  1. @Paul92 Here. Take this. Definition of God = Creator of Everything, who Himself is uncreated. He is eternal, without beginning or end. There is nobody who created God. God has always existed. After reading the above definition, if one then asks "who created God?" - do you then see what is wrong? By definition, God cannot be created because he has always existed... How can something which has always existed have a creator... There never was an instant when God did not exist.
  2. @Paul92 Absolute NOTHINGNESS, by definition is uncreated / eternal The flaw is in the question which first creates and implies there was a creator of the absolute. Absolute just is - and it is uncreated. Another way you can see the flaw of what you're asking here. If i ask you are you a male or female. To which you reply male. Then i ask you, have you ever been pregnant? The question is invalid. A yes or a no answer to that question would not be correct given what is known about you from the previous question. Or let's say somebody tells you they are right handed. And then you ask them "why are you left handed?"
  3. @cetus56 love it And that's no accident!
  4. @Anton_Pierre1111111 @Joker_Theory check out the original post by anton. It's got some good stuff.
  5. @Joker_Theory all thoughts are certainly yours... But yours = Joker_Theory's. They are pertaining to you and about you. (Joker_theory) So first YOU need to plant this in Your mind that what's being said is that YOU are not Joker_Theory... YOU are beyond the body/mind i.e. aware of it and it's actions/thoughts all of which are spontaneously occuring (however from Your current POV they seem like Your doing) and that's because they are your doing... And here once again, your = Joker_Thoery The whole issue is identification/attachment. YOU are currently very much identified with the body/mind. YOU have to come to see that YOU're not it. And once YOU see all of that which YOU are not, YOU will be left with what YOU are. By the way, read the above with the following reference: YOU = awareness = your true self = what you are seeking in enlightenment you (lowercase) = ego/Joker_Theory Also, Interest / identification / ownership is something which keeps pulling you back in. This means for example let's say that after seeing that youre the awareness of thoughts and not them yourself... You get a thought about santa claus.. or the tooth fairy.. or a thought about some cartoon show u used to watch as kid.. it will be fairly easy to remain in the place of watching as awareness with these thoughts But the ego is very sly The thougts which pull u back in hold weight and usually are thougts+feeling and thus stronger. U may have thoughts about losing your job... Or going crazy or something else... In shorts. Thoughts which you cannot just easily ignore... So u get pulled back into the identification and don't even notice when it happens... Because those thoughts seem so close.. so intimate to what you currently are identified with and are unable to just ignore or let go. Notice that these are simply thoughts at the end of the day but they have the capacity to pull you back into the illusion.
  6. @Joker_Theory and otherwise to answer your question in the other way (assuming you're new to this) try to watch your thoughts and notice how you have no idea what your next thought will be. Also notice that your thoughts are simply thinking/occuring themselves For this. Sit silently in a quite place where the only distraction is your thoughts . And then take a seat and watch them. After a while, u will start to see ur thoughts as separate from you... Almost like hearing a sound like u would hear a birds chirp. You know u haven't caused it but are aware of it
  7. @Joker_Theory "how" has no answer really... What you're "looking for" is recognition/noticing only. You asking the how in this case is like asking this: How does a person, who is searching for his glasses and is wearing them the whole time without realizing it, find his glasses? When you tell me the how in this case, i will tell you the how for your question
  8. @Pouya Same here. I also love science. If anything, some of this work cleared up some Concepts and took me more in depth to the nature of the construct of the universe i.e. the direction quantum mechanics is headed... But isnt main stream as yet And about being distant from Science... That's all it is... As you say so yourself... "An assumption" For all you know. U can have a deep insight which can pave way for the next breakthrough to take us from the material to non-material paradigm in science (on a globally accepted scale) So dont stop because of that. That's just fear. Sure. Having an existential crisis or questions from awakening is a different ball game. Also. Check out Thomas Campbell... This work took him to full depths of advancing and understanding the nature of universe and beyond. He understands it from a scientific perspective. Not entirely aware of no-self... But that's an example of deepening of understanding from this work
  9. @Pouya Your question worded another way = can an actor who can play any possible role, play the role of a scientist? In short, yes. An enlightened person can be anyone ... And as @Shiva said, a murderer... Etc etc. How's this... An enlightened terrorist? Oh yes.
  10. @DecemberFlower yes. Agreed. It is very clear during "non-dual Experience" And that's the issue right there DecemberFlower thinking that the understanding appears only during "non-dual" Experience. Because as soon as that changes, the understanding is foggy again. There needs to be a total clear seeing 24/7 for it to be complete
  11. How? Let's get there halfway first. Can the actor playing the bad guy in a movie really/truly be angry at his co-star in the hero's role? or can he question the fairness of the plot of the movie and about why HE is the bad guy and not the good guy? No! Lol He is playing the bad guy... Auditioned for and got that role beating other would-be bad guys. But sure... He may still envy the good guy... Maybe he didn't have the looks/six pack or whatever else was needed to be able to Play / audition for the good guy role... So he may hold a grudge against his co-star or be sad/depressed about himself being the way he is... Now let's get a little more than half way. What if this movie has the same actor Playing a double role... He is both the good and the bad guy in the movie... (plot involving Twin roles for example) Now. In this case. Can he truly be angry / sad / question fairness about why he is not the good guy when playing the bad guy and about not being the bad guy when playing the good guy? Double NO! LOL because he is both of them!!! Now let's go all the way. Truly. He can still be sad/hold grudge against his other co-stars... Right? Not if he is playing those parts too! Common example to relate in this day and age... Youtubers. Many of whom have series in which they play different characters themselves. Playing the mother, father, kids, whatever else role. But all by themselves... Now you're home. And now, Welcome to Life. Where all is beyond fair and perfect. Where God is the only actor playing each and every role by himself. Where when a cripple suffers when looking at others who aren't crippled does so due to his not knowing of the truth that he is also "others" And so on... The killer and the killed, what is unfair? It's being done to yourself by yourself. The rich and poor. And so on. All distinctions are annihilated in the seeing that there isn't anything distinct there to have real distinctions in the first place
  12. @DecemberFlower yes... As you may have heard it is a deconstruction process... The snake/rope is an analogy at best. Clearly It's not very black and white with the real deal... It's like washing off a mark/dirt on your clothing... Depending on how deep the mark/dirt is in the fabric u may need to rinse it once or twice or multiple times... In this case, falling back to sleep = forgetting your true nature... And that happens only if one is not certain beyond any doubt of their true nature. Using the snake/rope... It's like... U see the rope but aren't yet 100% sure it is a rope ... And are afraid it maybe a snake (or doubting yourself) so you're still afraid to get near/touch/hold the rope... Until you absolutely 100% confirm that it is a rope and always was. Then, no more "sleeping"
  13. @DecemberFlower sometimes one glimpse is enough and sometimes 100 glimpses aren't enough. There is no set way. It is case by case basis. Depending on the person and many other factors (infinte factors really ) It's like asking why is the boiling point of water 100°C and boiling point of iron 2862°C It is. What it is - based on the substance/person/energy.
  14. @Jkris Recall the analogy of an actor lost in his role. When the actor realizes he isn't the character he is portraying in the movie, does anything change for him? Also. Physicial/visual field is what's being highlighted... Often the ego in anticipation of enlightenment expects some huge mystical experience (possible) but can be calm quick moment... And then chop wood and carry water
  15. For those who haven't gotten the simplicity aspect and may want to get a taste... Imagine what it would look like if I told you simply that all your body's actions and also your thoughts were happening on their own. That you are not doing any of it. Note: This means nothing physically changes in your filed of vision. So now just "imagine" what would you then be? If not the do-er of any actions or thinker of any thoughts... Pretend to stand and watch from this awareness... Watch for that enlightenment because it's close now. This enlightenment you have heard of... This concept which came into your awareness at some point in your life and you chose to pursue it. You have been looking for it eagerly since then... Looking for what exactly? You know there is no physical/visual change which will occur... And then you also remember another teaching: You remember the teaching and The teaching says, there is nothing to understand, there is nothing to get... Now from that pretend place of watching from the vantage point of someone who knows that what appears before him is not his doing and not his thoughts, simply get that There is nothing to understand or get What then are you waiting for??
  16. Also, shout out to Einstein for them Thought experiments
  17. @Hima Izumi @Preetom @Hima Izumi @Hima Izumi Hey Funny enough, both a yes or a no answer to your question will be paradoxical But in simple terms. No. "Not yet"
  18. Yes. That voice. That reasoning. That part which you consider most near and dear to you... That part must disappear... This means that as One comes closer and closer to God, he let's go of worldly pleasures (in that, is not affected on a deeper/truer level). It doesn't mean that if you like video games you need to stop that (it can still help to have less distractions). It just means being not interested in the content (story) of your experience. Just being aware of being aware as Rupert Spira puts it so elegantly. In any case. The final part to go is your very self, your human identity which you consider yourself to be. Don't worry, your human self/mind will still be alive but you will have the conviction of your place and its place. And it certainly cannot be where you are For you are its and everything else's container.
  19. @Leo Gura <3 Indeed. Those vertical lines exist only in the mind. I love your "cat unraveling a yarn which inturn unravels the cat"
  20. Its like: Try seeing the space, in between your eyes and the wall or whatever object you are looking at, as behind your visual field. The space in between, appearing behind the object/whatever you're looking at. I think shin zen mentioned this as an arrow thru the Reality? From yourself to yourself and the universe in between...
