  1. @Leo Gura did God create all our "unique fear profiles." Is this the playground within which we must play? We didn't choose ourselves? Did your conversation completely put to rest the "find out what you're meant to be" vs. "choose who you want to be" argument?
  2. @kieranperez so it depends on how you define taking the blue pill. My view on it is like The Matrix, where you literally go back to your old life and completely forget about consciousness work. At least the people who spend all day on here are learning and doing *something.* They at least have a chance. True blue pill means they wouldn't even be here.
  3. What if you're here to learn how to be? You're trying to understand reality in human terms like cause and effect, reasoning and meaning. Instead, surrender to the possibility that what it means to be Infinite is to be outside of time and space, without appeal to external reasons or meanings (because infinity cannot go outside itself). It just fucking IS, and that's the biggest mindfuck of all.
  4. @Lowerplanedweller do you think anyone is here because they took the blue pill?
  5. @ilyasseconomist you're not awake right now because you're trying to wrap your head around what awakening is before you've experienced it. You think you're missing something. That's all you need to know, not a 40 minute video. Oh, and I disagree with him. "You're not awake because you're too smart," is a dumb thing to say. If that was the case, then you'd have to become "dumb" to understand, then the moment you turned back to "smart" you'd be incapable of remembering. The fact you can integrate awakening and remember it from any state means it has nothing to do with being "smart." Inability to awaken has nothing to do with previous knowledge or "smartness" from any angle, whether that's book smart, street smart, critical thinking smart, or IQ. Absolutely nothing to do with that. Leo would point out the classic mistake of believing it's impossible to understand awakening. That's an unfounded assumption.
  6. does that include hotel and airfare??
  7. Enlightenment has nothing to do with helping others. Yogi's sitting in a cave for the rest of their life can achieve enlightenment, then not have the desire to tell another soul. You don't actually believe you don't give a shit about others. If that was true, you wouldn't be here asking advice. It's just a facáde you've bought into, a defense mechanism. I'd like you to contemplate why this might be. What are you hiding from yourself? What are you in denial about?
  8. @AlphaAbundance why do you feel this is a problem that requires a solution? Who told you to fix this? Why do you feel this way?
  9. @AlphaAbundance this is a tricky question. A high consciousness person doesn't care about looks, but at the same time probably wants to look nice because he respects his body and wants to bring joy to others. "Not caring" doesn't mean you stop upkeep, it just means you'll feel exactly the same about yourself whether you're covered in shit and haven't showered in a month vs. looking like a freshly groomed model. Full acceptance of what is.
  10. This 100%. You will not change their mind so don't even try. But if you're open minded and receptive, you can learn so much about yourself by observing how you react to unconscious behavior. @Giulio Bevilacqua
  11. So the tits in my dream were real, and the tits in the waking reality was but a dream... I could get used to this
  12. Wow, I've kind of experienced a paradigm shift since inquiring into the nature of inquiring. It's mind-blowing how little people actually know about their own language and how poor they are at thinking even 1 move ahead. It's like they flail around questions without considering what the answer might be... We know the trick to good questioning is knowing what you want beforehand (weeding out the bullshit). Questions are tools. It's funny, maybe one phrase altered the course of humanity forever. We've all heard it: "There are no stupid questions." Just contemplate the impact this statement has had over the years. Perhaps some good, but probably it's exponentially negative over one's lifetime. No one ever taught you how to formulate an effective question, despite this being a critical, foundational skill. There's almost no consciousness in 99% of questions I hear, and yes, I'm aware that I'm guilty of that too. But I'm really trying to increase the quality. Just thought I'd share how I'm finally starting to understand what Leo meant.
  13. @Inliytened1 just so you're in the loop, those were quotes from superhero movies with one word changed.
  14. @Inliytened1 that's my secret, Captain. I'm always tripping.
  15. Reality is like gravity... All you need is a little push HEEHEEHEHEYAYAYAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
  16. @AlphaAbundance check out the channel Infinite Waters on YouTube. I believe him to be way more woke (understanding of nonduality) than much of his content may let on, because that's his business model. As for why there aren't more black people achieving high levels of awakening... just look around. African American culture is underdeveloped, mostly at spiral Dynamics stage Red and Blue. Of course this is no fault of their own, the result of systemic oppression over centuries. Like someone said above, interest in this work usually requires a certain privelege or background, and even then it's extremely rare. Yeah it's shitty and not fair, but here we are. Happy to have you!
  17. @Danioover9000 For example, this post is low quality because it wasn't specific, and it ignores the relative nature of high vs. low quality. Are you asking about posts on actualized.org? Posts or comments on social media? A high quality post in the self-actualization forum looks very different from a high quality post in the conscious government or relationship forum. A high quality post on Facebook or Instagram is dependant on the consciousness of your audience. A "high quality" post in the meditation forum would probably be completely meaningless to the general public, thus making it "low quality" from their perspective.
  18. NO.

You nailed this, brother. I had the same insight about a month ago. A "yes" means a "no" to another possibility (an opportunity cost), and a "no" actually means "yes," an acceptance, to your current state. Both are two sides of the same coin, and one is not more "powerful" than the other. Nice post
  19. You're able to self inquire alone, which means you do value your own desire for understanding. But when you're in a group, it sounds like social anxiety (fear) overrides it. This is very common, don't worry haha. So ask yourself, "Do I appreciate other people's questions? Am I turned off by their value of understanding?" Try visualizing yourself in their shoes. Would you be offended by your own question? The answer you should come to should be a comforting "no, I wouldn't be offended and yes I do appreciate when other people ask questions because I learn from them." It's easy to see that this social fear is completely unfounded. And yet, it's a strong force that can be difficult to overcome. This is where the spirit of "there are no stupid questions" comes in, but we have to make an important distinction. The "aim" of a question can certainly be pointless and stupid, but if you clearly understand where you'd like to go (and it serves a purpose), then all questions in that direction are good enough to ask, even if you're not able to word it well. Here's what I mean by questions and answers being Yin and Yang. A question has the seed (black dot) of an answer inside it, and an answer has the seed (white dot) for a question. One cannot exist without the other. Notice that every question contains within it a hidden metaphysical framework. A question sets the ground rules, thereby influencing the answer. And every answer is partial, dualistic, and in its own way begs another question. Think of it like quantum entanglement. They are interlinked. When you realize this, then you'll understand the quality of a question influences the quality of the answer. Just some food for thought, I hope that helped!
  20. That person should start figuring out what they want. By questioning. You only get better at questioning by questioning then observing the results. At the beginning, We are all terrible at questioning. This requires thinking for one's self. Someone with no desire to do so cannot be helped. Even if they were given tips and tricks to ask better questions, the questions they would ask would ultimately be misguided and fruitless because they wouldn't understand themselves. "Question" and "answer" are precisely like yin and yang.
  21. I actually deeply contemplated this the other night. It took me a couple hours before I could sleep because figuring out the nature of a question was so fascinating. Here's some insights I learned: a question is rooted in language, and is only a relative, human endeavor. This seems obvious, but think about it... Questions did not exist before language (a recent invention), nor were they necessary to exist or function as a conscious being. When? What? How? Where? Why? All questions must start with these words. A question is a tool to dig up an answer, and every answer in it's own way begs a question or series of questions. Think of "question" and "answer" like Yin and Yang. Yes, there's a black and white dot in each. One could not exist without the other. Upon zooming out, the whole circle represents Understanding. Notice that every question provides a hidden metaphysics or framework, and every answer only partially succeeds in answering. This is because inquiring can only happen within a dualistic framework of language. What's interesting though, is that inquiring done correctly can strip away context and lead you to realization of the Self. You can question the metaphysics of a question, ultimately leading you to Being (the question eating itself alive). If you question questioning enough, you drop it and enter Understanding. But more often than not, questioning tends to bury you under more layers of concept and imagination. You can only know something in terms of another thing, both of which are co-dependant inventions of the mind. It's only 'round and 'round. That's not to say it isn't USEFUL. But ask yourself this: has mankind gotten any closer to Understanding what reality actually is? From a certain perspective, yes, and from another, we've strayed farther. This force inside you to question is a manifestation of a much larger force. What I want you to understand is that this is a very low-level playing field, these questions and answers. The game is rigged. The question sets its own rules, and even going deeper, the act of questioning is tied to receiving an answer, and vice versa, changing eachother in the process. High consciousness understanding cannot occur on this playing field. Questioning is bound to duality, relativity, and other factors that if questioned would make your head explode. You must transcend.
  22. @DMM710 like you acknowledge its existence, and you drop the anxiety of having to deal with it. It's like closing a huge webpage in your browser, full of pictures and videos, that's slowing down your computer.
  23. @bensenbiz what is authentically funny to you? Don't stray from that, it's not authentic to change your sense of humor. If you're like me, then pretty much everything is funny. Everything is ultimately a meme. Even the "dark" stuff. Realize that dark humor is only "dark" relative to societal norms. Dark humor is often shunned in the wake of political correctness, which is ironic because PC culture itself is perhaps the darkest, most dystopian path of all. Never be ashamed of who you are.
