@lmfao yup. i also end up getting twisted in my mind often about how the time flows or how the perception is made like you said the word CAT in your mind is it formed all at once or formed in parts... like first the letter/sound C then A then T and then the spelling of the full thing and concept of CAT is created this flow of perception is also like the moving thru our world problem about travelling an infinte # of points to get from A to B if i start at A and then walk towards B 1st i must travel 1/2 way between A and B. call that point C before i travel to C, i must travel halfway between A and C, call that point D and so on.. to infinity in the grand scheme of this. this is also an infinite regress so it must collapse.. just a concept the HOW of it though is intriguing... what you said about infinte snapshots is the case - although it's not of TIME. it's of the entire FRAME of experience. there are infinite frames... it's all potentiality ... also. an idea i had from some insights was that the structure of reality is relative to "size" of forms for example, at the atomic level, for us. atoms come into and out of existence in a billionth of a second zoom up to our scale, same can be said... relative to the life of the sun/earth.. we pop in and out of existence in a billionth of a second and relative to the age of a galaxy, planets/stars come in/out of existence in a billionth of a second that's the main pointer to all really... relativity... the ":structure" of reality is ALL always there - infintely so.. and the light which experieince no time is the key and it is what navigates this infinte space and experieinces no time... anyhow. lots of mind talk here... but all concepts -
Posting as well as self indexing this for myself. As you know or have heard of the idea that you are not your body, mind/thoughts, senses but are the perceiver of them and thus free from the association/suffering with them. Then, if you'd like to discover yourself, here's how. As this question: Who Am I? Then wait, and allow whatever *answer* arises in your awareness. Now, whatever that *answer* was CANNOT BE and IS NOT *YOU*. The *ONE* who "saw" / "became aware" of the *answer* is who *YOU* are. Notice how "what *YOU* are" cannot be grabbed or grasped in any way... Just slips out instantly from whatever tries to grab. You are the only weighing scale in existence... Able to weigh everything but Yourself. Only *YOU* can know yourself... not in a conventional sense where there are TWO things. For example, an object which is known and a knower of that object. You can be known only via a deep knowing sense and that is self-awareness. That knowing sense is very directly accessible. When you ask the question: Am I aware? Whatever feeling/knowing your attention goes to after which there is the response *YES, I am aware* is what YOU are - self-aware. Simply that. That blank empty space of nothingness is what YOU are. In that space all vibrations of energy arise. Those vibrations are interpreted as sounds, images, tastes, senses, feelings, sensations which all combine into ONE experience. Notice how that sense of knowing isn't like anything else in your experience which only can include sights, sounds, sensations, thoughts, feeling, taste and smell. It's because That knowing sense is not an experience... That knowing sense is *YOU*.

indeed. any such infinite never ending loop of logic ultimately must collapse and it does, and when that's the case. YOU stand revealed. but very true. words alone always needs further expansion and it goes on forever metaphors / ideas come close but only the actual seeing hits the final nail in the coffin what ends the seeking is the realization... not a finding of an object in the normal sense. not sure where i read this example but it was kind of like this the light rays coming out of the flashlight is searching for it's source... but it's searching outwards. in the end, it cannot bend/flip back and point to itself to see/find itself. it cannot know itself like it knows phenomena. it knows itself by being itself. the rays of light just realize they are the source themselves. that's out dealio here except we are NOTHINGNESS -

yes. very nice indeed one way i thought about this using the mind was this.. with eyes closed, ask WHO AM I? with beginners - especially not knowing the pointing, there will be an answer in words/thoughts/feeling even... but I AM that which "awaits" the answer. The one who remains after the question WHO AM I is asked... that remains when it's answered... and remains after that too - eternally there as the background/container of ALL experience. The answer to WHO AM I is NOT me... I AM also not the answer-er, for there is no answer-er... there is only stream of thought. flowing IN ME. with this deepening in place, as you said @Antonius , just gotta bring that background to the foreground to be merged as ONE bless -

it will show YOU that you are the Author who, right up until this moment, had made the mistake of thinking he was the fictional character he gave life to himself. yes... it will kill your idea of a real character which you think exists and replace it with it's truth - that it was always just a fictional character - KNOWN by YOU and also misidentified as yourself by YOU -

@purerogue yes. YOU are not separate from that WHOLE. there are no divisions. There CANNOT BE any divisions. -
SoonHei replied to SoonHei's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
YOU never DO anything. Silent and Still YOU remain. You simply are aware and will continue to become aware forever. You are eternally aware. Just that. -
SoonHei replied to Pouya's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
let's inquire right now in 2 steps. Q1. WHO knows this story of Pouya? -then you give me your answer 2. the ONE who sees your answer (to Q1) is who YOU are. YOU can never be contained in the answer - provided that the answer is phenomenal (object - thought/words) YOU can only be recognized by YOURSELF NOTE! {YOU, ONE, WHO} as used above are not referring to @Pouya They are referring to YOU - your true silent & still eternal self. -
SoonHei replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@winterknight hmmmm Yeah. I guess i am only creating that expectation because i thought i had the glimpse but it didn't quite fit what i have hears about the glimpses .. in that, i was still there as an ego questioning that huge recontextualization of meaninglessness... Thanks for clear up -
SoonHei replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@winterknight would an enlightenment experience be equal to the falling away of ALL meaning? For example, one moment i am sitting in my room and the next moment, ALL meaning about everything in my room (objects, concepts, about myself as a human) falls away. Enlightenment is supposed to be the falling away of all concepts. The end of all meaning and concepts... So this did happen to me But that's the only problem... It happened to "me" All fell apart except for me... Maybe, as i did not know about spirituality and non-duality etc at that time. I didn't know any better than to observe or have any thoughts inquiring into WTF just happened... As Leo says, IT CAN SHOCK/TERRIFY YOU. The glimpse of the absolute. As you said in your post above, questioning or assuming what "enlightenment will feel /look like" can be a trap. I had no such expectations for when it happened to "me" . Add to this the phrase, that Nothing changes visually but it's fully recontextualized. And for me, it was the falling away of all meaning. So as i had many "I thoughts" during that state... Can that still be a glimpse which i had? I thoughts were: oh my god, what just happened? What is this? What am i? I am this animal who lives in this "house" and wears "clothes" and has a "job" All meaning was melted away from all these thoughts and concepts... Even like "wtf... I drink "water" when i am "thirsty" ... Wtf is "sex" etc.. And then before i felt like i would be trapped forever and cannot unsee any of this.. i started praying to God and reciting my religious verses to find and ask for peace, and praying before forcing myself to.sleep that when i wake up, all is normal.. and when i woke up the next day, all was again "normal" with a zing from the previous night of course As it's all ultimately meaningless, the meaning i assigned to that state was hellish instead of heaven? This very egoic SoonHei right now often hopes that if that was an enlightenment experience which i had, then when it happens again, I want to find the heaven side of the absolute no meaning. Would I. Knowing all this now, be able to catch it this way? And thinking back, it happened in an instant. I didn't bring it about. Heck i didn't know about spirituality as i do now (which i feel makes the seeking tougher actually - more concepts to let go of) -
Had a nice experience yesterday on weed. Sat down and did meditation and came to the present after I smoked one. After a while and bit of a thought process, had a powerful seeing. It felt that in the blank nothingness, all phenomena/experience appears. What I kind of saw was like this analogy. Right now we are all identified as a windchime. We chime all the time in the wind and make our sounds (words). But what we are truly cannot be communicated in any way via this body/mind. The windchime cannot chime and tell other windchimes that what we actually are is the air. Not the movement (wind) but the stillness of air all around us (which also makes Us). I drew this picture I am attaching with this post. The top frame shows an impossibility (meta-reality) just to illustrate that Reality is one. Don't be fooled by the cube depicted... Reality is boundless in all directions/dimensions. But this is an illustration of course. The bottom frame is from the POV of within that "cube" of Reality from the top frame. It shows the futility of the effort of a tiny WindChime which attempts to talk about the whole of nothingness as what we are. We get focused and lost in the sound of the windchime and miss what is being pointed to (because well, it cannot be pointed to)

SoonHei replied to Parki's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Parki it all depends Nothing really has any point At the same time, someone can have a deep experience triggered by this video/mantra Vs Someone else might 0 effect Apart from that. Main reason for mantras is really supposed to be a head-shake... The word itself is often meaningless... It's a sound afterall... If reciting a mantra in your head after a while one might become aware that he/she is simply aware of the chanting which is happening on it's own... But really, it all depends. Also depends on how much you believe in it. -
SoonHei replied to Shroomdoctor's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
but that already IS the case though everyone you know in your waking state is YOUR consciousness. including each of us here you are / are in my consciousness I am / am in your consciousness that's because there is no mine or your consciousness. there's simply just consciousness, within infinite floating aware nodes/points. (concept to illustrate) every inch, every dot, every node, the entire fabric of this construct is self aware at each point. and at each of those points, it branches out to infinitely many possibilities there is zero difference between your dream and current waking state construct - literally. just think of yourself (your true self) always as a dreamer, never in the dream world, but the entire container of the construct of the dream - and taking that a step ahead, the construct is the container is the dreamer is you. @Sockrattes -
SoonHei replied to Aakash's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
love it <3 and yes. there is no end to it. the sharpening of the mind continues without bound - there is no limit using the words only, many enlightened beings say the depth and peace just continues to deepen without end. their understanding, peace, depth just keeps growing without bound. mooji talks about this in one of his videos. also his older videos vs now, he's much more calmer (just an observation) being calmer isn't always the case of course. but yes, the deepening continues without bound -

@cetus56 I only say this because it is there. That's what is most important here. Yup. It is there, indeed. It's not nothing which isn't, But it IS. <3 -
SoonHei replied to ivankiss's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mikael89 oh yes. so with that, i suppose we are on the same page. just the words / interpretations causing the confusion. all the more reason to believe and come to realize that words will only cause more problems -
SoonHei replied to ivankiss's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mikael89 it's like @Aakash is saying. that's the anaology with which you mind can have a bit of taste of the truth... the truth which is beyond the mind. in REALITY (not the analogy), the "empty paper" IS NOT someTHING (physical or with any attribute or qualities) anyhow. don't dwell too deeply on this. it's a concept after all. simply observe your direct experience with eyes closed. you exist. as what? -
SoonHei replied to ivankiss's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Q: Why is there something rather than nothing? A: there isn't just Something or just Nothing Both exist. Simultaneously. It's like implying that you can have a drawing without a piece of paper on which it appears. Using this analogy; For Reality, the drawing is the "something" (objcets, sounds, taste, smells etc) and the piece of paper is the very fabric of Reality which is ABSOLUTE NOTHING. Not separate from it in a different place... But with it. In Union, as ONE. Nothing = EVERYTHING and lastly, where and what is this Nothing? YOU are it. You aren't your body, mind, thoughts, sounds, tastes which you experience. You are the very infinitely self-aware fabric of Reality on which experience appears. -
SoonHei replied to ivankiss's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
talking to yourself taken to the next level ? also, "Nothing" does exist as a non-object or non-thingness but you won't find it anywhere you look because YOU are it! -
Pretty Sweet

SoonHei replied to SoonHei's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Yousef LOL yes. but what is it actually? sure you can give it any name but it's comprised of two different forms we name already like whole of reality is all infinte forms as ONE - no separation just a play of what is to be the background vs foreground.
