  1. @Highest hmmm An add on question And this is the ego/SoonHei asking The presence which I am will be untouched... But with the seeing of the truth, the unsettling feelings which follow for the ego... That's a necessary process? I suppose it cannot be avoided... And must be transended... ? Awareness can continue to be detached and not care knowing it is the screen... But the ego is left on it's own with nobody to go to for help? Hmmm. In writing this what came to mind was the ego can put faith in God/awareness and ask for grace to come peacefully Bless
  2. @Joseph Maynor yup. Very beautiful. @Highest indeed brother. Team weed haha. That was during a weed high. Meditation for me during the highs brings be closer and closer to the present moment until there is just the present moment I did have some thoughts run in my head during that time about not being able to escape from myself because i am everything It is all thoughts for the ego That i will be terrified and shocked I think there is no escaping that fact for the ego It must go thru that phase and ultimately give into it. Surrender In my case, most negative thoughts were followed by the question, who is afraid. I know myself to be the watcher of the one that is afraid and this gave me some space and relaxation occured @Nahm whatever you say @How to be wise hmmm. From absolute point of view. There is just a singularity. To say that it is or isn't is a realative/dualistic POV. Yeah? @Amun god bless xhibit <3
  3. The empty chalkboard is aware in every pixel of manifest reality. And the chalkboard without writing on it is One (Spirit/God) And is there really any separation between the chalkboard and what's written/drawn on it? <3
  4. @TRzed if you place a piano infront of a 1 year old child and he just starts to press random keys here and there... it will all just be random sounds. the child does not want anything and the sounds don't mean anything same thing with the mind. it is random stream of thoughts which are bubbling up into and then out of your awareness... as you are accustomed to it, you have given the thoughts "apparent" meaning that is all. funny and amazing how this apparent meaning can still lead you to have seemingly intellectual understanding like this example here apparent meaning is very powerful and real however. just like when you're watching a movie, all you're seeing is still frames which are rapidly changing to give the illusion of movement... it is an apparent movement. nothing more
  5. @Highest thanks alas... SoonHei is the one presently saying that in my case... but this understanding has been a major step... gave me some experiences here and there I like how Paul Hedderman puts it, THAT-WHICH-YOU-ARE-NOT hears the message and starts to seek THAT-WHICH-YOU-ARE in the illusory space where YOU will never be found
  6. with technology these days, i think we approach closer and closer to being able to describe the indescribable... ultimately, it is like the speed of light... it cannot be reached by anything but you can get closer and closer the best way i understand it is when we wear a VR headset... wear it long enough, say while watching a horror video in first person of the character, you feel as if you are the character... and jump physically and react as if you were inside of that video same deal here and the futility of the seeking via ur character is illustrated nicely with this anaology it's like the character in that horror video hearing the message that "YOU ARE NOT THE PERSON" then that character is seen to be seeking, doing meditations, etc etc... yet the message "you are not the person" is for the wear-er of the VR headset... "you are not the person" also implies you were NEVER the person #MistakenIdentity101
  7. @Highest how HIGH were you ? lame puns aside... i thought you were already at the "final" step and done... is this just the description of what you are currently experiencing? was this not your living view prior to this as well... for the last few days + ? it just got reconfirmed?
  8. @Highest bless up. so eternal abode with the source... how amazing is that <3 thank you.
  9. @Highest but then Were you not always God? From that state you fell for the illusion and lived as Highest... U were on the path... And now returned to your true self... So that happened before... Why not again? I would very much like to believe/understand that - though it's all and only God. There are different points of consiousness within God .. in other words, souls lets say And once souls merge back into God. Then they become part of God forever So i suppose from your POV... the soul which was born as highest and is now self realized can never again fall for an illusion But other infinite souls will continue to be "born" and eventually... Merge back into God and then "live" out life and experience while merged into the source. In other words, as proclaimed by religious texts, heaven for eternity <3 God bless.
  10. @Highest so... i absolutely understand that you do not know what the existence may look like after death... dog.. whale... a planet... a telephone... a spider's eyebrows.. anything... in the same way you do not know which country will win the upcoming world cup or even what will happen to you tomorrow.. but, with the place from which you are watching/aware now. can that change and be reincarnated as a delusion again? can you be reborn as a human again, who again - as we all naturally do, identifies with the ego and thinks is a separate entity ? or is that part done and over for you now, for eternity? will you forever remain an audience to the play... and not be involved in the play anymore - that's essentially what I am asking as i typed this. this also struck me that the self realization/your current awake state is also a play unfolding... anyhow. i will let you answer.
  11. @Highest indeed. For sure. To you, reading this... This will be correctly read and understood: "I am talking to myself" Also, now that you have found the eternal home, what do you reckon will happen / play out before you after the passing of Highest's body/mind? I suppose... You cannot say as you're in the state of not-knowing? Still. I'd like to hear you out
  12. @Highest hmmm. interesting. and yes. absolutely ... "you" still have an ego.... you = highest, that is the ego but it is being played out for you.. all of this. that's amaizng. keep going and spreading the gems you learn.
  13. @Highest describe your path... how long did it take? and when did it finally dawn upon you... such that now you cannot "go back" to being identified with the ego... or are you not there yet and just talking about what the path sorta looks like? do describe your realization if you are already there. thanks
  14. @Highest think of ego as an extension of God I like to use the example of your pinky finger and you... your pinky finger is not YOU, but it is a part of YOU same way, the ego (body/mind) is a part of God everything is a part of GOD GOD is the sum total we are all parts of the whole <3
  15. what does this mean?@Nahm like deep forceful breaths down to the belly - this way to take mind off thinking?
  16. @Homer you are out on a field. Think of spirit as the air all around you and the sky A soul would be a soap bubble Just has a shell around it but the same Air is in it as the one around it On dead (bubble pops) it remerges with the rest of the air/spirit ever-present around it Never truly separate from it
  17. Watched a video by this dude for the first time, Paul Hedderman. He talks about the Fundamental Flaw in the video and I liked how he put it. That-Which-You-Are-Not is hearing (claiming to be the hearer) the message about That-Which-You-Are. Now, You try to arrive at That-Which-You-Are on the imaginary horse of That-Which-You-Are-Not.
  18. @Highest hmmm I see. I get that. That makes more sense. It's kind of like this... If the ego is afraid and fearful... Mistaking a wooden stick for a snake, that fear is eradicated completely after seeing the "snake" for what it is. Seeing frees up the unnecessary tensions.
  19. @Highest isn't it that you don't choose "your" reality from God/awareness's perspective? For it's all an spontaneous autonomous unfolding that you're merely a witness to?
  20. Oh but it can! @tecladocasio Does a charcter in a movie not take steps or make decisions within the plot of that movie? That's what he means If your character ends up following what's being said here, then it will change the plot accordingly What exactly is "change" ? When you got up this morning and decided to eat whatever you did, was that you "changing" anything about the movie? Or is that just what happened next? @ivankiss what have you yourself done in this regard? Any significant changes? Or a major shift?
  21. You start from the beginning. You simply admit to yourself that you exist. This is the truth. You do exist, don't you? So you say to yourself, "I exist. I know that for sure. I exist. I exist. That's all I know. I'm ignorant of everything else, but I do know that I exist because here I am." And, as you keep saying this to yourself, "I exist,” you begin to put more space between "I" and "exist." "I... exist." Say that to yourselves: "I... exist, "I... exist." If you're doing this correctly you'll soon find that “I” and "exist" are two separate words. In other words you'll come to the conclusion that you exist as I. You'll have to ask yourself, ponder, "Who is this I that exists? What is I?" You never answer. It will come to you of its own accord. When you sleep and you awaken you say, "I slept." When you dream you say, "I had a dream." And when you're awake, of course, you say, "I am awake." But that I is always there. You start to inquire within yourself, "What is this I that exists at all times? It exists when I'm asleep, when I'm awake, when I dream. Who is this I?" And now the inquiry starts. "Where does this I come from? From whence come the I?" You ask yourself. The answers are within yourself. And you keep asking yourself over, and over, and over again, "From whence come the I? Where does the I come from?" Or, "Who am I?" And you wait a little while, and you repeat the same question, "Where does the I come from?" While you're doing that, you follow the I deep, deep within. You keep following the I. You go deeper and deeper into the I. "Where does this I come from? Who is this I?" Whatever answer comes to you is the wrong answer. Do not accept it but do not deny it. You simply put it aside. And you continue with the self-inquiry. "Who am I?" And you wait. And you ask again, "Who am I?" It is not a mantra. Where did the I come from? How did it get there? Who gave it birth? What is the source of the I? You continue to abide in the I. As you continue this process someday something will happen. To some people it comes like an explosion within, where all your thoughts are wiped away. For you see, I is the first pronoun, and every thought that you have in the world is attached to the I. It is secondary. Think about that. Whatever you have to say about yourself has I in it. Everything in the world is about yourself. I am going to the movies. I am going bowling. I feel like crying. I feel terrible. I feel wonderful. I feel sick. I feel well. There's always an I, I, I. What is this I, and what is it all about? Everything is attached to the I. Subsequently, when the I is wiped out, everything else is wiped out and the troubles are over. All thoughts go with the I. Now there's no answer to "Who am I?" When you get to the answer there will be emptiness, a void. You will be of the unborn. But it is not a void like you think. It is not emptiness like you think. For want of a better word you can call it godliness, nirvana, sat-chit-ananda, bliss consciousness, absolute reality. It doesn't matter what name you give it. You will become that, and there will be no explanation. You will just become that, and you will feel a profound peace that you have never felt before. You will feel a bliss that is unqualified. You will try to explain it to yourself and to your friends, but you cannot, for the finite cannot comprehend the infinite. There are no words. That's the method you use, self-inquiry. You follow the I-thought to its source. How long does it take? It depends on yourself. How sincere you are, what else you're doing with your life. If you're using this like you do everything else... For instance, if you say, "Well today I'm going to practice the I thought, then I'm going to go to a movie, then I'm going to go bowling, then I'm going to watch TV, then tomorrow I'll do the same thing." Of course what's going to happen in a case like that? Very little, but if you put your energy into it, and you practice it every chance you get, and you put this first in your life, you will see amazing results, amazing results. But you have to put it first in your life. Think right now, what is first in your life? Don't tell me but just think. What comes first in your life? Can you take it with you when you die? Don't you see by now that you live in a world of constant change? That the only thing permanent in life is change? All facts change. Only truth is real, and truth is non-personal. You have to find it for yourself. For the sincere devotee or student they will put this first in their life, and then you will start seeing results. But if you're still worrying and fearing something, and you think other duties come first, then you've got to work on yourself. -- Robert Adams
  22. @Shin at stage 3 (self realization) isn't that full awakening? sahaja samadhi? why would they be arrogant at that stage? and you write (half-way) ... isn't self-realization the "final step?"
  23. I have had this before but yesterday, tried some new strain and ended up spending roughly 20-30 mins after smoking in hardcore uncontrollable shaking and vibration in my body. i have had this before, so i wasn't panicking from it. i usually allow this to happen as i feel this is undoing some tension in my body and opening and releasing some energy is this generally good? and should i adopt a posture which allows more of vibration to occur and happen easily? unsure if i should do yoga to amplify its effects during the high - i generally do some stretching and crack my bones... feels goord man
