Being a hard worker is now doubt a respectable thing. But, i am scared i would be one of those workaholics who can't see the world as it is and are actually worsening the work they do. I'm not one to argue about productivity and innovation, but i feel like people cannot be creative when they are workaholics. See for example, leonardo da vinci who procrastinated so many times. But many workaholics think he is a procrastinator, but to me he is not. He is actually a really contemplative person. That is why he can take 7 hours doing nothing but just staring at his painting, ruminating about whether or not he should brush a stroke or not on a particular area. I see this many times with Chinese and Koreans. They think they work hard and get good grades and shit, but they don't know an inkling about innovation and creativity. And they think if they manage things well into systems, people will automatically be smart and intelligent. You might say, the biggest copy heads exist in korea and china, So, be careful of idolizing workaholics. It ain't pretty all the time. Don't get me wrong, working hard is indeed important, and Tony Parker told me once in person all he thinks about when playing basketball and success is to just "work hard". But you gotta understand what working hard really is. All those people working on garbage trucks work hard. Military officers in war work harder. But is it smart though? You gotta think before you act right? Immigrants can make that mistake lol

@Ruslankungrufu this is my specialty, although not very ept in gaming people. One piece of advice from a fellow novice, be loose. Its not about gaining more knowledge by reading self help books or somebody. Its about releasing knowledge out of your system so you can be more fun and not too logical. Try to give the other person more fun than trying to take something from them. Really think deep about what makes people have a good time when they would socialize with you. Go out and watch and observe people in your life who are popular (in a good way) and who really make people love themselves and laugh. And try to emulate those peoples vibes and energy. Because social interaction is not about words... its about vibes. I can say this because im very good at making friends. And really try to be a good person at heart. Deeply be a nice guy, and people sense that off of you, even though they might not right away, but when they do , they will try to be friends with yiu cause you are geniunely trying to help them. I read once about a chinese emperor, when he was in high school, he was such a popular guy and he loved going to bars and meeting women, wearinv awesome clothes, riding horses when he himself was a poor bastard (he actually didnt know who his father was), but he was able to recruit talents to join his cause because since his school years, people loved him because he really wanted to do best for his friends and people and he never looked down on people just because they were unpopular or poor or had low social status. Right now he is the most popular emperor known in whole of vietnam korea japana and china. You wanna be like that emperor, and not be hypocritical about being non judgemental

@Leo Gura thanks, got some more perspective now. All i need now is some more balls than knowledge.

@Preety_India yeah, those Juran's eyes are intense

It's rare to see people who not only have ambitious goals in their lives, but also are really passionate about their goals. I am hardly able to find in my life anyone who are like this (maybe once or in a year), so, when I finally do meet people like this, I feel alive and not alone. As I became interested in business and learning leadership, I came upon a video where Jobs was praising how much he admired a man called Joseph Juran. I do not know who he was, but when Jobs explained what kind of person he was - go watch the video above - I immediately understood what he was trying to draw upon. I, then, went to see a video of Joseph Juran teaching on his ideas about leadership and management, and, to my surprise, I could feel in his eyes the intensity, focus, and drive that Jobs was talking about earlier. That look also reminded me of the first time when I watched one of Leo's videos, when I could see the flash in his eyes really wanting to give value to something, somebody, or some existence - whatever it was. I'm talking about this, because RSD Tyler once eluded to how essential energy and vibes are when interacting with people. Initially, I thought of life and social interactions in a totally logical sense, but boy was I wrong. There are of course certain vibes different people give out, and, I realized, if I want to recruit talent into my life, I need to take into account the energy, their pupils, people's vibes as crucial data in judging people's character. I think I know certain people I subscribe to who are like this. Just as Jobs had said, what really separates certain people from the masses is how much sacrifice and devotion they put into that one path they are treading upon. I'm not saying you should be devoted to one path because life is broad and there are many different ways people can trod upon. I'm just saying, there is a beautiful energy that exists with people who treads on the 'one path' like Joseph Juran. Watching this video made me feel a little better about myself, because, at least, I have that one path in my life. Maybe, I could be one of those people who really give value to people.

I don't have a healthy mindset for maintaining health. Any little thing.... I feel like my body will crumble. Michael Angelo had been famous for scoffing at Leonardo Da Vinci's health anxious attitude, yet he was able to live longer and healthier than Leonardo. I often feel like people around me who don't mind their bodies often are healthier than people who are so concerned about their health. Although, I think like this, I am still a hypochondriac. I'm confused whether or not a symptom is real or unreal. Any sort of worry about health seems to be the first step towards hypochondria as I reflect deeply in myself, because worry won't help anyone cure their symptoms, would it? 1. What are your mindsets in maintaining good health (are you in good health?) 2. If you had experience exaggerating your symptoms unwillingly, how did you cure it?

@LordFall thanks for the feedback. Not to be rude, can you briefly talk about what he teaches you online? I am a novice, like you said, and i just wanna tread the waters of his course before diving into it

I'm really interested in marketing and business. I'd like to learn something from Tyler. I know he is a pick up guy. I'm a fucking novice in business, but I'd like to understand it at least. I read some Seth Godin's books, but that's all. Do you recommend watching Owen's course on marketing
-
@mandyjw Yeah. I think i got my first hypochondriac thoughts when i quit one of the goals I had for myself. I went into a downward spiral for years because I did not have a direction, and those were the years when my hypochondria was out of control. I do have a goal now. And I have to tell you the goal isn't very superficial either. I had thought over it and contemplated over it before setting it up, yet I cannot say my base problem has been solved. I can't say for sure, but I feel if I give up on the goal now, I would immediately go back into that downward spiral. But i think, taking your advice, really going deep into myself and knowing who i am is the best course to go. Because if I'm grounded in myself, I will be able to forget the trivia and stop being so paranoid. But is finding out who i am in the truest sense of the word an easy task? Hehe, fuck me, i wanna kill myself.

Tyler Durden keeps talking about being present. Being non needy. But how can having clear intent on wanting to get the girl, also bring about freedom of outcome? Leo, also talks about this.... have intent but non needy. Tyler durden answered this by saying. I don't care. I just do it, because it;s so fun. Is this my problem for trying to answer this question too logically? Am I too in my head thinking about this? Sorry for being so confused and dumb...............................

@mandyjw yo. I'm gonna read the shit out of this post and take the advice. Any more about your hypochondria? Thanks

@Leo Gura At least, I am going out a lot. Coronoa ain't helping me though. After many nights out, for 2 months, I couldn't go out. Starting out now trying to get my day game in order, and try to find guy friends to do night game with. Thanks.

this book reading it, made me start pick up again. I was kind of sick of pick up, and then i read this book, and decided to do pick up hardcore. Doing pick up made me realize, these guys were way more positive and cool than most people. Especially for scientists like feynman. If you are not a business man who can earn a lot of money yourself and be a boss.

You know, enlightened people say sages don't plan things. To me, this is referring to how our inner dimension works. For example, with a business plan, programming something, systematizing something, going to war and strategizing, one needs to set goals however free you are from a goal-oriented mind. I've felt this dichotomy to be stretched most when reading two books. one is from Sun Tzu, art of war, and the other is Miyamato Musashi's the book of five rings. They both say in summary systemizing is the essence of war, discipline, strategy, planning, concentration is the essence, yet one must maintain a flexible, almost like air be empty in dueling the other whether it is one on one, or thousands against thousands. One quote particularly strikes me, "just like our guitar has only 4 strings to play with, in war, there are certain rules, formations, orders that need to be followed to lead troops in to battle, and yet with just 4 strings, the guitar is able to play myriad amounts of musical pieces and make the listener delighted. This goes same with orders in war, where with a few rules followed, myriad amounts of ways are trodden to lead the general and his army to victory. my question to you: How do you balance goal setting, and meditation?

Leo to me is a good meta source provider. OSHO seems to be not only a spiritual man, but also intellectually superior than anybody I've seen. I know some others but they don't speak english... lol so you guys cannot understand that guy. Krishnamurti is good, but he completely rejects the mind so no information can be taken out of him. Lex fridman, Joe rogan, Firas Zahabi (martial art coach) are people who give out valuable sources to a lot of people including myself. Who are your favorite meta sources? Any categories like science, martial arts, arts, painting.... all are welcome. All I care about is how much wisdom and experience they have in their field. And how much care they have for what they do and their customers.

It seems funny. When people try to develop themselves to be kinder and noble, others applaud for the kinds of effort. Such as being a monk, a priest, going to church, reading philosophy. But when people read about success and study success, people seem to regard such topics claiming to bring success to the reader to be fraudulent. I don't know if this is just me, do you guys feel this? When reading classical history books, many historians I've read were very self help oriented. For instance, some write about historical accounts that will give the reader wisdom about how leadership should be. Or, some writes about what kind of person in history is able to win wars against factions. Some say you need to be kind like person (x), some say you need to be cruel like person (y). Why do you think people around me criticize the self help circles?

All are serial killers. The only difference seems to me is that the kings were doing it legally, while dahmer was doing it illegally. But why do we somewhat even give an inch of admiration to the tactics and strategies these warlords have acted on but discounted the amazing strategies and tactics Dahmer killed all those people without getting caught by the police. We tell ourselves we can learn much from Napolean and genghis khan about the ways of war politics and life, why not jeffery dahmer? As far as i know, Jeffery Dahmer killed 17 people. Genghis Khan killed much more. Napoleon also killed much more. I mean...... much much much more. Was Jefferey Dahmer supposed to have been born a little earlier? Then he would have been called the greatest war strategist of all time? LOL Lex talking about how he thinks whether to respect od disrespect genghis khan Fucking crazy ass serial killer dahmer being all nicey nicey about what he did This confuses me about how peoples psychology is currently.

I don't know if you know Bill Burr. Listen to Bill Burr's monday morning podcasts. And also, you can search on youtube of what Bill Burr thinks what one needs to have in order to succeed. He comments also on how a stand up could be a ble to succeed. One thing that goes deep into me is that he says he tries not to think too many thoughts in his stand up. And not be too emotional. Basically, he's very zen about it. And he literally said that he goes for being zen when he does stand up. Ironically, Bill Burr bashes on self help a lot (to make fun). Anyways, not only is the guy fucking hilarious, (and I think he has a lot of hurt from his childhood listening to his stories, he self admittedly says he didn't have a nice childhood), he is intelligent and truly loves his audiences. I urge you listen to his advice on stand up or widely how he percieves how success comes through youtube videos.

@Harikrishnan Yeah, that's true.... But still, I don't think OSHO would be a person easily manipulated by his surroundings. I don't think he would be so antagonistic to politicians for the sole reason that indian politicians are very corrupt. Seems to me, he was criticizing the politicians as a whole, not only indians, if you ask me. -
OSHO recommended Chuang Tzu's parables in his books list in his 9th best or 10th, I don't know. But reading Chuang Tzu's parables. I could see why OSHO shit on politics repetitively and cruelly. OSHO emphasizes how he thinks anyone who delves into politics is a piece of shit guy. In fact, Chuang Tzu's parables talks about politics a lot ironically, but if you really read the book carefully, more than any other book, I could see every word in Chuang Tzu's mouth has been similar or at least inspired OSHO's vision of the world. I was so curious why OSHO hated politicians so much and even thought that it was OSHO's fault for being too harsh... that maybe he brought it all to himself. Anyways, if any of you guys were curious why OSHO shit on politicians so much like me, go and read Chuang Tzu's parables. I swear the book isn't about shitting on politicians, but not only is it trying to help anyone reading it, but it helps people who are leaders who be better governors and managers. And in getting better in leading and governing, he talks about certain mindsets needed to adopt it (or not try to adopt any of it if it makes sense ) Book recommendation for politics, but also if you want to understand where OSHO is coming from : Chuang Tzu's parables. Oh adding to this, I think I understand why OSHO while representing his commune, why he didn't do anything and let Sheela do everything. Was it good leadership? Or was it bad leadership? Personally, I cannot say what is better or worse. But what i can vouch for is how maybe Chuang Tzu's way of leadership may have inspired OSHO to do nothing and not meddle into the affairs of Rajneesh Ashram.

@Husseinisdoingfine never be eliminated? only thing that will stop this monopoly is by force? I don't know if you have ever read about machievelli or legalism. Many leaders adopted legalism (a thought that people can only be forced by reward and punishment by law in order to encourage them to do the 'right thing') such as emperor Qin, Shang Yang and they all had bitter ends. Though, it is quite true men are selfish to the very end, there are much faults in what you are saying, because history tells us when leaders force their people with only law, only reward and punishment people will rebel and be unhappy. In other words, a little bit of 'love' is needed. The only question is, how is one to 'love' the people. Confucianists and Taoists agree on this point, but they differ in the way they should 'love' the people. But that's a different subject matter to discuss. Take account famous general called Wu Qi or Sima Yang who were extremely legalistic, tried to force people to do the right thing, and they met bitter ends. Though they were right in enacting certain diplomacies and laws, the 'way' in which they did it was in a hurry, without patience, and too cruel. That is the flawed nature of forcing people to do the right thing. And that is what Confucianism and Taoism had a problem with. And just because you think nature set people up this way (being selfish), are you going to then give up on it? Why not fight with nature? Just because the universe set the world to be a mess like it is right now... are you going to just let it burn? What kind of person are you? Reading the things you have said, it just discredited yourself at this point. What if it's your mother you are talking about? Your own village? Your own town's people who are in that mess, ripping each other apart? What if it's yourself? It's so irresponsible to think that way. "NATURE SET IT THIS WAY, AND WE CANNOT DO A THING ABOUT IT" While you have discredited OSHO, i had no problem with it. I am in no position to say OSHO's leadership was good in any way, and I have never said that on the post. I was just saying, I realize why OSHO may have been like that with his rajneesh ashram while reading Chuang Tzu's parables. I have never said OSHO did the 'right thing' . And you are right, OSHO was an anarchist. So was Chuang Tzu. That's why I'm asking people to check out Chuang Tzu if you want to understand what OSHO was trying to do with regards to leadership and governing people. You immediately understand why OSHO might have not meddled into the affairs of the ashram and let his secretaries do all the hard work . Yet, you are saying as if anarchism as a whole is bullshit like a simpleton. As if the world can be set in order if all anarchists are eliminated and people all only vouch for communists. That is what Communism is. A social structure to control people into doing good. Your solution is to control people. Nothing gets more simpleton than that. Read what the anarchists have to say and then argue your point, don't be closed minded. Their thoughts about anarchism is different from any other anarchists you think about. -
I have realized recently that Leo has been talking about politics a lot. I never knew there were sages in the past that talked about politics at all. I thought they hated politicians and wanted to stay away from it as far as possible. But maybe I was wrong. Though it is quite true that sages and enlightened people tried to stay away from politics, they did not completely deny talking about it too. In the warring states period when Sun Tzu had lived, right before Emperor Chin had united China and created the first empire, these warlords vouched for power in the realm and they realized rather quickly that war was not the only way to dominate the world. They realized right leadership, government, right treatment, and the support from the people were main driving forces to dominate and realize their dreams of becoming emperor. Because of that, Confucius rose to fame. Legalism rose to fame. But weirdly Taoism had also been adopted as a school of thought. We think Taoism is just a life philosophy, though it may be true, most Chinese leaders thought of Confucianism, Taoism, and Legalism as like self help books of how one should govern their country and make their land prosperous and rich. I on one hand thought Taoism had no relation to politics, but it does! I've read Dao De jing and now I'm reading Chuang Tzu's parables and Confucius's writings of the history of spring and autumn annals, and Sima Qian's History book. And by far, Confucius is just plain rubbish to my eyes, and you can see that reading Chuang Tzu's parables making fun of how stupid and confused Confucius is about. However, I won't tell anyone interested in delving into politics to not read Confucius. Though he is just any other philosopher, he did seriously think about politics and leadership. And many kings inspired by Confucius were able to govern a good country. Added Book recommendations for people interested in politics that you may have not known 1, Book of Han Fei Zi (about legalism - inspired by taoism and repelled by confucianis's thoughts, he heavily criticizes the ways of mannerisms and hierarchies confucius talks about. He truly believes people are so conditioned by their reptilian mind that only law, reward and punishment is the way to inspire people to attain order in life. Emperor Qin loved Han Fei Zi's thought and started implementing legalist's ideas in his country. Killed many many confucius scholars. Many people critisize Legalism because although their ideas are true, it can propogate much hate and anger throughout the people. Han Fei zi is like the machiavelli of china 2000 years ago.) ***** second favorite 2. Shiji - by Sima Qian - (A record of awesome parables that will make you think about what right leadership is but also how one should live one's life. Sima Qian once asked his Emperor not to be so cruel to one of his friends but he got punished for being so direct. The punishment was to get his balls cut off. Sima qian respects both legalism, Taoism, and Confucianism and asks the reader to decide himself what leadership is the best to govern the country. He accounts people who followed various routes of governship, records their deeds and faults, so we can decide ourselves who is best. He doesn't answer for us) 3. Dao De Jing - Various accounts of why Lao Tzu wrote this, but the prominent one is this. He decided to go to the mountains to live by himself. One policeman asked him to write his wisdom or he will not let him go. Lao Tzu does. I say read this as a person who is interested in politics mainly because Chuang Tzu was a disciple of Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu talked about politics a lot. **** My favorite4. Chuang Tzu's parables - Chuang Tzu is the epidemy of a guy who supports governship through nature, through Tao if you will name it that way. (WTF?) It seems impossible, but if you read the texts you will just nod and nod to his words. But after you go on with your day, you realize how impossible it is to achieve the vision he has. But you eventually realize that is the only answer to right govern ship. I could see where OSHO got a lot of inspiration from while reading this book. And i realized why OSHO kept shitting on Politicians (a little to harshly than they might deserve), but he sometimes praised many ancient kings and emperors in the past, now I know why he was that way. Chuang Tzu is like a rebel. He mocks Confucius so bad that I feel confucius scholars would cry if they read his book because it's so true. The reason I keep talking about Chuang Tzu is because you realize how fucking genius he is the more you know about eastern philosophy. You realize how courageous and how much big balls he had to talk about what he did at the time. If anybody talks about Chuang Tzu in China or Korea, people would fucking slaughter him. Americans would just think he's a little crazy. But anyways, it amazes me that a guy 2000 years ago can have such big pair of balls against so many savages then. 5. Confucius spring and autumn annals 6. Art of War - Politics is like war. But Sun Tzu's way of war seems to be most humane. Chuang Tzu said in his texts "A sage warlord with 10,000 troops may dominate another land with war, however the people of the dominated nation will not be disheartened or be trodden with fear but be filled with happiness that the sage has come to lead them. I feel Sun Tzu talks about how to do that with his book "art of war" There are military texts from Legalists philosophers who won many wars, but they are very cruel and unforgiving. Confucius scholars hated to talk about war and thought anybody talking about war should be locked in jail. Anyways, Sun Tzu adopts mostly Taoist ideas in his book. Beautiful book. 7. Confucius Analects Did these ideas help warlords create beautiful civilizations? I don't know you tell me. In the end, western civilization has dominated asia in the end. But you have to understand, many Taoists knew from the beginning how corrupt Confucius's thought was. And in the later part of China and Korea, Confucianism was the dominant philosophy, not taoism, buddhism....etc. While Japan scoffed at Confucianists' thought and later created a powerful empire with their own ideas of Zen buddhism. If you ask me, Confucianism reflects much of Communism and emphasizes mannerisms over meritocracy. It takes rituals and experiences more than nature, which is its worst sin.

I found the game Sims2 and sims 3 to be very educational in childhood. IT really gave me an insight into how retched and meaningless life can be unless someone does something not mechanical! aside from making money shitting and eating good food and making stupid friends. Some final fantasy games were beautiful because they spark our imaginations and really delve deep into the problems of human life. Spec ops seemed cool. etc. Leo showed one of the games he liked in his blog. Wish i could get more recommendations of high consciousness games like that! I just bought an awesome computer with an awesome graphics card!

I've been reading Chuang Tzu's parables. One person asked a no name hermit, how can I attain right leadership and governance for the realm? And the hermit replied to him that he was an ugly horrible man and to never talk to him again. "How dare you try to think about governance and politics you lowly man! You deserve to be tramped on and spit!" My interest in taoism starts from this. At the time of china when Lao Tzu came to be, Confucius, Mencius, Han fei zi and many philosophers argued against each other as intellectuals like Jordan Peterson, Sam Harris debating whose way of governance and political philosophy were right. This came out to be because these warlords were seeking a form of self-help to study how they could outwin each other in creating a strong powerful country. But it was Lao tzu only who gained respect out of all those philosophers and kings even if he critisized how dumb Confucius and mencius were. Why? Because Lao Tzu said any sort of philosophy, thought, idealism, control, desire for leadership, any hint of idealism and philosophy bleeds a desire for power and leadership, which breeds corruption. That's why Chuang Tzu shit on Confucius hard in every parable he wrote in. But what really peeked my interest in Taoism is that after that person asked the hermit once again about governance, the hermit and answered relentingly, "cleanse the heart, master your energy to become one, adapt to change of mother earth but do not do so with any selfish urgency, then the world will be governed rightly by itself without your interference then on." Even though I try to say Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu's way of governance is too 'out there' and cannot apply to the 'real world', I cannot help but say their way of governance is just factually correct. Isn't it? How can i debate or argue against them?
