey is a full circle back to child consciousness.
  12. Yes, good. I've contemplated free will vs. determinism extensively, and this is the correct conclusion. Reality is a strange loop and both are true, because the nondual nature of reality defies English pronouns. That simple. Your little ego has zero free will, but God's will is infinite. But... you are God. See, it's both!
  13. I don't buy it. If you drop understanding, you'll still unconsciously run on the default metaphysical program of your culture.
  14. @Inliytened1 @Aakash @Truth Addict thanks for the input! That's a good point about Authority (and what a great Leo video!). The only reason both worldviews seem like they could be true is because I have the only authority as God. Ok I think I get it now. I was stuck because I was still visualizing things in 3-D physical space, and it just wasn't adding up. But there is no boundary between self and other. That means my experience as a separate ego is also illusionary. I am everyone else, and none of us have unique thoughts because our thoughts aren't our own. Everyone I've ever known has been me all along, but not how we'd usually think of "me." These statements can be true for everyone reading this because "you" are the ultimate authority. See, if everyone WAS separate there would be chaos. The law of attraction wouldn't work because there would be so many conflicting interests. It was quite selfish of me to put MY perspective above any others, because that creates a boundary between self and other, as well as a fixed perspective such as a normal dream from which all projections are centered. This couldn't be the case. So, I actually feel better now. It'll take a while to settle this, but I know this worldview is closer to the Truth than where I was.
  15. @Leo Gura I just watched your newest blog post on infinite Love being the cause for everything, and wow I really connected with it this time! It's crystal clear to me. I even watched the video link below that (about corrupt Russian government), and it hit me that all of it was explained with Love. Vladimir Putin ordered those guards to murder that lawyer out of Love, and Bill Browder went after corruption because of Love for his lawyer friend. Ta-Da! In order to distill and purify your teachings, I think you should consider inserting quotes throughout your videos that get to the heart of each topic. What made your Aztec nonduality video so practical and powerful were the condensed quotes spread throughout. The right quote promotes further contemplation, especially if it is so simple it can't be ignored. Something like, "Love is the catalyst for every action in the universe." Think of how profound that is! You could then talk about this point for as long as you usually do, but I feel it would make your teachings better if you opened every new "section" of your talks with a quote of this nature. Thanks Leo!
  16. @SoonHei yes. The twisted form of love we refer to as "hate" is actually the result of loving yourself, or a part of yourself, more than other. So hate, by definition, can only exist in the presence of an illusory boundary of self and other. And that is why hate is not an entertainable notion at high stages of consciousness. I'm sure you knew that already haha, but I'm just talkin' hawkin'
  17. @Leo Gura That's too bad about your video being taken down without warning, but it got me thinking.... In your latest video, you said the strength of a country is directly proportion to how good its justice system is. Well, the internet is like the wild west right now, and we are forming entire identities around online use. We don't even own our own data, it's being sold for millions. This is BAD! Andrew Yang has a policy proposal to give each person the rights to their data, which they can sell, only if they choose, to corporations or government. What are your thoughts on this, and how else do you see regulation and consumer protection of the internet shaking out?
  18. Yes, but would any other action that Rick could take make sense? No. Just because Rick didn't "learn anything" doesn't mean the creators of the show dismiss it (if they did, it wouldn't be in there at all). Remember that this show is like a character piece on Rick, any action he takes is not indicative of the level of consciousness of the show or its creators.
  19. All you guys saying that Rick and Morty is stage orange propaganda and not worth your time.... You're not getting it! Honestly, you have to have a really high IQ to understand it, so probably 99% of it falls on deaf EyeHoles™️. The show itself isn't stage orange propaganda, it's a brilliant character piece on someone who views the world that way. Do you see the difference? Also realize that this show was made because of infinite love. @Leo Gura You'd love this show. Also it'd be great to watch Avatar the Last Airbender while you're at it. Go ahead and say it'd be a waste of time... Hahaha! You can't
  20. @The Don I disagree that what we need is more people. Population cannot keep growing at the rate it has, period. At some point it had to level out, we are raping the earth. The lowering infertility rate could have a lot to do with the decimation of normal sleep cycles. The latest research on sleep (from talks from Matthew Walker) show that getting irregular sleep or getting less than 7-8 hours had a MASSIVE effect on fertility. Testicles are 50% smaller in men who sleep 6 hours or less every night. Much lower sperm count. And that's only the tip of the iceberg of just how terrible lack of sleep really is. It's a global health crisis that hardly anyone is talking about.
  21. @BIggleswerth How about the song Echoes off the album Meddle? "Strangers passing in the street By chance two separate glances meet And I am you and what I see is me And do I take you by the hand And lead you through the land And help me understand The best I can And no one called us to the land And no one crosses there alive No one speaks and no one tries No one flies around the sun Almost everyday you fall Upon my waking eyes Inviting and inciting me To rise And through the window in the wall Come streaming in on sunlight wings A million bright ambassadors of morning And no one sings me lullabys And no one makes me close my eyes So I throw the windows wide And call to you across the sky." ------------------ Us and Them? "Black (black, black, black)0 And blue (blue, blue) And who knows which is which and who is who Up (up, up, up, up) And down (down, down, down, down) And in the end it's only round 'n round
  22. @Shaun intuition. Love. Creativity for the sake of it. Intelligence is a means for survival historically, but if you think about it, that's not actually its function. Animals use intelligence for survival, but intelligence is not hinged on survival. Actually there are many activities, such as meditation, that like you said can be used for survival in a roundabout way, but are actually grounded in consciousness, which transcends. There are so many things you do that aren't hinged on survival, which separate humans from other animals. Think creative expression. Anything spiritual. Psychedelics (although they can certainly be used to enhance life or get over addictions, their main purpose is to raise consciousness for the sake of knowledge and experience). Survival is a limited notion that is meant to be transcended.
  23. We are all mechanical chimps, and no one is getting out alive. The egoic "we" that is. It turns out that our true nature is something else entirely. I believe we are meant to transcend survival needs. Survival dictates everything we think we are, while it has no bearing on who we actually are. It's a temporary illusion, a facade. Did you know that worrying about survival actually makes us dumber and less rational? Someone worried about their next rent bill is scientifically proven to lower their IQ by 13 points, or 1 standard deviation. Just some food for thought.
  24. I absolutely love Coldplay, especially their albums A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y. Songs like Politik and Fix You are fire.
  25. This made my morning, thank you
