  1. Spiritual doubt is what's happening
  2. the spontaneous and intelligent stream of thoughts is simply and constantly/always known: (example of stream of thought below) hmmm, do I have free will or not? well, I can lift up my arm whenever I want... i will lift my arm when I count to 4 in my head 1, 2, 3 ... FOUR * lifts arm on 4* see... I have free will. i said what I will do and then I did that exactly when I said I would okay.. another test... i will say hello when I count to 6... 1, 2, 3, 4.. hmmm.. actually, i also have free will to change my mind.. I will actually say hello when I count to 8.... so where was I .. oh yes.. 4, 5, ... SIX (not gonna say hello ) ... 7.. EIGHT *says hello* now based on the above... hard to argue and debate that there isn't a free will... (for that person/thinker's perspective... BECAUSE from that perspective, there actually IS free will - which from the LARGER perspective is only an apparent free will) With a thought process like that... first decided to lift arm at 4 and did just that then decided to say hello after when counting to 6... then changed it mid-way to counting to 8 and then saying it... hmmmm... BUT is that really what's going on there? the first part is telling us.. that the thought stream is just flowing.. on it's own. it includes within it, thoughts which imply a thinker of them.. self referential thoughts... the "I" thoughts... free will.. hmmm.. it will be nice to see/observe from where is the decision made to count to 4.. or 6... and 8.. etc and either lift arm... or say hello. or some other word was there free will in deciding that after counting to 4.. the person should lift their right foot instead.. or snap their finger.. or blink twice.. or whatever else? why lift their hand? the more closely you investigate WHY the lift the arm was chosen.. or to say the word hello the more you will come to see that a decider/chooser cannot be found... (because there isn't one!) ... a decider who has a list of things to select from and say... because really, the list would be infinite... there are an infinite # of things which could have been done after counting to 4.. but the thought stream which flows on it's own "selected" the act of lifting the arm... vs anything else... we cannot explain or find WHY... the thinker/ego will say... well, i chose to say it... yes... but WHY THE ARM... and he might say... well, that's just what came to my mind ... (exactly... what to say or not say.. or choose or not choose.. simply comes to mind ... just like when we have all had those moments where we are thinking about something... and then say... IDEA! ) what is that but yet just another thought which appears in your mind... it just has a label/feeling of IDEA attached to it no free will.. apparent free will.. like a book/movie plot written out , with seeming choices
  3. @Truth Addict love it also: the ONE who thinks that he does or does not have free will... that ONE, is a thought! "The Thinker" is the thought. There isn't an entity who is the THINKER... and then that THINKER thinks a thought. The thinking of all thoughts thunk by the thinker is ONE Movement. different frames on a film reel coming into being when the light shines upon it - giving it "life" / existence. when the above is grasped, brix are shat and liberation is tasted.
  4. @zeroISinfinity that's certainly the case in this real world here that's why above, at best, is an analogy reality is a book which wrote itself, using itself, it is, itself all the characters and the construct of the world within the book, and it is aware of itself as the whole and all of it's seeming parts. as leo says, reality is a self-licking ice-cream cone and the cone is made out of itself.
  5. this is what's happening@GreenWoods analogies can help you get a better understanding God = Author of a Book = reader/writer of the book = for example JK Rowling You = Character in that Book = for example Harry Potter From Harry Potter's point of view, he has free will. he chooses to do this/that whatever. he chooses to say/think this/that etc... so on. From the point of view of a reader, it is known that the entire plot (with all the choices for all characters including Harry Potter) is pre-determined... and no matter what seeming "choices" that harry potter makes within the story... the story as a whole (including those choices) was already written. so the answer to your free will vs no free will = depends on which POV you are looking from. POV of someone within the plot of book = they have free will POV of someone reading the book / author = the characters do not have free will @GreenWoods does not have free will in reality but within in this plot/life/world, you have an apparent free will. just like in Harry Potter's experience, he would be certain he has free will ... but we know it is "apparent" also. come to see that @GreenWoods cannot SEE the fact that he has no free will. just like Harry Potter cannot SEE the fact that he does not exist... and what gives him "life" is the reader, reading the book. Can Harry Potter ever know his author? no because there is no REAL harry potter other than in the plot of that book.
  6. @inFlow the questions form and appear in the answer
  7. @Anton_Pierre xoxoxoxo love this thread
  8. i was looking for myself atop mountains and in valleys i searched every inch, all pixels of reality then it struck my like a lightening bolt brought me to my senses with an electrical bolt ohm it screamed, no resistance to the volt - no revolt i opened my eyes and found myself, never to lose or forget i realized that I could not remember because I never ever forgot
  9. @Anton_Pierre I see thru my eyes all the old truths which now seem like lies no point in saying farewell or saying good-bye there's no me here, there's just Life
  10. @Inliytened1 there can be the asking of this question even when One is awake
  11. i'm by no means "there" yet lol - speaking as SoonHei of course... but that's the deal... before enlightement chop wood/carry.. after... the same.. in other words, the human/body+mind you will continue to do his thing... play out his part but the REAL YOU will KNOW and BE in the place where you have never left... unsure if i am asking what you were wanting to know... but there's that. for me, it has been the embodiment of the understanding that i am not the body+mind, that there are no others, all is one etc etc... i feel uncondtional love for everyone i see on the street. as a result i have started to help many people.. giving cheer-up notes with small $$ in it.. etc etc.. not getting angry and others with the knowing that they are doing/saying exactly what they are conditioned/destined to do.. so sure, i can disagree with them... but it's from the viewpoint of "agree to disagree" Live, and let live <3 find your peace. also stareted sharing the message to fellow friends family. see my instagram in my signature
  12. @Aakash same thing here brother. for me, what cleared up some of the things is to ask, right this moment, to yourself... who clearly is looking for enlightenment? is it Aakash? looking back at the last 2 days even, who is constantly thinking about practices, being mindful etc etc... has this become an obsession for aakash just like maybe video games, movies, girls or whatever else might have been an obsession at one point when i did this for myself, what i saw put an end to a lot of the seeking... it was seen that from the very basic teaching it says SoonHei/Aakash will not get enlightened... and here I am, very much identified with and living as SoonHei/Aakash and he is looking for this thing which I KNOW cannot be found by him. not saying that this right here is the KEY for you. just sharing what helped cleared up some things for me. this guy, paul hedderman makes non-duality videos on youtube. i like this one line he says: THAT-WHICH-YOU-ARE-NOT is hearing (claims to be the hear-er) the message about THAT-WHICH-YOU-ARE. Now, what YOU are "doing" here is trying to arrive at THAT-WHICH-YOU-ARE on the imaginary horse of THAT-WHICH-YOU-ARE-NOT.
  13. @Aakash brother. from what we have learned thus far. we know enlightenment is beyond a "how" or "does this work" 3 hours a day might be too much or too little it all depends - there is no black and white answer just like the directions back to your home ALWAYS depend on where you are in the city. the directions are always FROM that location. so we cannot know whether 3 hours a day is what you need... maybe 3 hours a day takes you further away from your home/goal.
  14. @Inliytened1 beautiful written ^^^ also: what gets me is that during our nightly dreams... i keep wanting and hoping that a thought comes to mind during the dream state "am I dreaming or not?" and then i would do one of the reality checks... like counting fingers or what not etc etc... yet here right now in this waking state - which I know to be also another dream (more solid/stable) but what reality check can i do here in order to shake it up and awaken from the dream of life? gotta wait for that grace to dawn pon me <3
  15. is the statement "nothing ever happeneded" a consequence/linked with the fact that "reality is both real and unreal" like a dream at night... it never happeneed... but it also did?
  16. heads and tails left and right up and down right and wrong all labels ^^^^ the actuality is singular. no such thing as heads, tails, left, right, up, down, right, wrong.
  17. @Natasha indeed though - it still is "happening" what you are saying i believe is to illustrate and cancel out what happening implies... which means it is taking place in year 2019.. and in time... and that isn't the case this is outside of time and place... it is in the NOW... right the next moment .. what appears before me can shift and i can be in year 40,000 BC.. (won't just happen out of the blue - but that is what a hologram means) as it is said... there is no real life/waking.. there is only dreaming... eternal dreaming/knowing . @Mu_ yes. words can be powerful when understood - i feel we discount the words too easily sometimes... then again, words are only as powerful as the one who is hearing them and their ability and level of awareness to grasp what is being said i.e. teaching e=mc^2 and quantam mechanics to a bunch of grade 2 kids is just words/sounds same for spirtualiaty/non-duality must have tasted the nector once to know what is meant by said words.
  18. @Mu_ god bless yer soul sir thanks for taking me on that ride with them words. in my experience, the understanding keeps deepening... even at intellectual level and each more than the last the same thing gets redeinfed further in depth and it seems like this is quite deep and then the next time it is shown/understood deeper still and this is without any mushrooms/lsd/dmt or a supernatural experience even... barring 1 experinece where all labels/meaning dropped - but was still in the room. i dont think all of that is required. no fireworks so to speak. just a very deep peace of mind and silence would mean the seeking has ended. and yes. what you are trying to show there with words i get that quite deeply.. like a hologram constaly morphing and changing.. an infinte block of consiouness cube extending in all directions/dimensions and constantly "changing" and being 1 state to the next but ofcourse the whole already being itself eternally and entirely
  19. @Inliytened1 love it why do we (or the mind) keep creating new paths and always just keep circling back to the same already understood ideas... gotta keep beating the dead horse... i guess this mind of mine shall crack soon. not many things left for it to figure out. the fuel is almost dry. says the mind
  20. @Inliytened1 to close off the matter for this mind of mine would it be fair to say existence (content on the screen) and non-existence (screen) ?
  21. The TV is simply always on. The ego thinks that it needs to be showing beautiful colors, landscapes, flowers etc and that would be enlightenment... but how can that be that the case? the tracings say enlightenment is always the case. this means, no matter what is being displayed on the TV, enlightenment / truth is always present. this means it is beyond the content being displayed and is simply whatever is currently appearing - and whatever is currently appearing is one/intimate with the screen... (whatever is currently appearing IS the screen) since non-duality: if A (whatever is happening) = B (screen) there really is no distinction other than the label we give it. it is ONE. Being. WHAT IS - prior to any labels / abstractions. and if there are abstractions/label that is also WHAT IS "talking about what's happening is what's happening" enlightenment is the recognition that one is the TV screen and not exclusively the content/story appearing on the screen. ONE IS ALL and ALL IS ONE.
  22. @Jkris no need to remove the one who asks to remove is part of the experience enlightenment (what you seek) isn't a process in time. it is instantaneous it is a recognition if you think that to be enlightened you must remove all those from experience. that is not so... you must simply not be attached to the thoughts and that takes away the power you give to them you do this by knowing that the thoughts are not you - they appear in you like a bird's chirp. you hear it. in one ear and out the other. doesn't bother you. you hear it and aren't affected by it when you can hear your thoughts the same way you hear the bird's chirp. you will have found your eternal home. and of course, the one reading this and thinking I WILL FIND THE ETERNAL HOME or START TO HEAR MY THOUGHTS - will not find the home or hear his thoughts. for he is the thought itself. only the reader of the book can realize that he is outside of the world created in the book. the character in the world/book cannot escape it.
  23. take out the what you know to be as the know-er / experiencer of the present moment and what do you have? notice how the know-er / experiencer ONLY exists / comes to light with the thought/thinking that there is a experiencer / know-er. just BE
