@wwhy Lmao, is this supposed be some implicit bias test? Im a psychologist, so you better dont try to tell me what I really think :D. Yes of course I feel something negative when the place that I grew up (which I call "home") is radically changed, Im not Jesus. Im sure you would feel the same, that doesnt mean however that those emotions significantly interfere with my political opinions about the topic. Thats something that you would like to happen, so that you can dismiss the other points I made. -

You seem to have no idea whats going on the internet. And yes I get banned and censored rather quickly on most platforms where I express my honest opinion. So yeah, its not a joke, youre actually right about whats happening. And yes the definition of racism was changed due to left-wing political reasons (keyword, reverse racism) -

I get my inspiration from many places and I try to keep the voices as balanced as possible. I personally get alot of information from Carl Benjamin, Tim Pool, Fox news which are clearly biased against SJWs of course. But I get the counter-arguments almost daily without looking for them. I get them from my friends, social media, the news that google wants me to see, youtube entertainers who are mostly left-wing (penguinz0, Jreg, Gus Johnson, Cody Ko, Drew Gooden), mystics (sadghuru, Leo) and so forth. I watch intentionally alot of alternative media to balance out the mainstream opinions that Im seeing everyday. Personally, Im not worried about it. I dont identify that much with the place Im born in and this seems more like a natural state of events. One civilization achieves overabundance and stops having children, and so less developed people take their place and probably go through their own journey until eventually the same thing happens. Im used to a level green environment living here in germany, seeing this enviroment being downgraded to orange, blue and red saddens me of course and I dont feel like its necessary besides for people who want to be seen as tolerant by their friends. On the other hand, maybe the Muslims will bring back some elements of blue that have been severely missing in germany due to a green and orange overreaction. I wouldnt even be that mad if they brang back religions foundations to some extent. -

I also found this and it annoys me just as much now as it did a year ago. Many of you guys argue from a completely linear spiral dynamics perspective, spiral dynamics is way too simple to categorize all the little political movements that we are experiencing right now. Just because the soviet union was green doesnt mean that 60million people dead was necessary to make that next step. Youre using a rough grid for fine adjustments in the political system. Our whole system is build on those values and they are of utmost importance, it has nothing to do with being sexist and wanting your women in the kitchen, thats a strawman. You can see that the liberation of women has created many socio-political problems (fatherlessness, devalueing of the social sciences), thats what they are talking about. These traditional values were not created to serve rich white men in their mansions, they were created to preserve society, thats what people are worried about, that society will collapse without proper footing. Caitlyn Jenner is not celebrity garbage sry, she is like THE figure on the forefront of transgender issues. You should probably read up on her. She has a fantastic book and is a really inspirational person. Thats a good chunk of major cities just run by muslims who are possibly ultra-conservative. Maybe saying "Islamic State" is hyperbole, but its an unnecessary setback and the way left politicians are treating violence by immigrants is beyond me. Excusing rape and murder. I support the AfD When Trump wanted to pull out troops from Afghanistan, liberal media went crazy and they argued against it. Why? Because trump said it and therefore it must be wrong no matter what, thats how the mainstream media operates. Getting rid of money in politics? Tell that to the Clinton family. High quality education more accessible? Universities do more harm than good nowadays because liberals have excluded all conservative discourse from these places. I agree with most of the points you brought up, I dont believe democrats would AT THE MOMENT help with those issues in any meaningful way. Again simplifying everything to spiral dynamics doesnt work, you seem as though you would already know that you are right before the discussion starts. I wasnt talking about the general democrat voter, I was talking about the leaders of Black Lives Matter. They proclaim to be full-on marxists, so what am I supposed to believe? Its not like all the greatest mass killings were designed by marxists, isnt that a lttle bit of a redflag? Similiar if you would say you are a nazi? I dont see the leaders of any popular right-wing movements that are full on nazis? I dont believe black people are lazy in any way, they just have been manipulated and used by marxists, thats all. (not all of them anyways). This thing isnt about race, they are people of all colours on both sides, stop making this about race. Im seeing people in my instagram feed, talking about white privilege while they live in GERMANY. We almost dont have any black people here, this anti-white sentiment can be found in more and more ordinary places, people are getting radicalized. Its not a boogeyman for me, there have been Marxists in the past who promised utopia and brought hell every time. Being a marxist is way way different than being a democrat, and the people who try to change that are extremists in my view. Lowest black unemployment rate in history? I just dont feel like he wants to suppress black people IN ANY WAY, it seems like this is 100% projection form the left. Thats debateable but it wont happen through riots or race guilt or quotas or racism. -

You guys made some good points and I will reconsider my language and generalizations. Btw, I wouldnt even consider myself right-wing, my ideas come equally from the left and the right. And I was more left-leaning for most of my life (still am but look at biden goddammit). However, none of you guys responses really convinced me that this is a balanced political discussion on this forum. Let me answer some assertions: First of all, yes, many mainstream sources on the internet (wikipedia, google, etc) have a clear left-wing bias. The definition of racism actually has been changed in some dictionaries to justify left-wing agenda. Secondly, no this definition is not distorted and its pretty straightfoward and it also excludes me from being a xenophobe. I dont HATE or FEAR Muslims, I'm an international student, I have many Muslim friends and I fully understand and appreciate their perspective. That doesnt change the fact that they are a few steps behind the west and ultra-conservative (something you guys should be worried about). Just because they are lower in the spiral, doesnt mean that I hate them in any way, that might be something you are projecting onto me because I support Trump. Woooooo! Believe me, I formulated many things very carefully when you consider that I come from a very different political perspective. You should say that about some of the stuff that Leo hits people with on this forum, talk about emotionally charged. But yes, I will take that to the heart (even though Marxism is still murderous in my opinion, for me thats not emotionally charged unless you are an extremist). Hallo Olla! I would call that a blatant generalization. This is about as productive as saying that all liberals are middle-class, privileged whine babies who have no life experience and want every little thing handed to them. The public opinion has changed btw, and many of these bible-belt people voted for Trump even though he pledged to support LGBT rights. Well tell me, who are the mayors and governors that are letting primal survival instincts run wild in the cities (mob mentality, group think, attacking boogieman)? At the moment it seems that democrats want to deregulate law and order because they have such an overreaction to blue that they would rather go back to red than letting police exist (which is weird). Ah yes, the good old sifting through archives to smear the person and find anything remotely racist. I will judge Trump by the campaign slogans that he has right now and not some shifty comment from 15 years ago. Yes, I also might have said something a little racist in the past, that doesnt mean that defines my whole character or that I can never change, just because its something you would like to hear, because then you can call me a racist and dismiss my other points. Thas quite an assumption there, that you make about me. I have been doing all of these things for years (I watch Leos videos), its the reason I was able to turn from hating trump to loving him. It seems like the people around me who hate trump, are the kinds of people who would never ever change their opinion about him. You can say this about me, but I could easily say the same thing about you. Then its a one-sided, less informed, narrow discussion about politics. And this goes against everything that Leo has taught me. Finding the balance, taking in every perspective and finding the nugget. Gathering the whole picture. If you want a discussion where your positions are favored on basis of assumption, then fine, but you will learn less. -

@JosephKnecht Good point, and yes this forum is probably more progressive due to its spiritual nature, youre right. But I still felt like the one-sidedness really took all of the joy out of the political forum for me. And just now when I came back, I saw people excusing violence which makes me a little queezy sometimes. And yes, we need a good balance of left and right. And it still seems like I can speak freely on this forum without getting banned which is good. This means we can still come to sensible conclusions and compromises. And yes sorry, "I will vote for trump", just sounded better than "I would vote for Trump if I were an American". I can only vote in german elections but Im still supporting the election campaign of trump on social media and trying to spread the word. It was just convenient, I hope it doesnt distort the message in any way. Im anyways way more informed about global and american politics than my own local politics -

@Roy Btw, I thought your first post was a good argument and I would have argued the same in my head if I were to question Trump. I believe that the people who are out there challenging and pushing the system to improve are doing the right thing. At the moment, the brave thing to do which challenges the status quo is supporting Donald Trump. Supporting freedom of speech and limits on immigration is the opinion that gets you fired from your job and excluded by your surroundings. These people really have to risk a lot to stand up for what they believe in and yet still they do it. They are using phrases from Martin Luther King to argue against Black Lives Matter. They are defending the statues of abolitionists which are torn down by lefties. They are focusing on their own issues and how to improve this country. On the other hand, I see the progressives only criticizing and projecting. "Stop the hate" while hating Trump, burning down buildings, stealing from people, shutting down different opinions. "Stop racism" while clearly putting people into racial categories. "Advocate equality" while dehumanizing one half of the population. Almost their entire ideology is based on hating trump and hating republicans, they would rather cancel people instead of lifting people up. Simple as that. They are also supported by virtually all major corporations and the media which doesnt make it very rebellious. -
Robi Steel replied to Robi Steel's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Roy Just because progressivism is defined as "progress" doesn't mean that it actually is that. Just because you name yourself that way, doesnt really mean anything, just like North Korea is the "Peoples Republic". Political movements and parties often turn into the opposite of what they are trying to achieve. Yes, liberalism always ends up winning, but who are the liberals at the moment? Which party represents authoritarianism and which one liberalism has changed many times in history between the democrats and republicans. I believe its switching once again at this time. Yes, separation and unity are prominent patterns in history, however, the separatists are not the ones making the progress each time. Sometimes, the revolutionaries are the ones that want to destroy progress. I believe the times of violent revolution are long behind us and our system allows for peaceful, steady change. The "progressives" want to change too fast and have no idea how to actually implement their ideas effectively besides authoritarianism. I dont want the whole country to look like "CHAZ", these "progressives" are clearly made up of the least developed people in our society -
Trumps popularity polls are now equal to the ones of obama at the same time of his presidency. I have seen a lot more people in these recent years undoubtedly questioning traditional media reporting and credibility. the democrats could have taken their chance to recollect themselves and find some ground and build up what they actually are about and what actually matters. Instead, they made fools of themselves obsessing over trump until people got sick of it. I would not want more trump but maybe it will be the lesser evil for many people to vote for. There's gonna be that unpredictable block that doesn't necessarily show in the polls. im not trying to offend, just the whole pictue its not all bad btw

@Leo Gura Nice argument -
Anyone else saw the joker movie? First of all, the joker is a genius movie all by itself and Joaquin Phoenix performance had me gripped almost every second of the film. The joker is a film about a lost middle-aged man who still lives with his mother and virtually nobody around him cares for him. One tragedy upon the next happens in his life. He goes from trying to be good towards embracing evil and becoming the Joker. Even though Arthur Fleck makes all the wrong decisions, he earns his right to exist and be heard. He is the villain but we understand him. the final scenes of the movie really blew me away and overloaded me with excitement and shock. The joker itself is apolitical but much political commentary can be found in the film that doesn't favour left or right. It is about the 1% and the concentration of the wealth at the top and the painful existence at the bottom. It is about a white man being abused by his mother (also by everyone else) who turns into a mass shooter. There is a lot in this movie.

Climate change is a progressive position that I have always retained over the years. It all seemed very clear to me and science produced almost universal results when it to the existence of climate change. But how well do the actual studies relate to the policies and to the activist actions? To what extent has the supposed existence of a more than serious impending problem created thousands of jobs, that now have an ego-agenda of their own. To what extent have climate activist become ideological and are furthering a collective ego and worldview instead of fixing the problem in significant ways. To what extent is criticism simply tossed aside with the label of "denial". This whole global warming thing is now almost culturally embedded, if the conclusions might actually be wrong that would hurt the whole movement too much. Suddenly every hot day and every hurricane is a sign of nature already starting to wipe us out (these kind of events were never subject to the theory of global warming btw). So there is a certain level of hysteria which is ego-driven. I could not be convinced that climate change might not be as bad if it were not for a steadfast, groundbreaking scientist, working some data and debunking studies. That is exactly what I found. Dr Willie Soon seems extremely committed to science as discipline and craft. He knows his numbers and he makes more than convincing arguments why climate change might not be wrong at the root but waaaayy overblown and is now a market of big interests that want global warming to be real. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_change_denial https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_consensus_on_climate_change

I think environmentalism still belongs to stage green in a foundational way even if climate change is not such a big deal. It is just the kind of pragmatic, hands-on environmentalism. Keeping the city clean. Reinstating habitats. Planting trees. Cleaning rivers. Preventing plastic trash. All the good stuff -
Yes that is a general concept which is true. You are now bringing this up for the second time and think that this actually counters any arguments made. Tradition is not "obstructing" evolution. Tradition is the primary basis for evolution. The thing that we give to our children are the things that form a multigenerational construct in reality, society. Without tradition, there would just be loose anarchy all the time and no long term development could ever take place. We will always need a huge contemplation and incorporation of all our traditions (unlike we are doing now). Were gonna adjust them, replace them, get rid of some and so forth. There is almost no truth in the most radical progressive ideas because it doesnt consider that if we just run non-stop at the next thing, very quickly the ground beneath our feet will fall away. Change is simply not linear or an easy step by step forward process toward the next thing. Thats how your typical surface-level progressive thinks. Change is actually driven most by strong traditions. Because those traditions have already been set up so that they can correct themselves (science). If there were no super strict rules in a Buddhist monastery, it would fall apart immediately. To handle more freedom, you need more restriction and a basis. They have the knowledge that there are no rules, so there needs to be serious balance. The best evolution is not getting to the next thing as quick as possible, thats simply not true. Im pretty sure Russia wouldn´t be such a dystopia if it hadn't tried that socialist dream so early ( that wasn't stage blue btw). Conservatives are extremely important and sometimes need to take over to stop left tyranny. As a yellow thinker, I tend to swing to my conservative or more liberal role depending on what is needed at the moment in society. They are equal.

Guys, I get the feeling that some people on here do have good intentions but are not really edging on the points about the balance of politics that some of us really want to bring home. I hear your points and they are all technically correct but I always feel like you guys havent seen that certain window from which our current political situation could be viewed from. A view that doesnt favor left or right from the get-go, that values the left and the right immensely I dont have some regressive blue element that is pulling me down to the conclusion that our society should not undermine traditional families as much as it is doing.I have looked at the data, I have looked at the people, I have looked at my direct experience, I let all the perspectives intertwine, And so I came to a conservative conclusion. How does the situation look right now, not in abstraction. Im looking at the people who run things at the moment. How they behave, what do they say. Who seems to glimmer this spiritual, divine energy in their speech, behavior and actions? Who examines greater depth and seems to actually know what they are doing? (im not saying trump is that btw, not at all) Then who is it? Its not the people who favor the right, its not the people who favor the left, its the people who look beyond that to the highest degree. Who integrate both forces. Can I be super honest on this forum? Some of your answers felt oddly predictable. I inhabit that paradigm too that you are talking about. Its great. I get what youre saying. Its not like your concepts are wrong. but these concepts can be used in really subtle ways to justify an unbalanced picture and to stress the less relevant talking points to avoid others. Maybe Im fooled, totally possible. Maybe there is some really sneaky twisting and subtle ignorance in your argumentation that you dont notice because you are afraid of embracing the right. fully embracing it. loving it. isnt that what this is all about? loving trump? Feel that honestly first before judging so many people easily away into insignificance.

@Serotoninluv Hey friend. I think you might have a "bimodal" problem when thinking about the political spectrum. How is change always better? How is progressive always better? What if youre going in the wrong direction? What if youre changing too fast so the whole foundation falls apart? What if youre going just too fast in an egotistical, self-righteous way.? Conservatives can sense when important traditions and rulesets and hierarchies are being thrown out of the window with the consequence of social instability. I wouldn't even consider myself right-wing in any way. I just dont want to be associated with these know-it-all liberals who never showed respect to a conservative once in their life. Really? ALL conservatives part the world in good and evil people? Thats all what theyre being boils down to eh? Had one to many spiral dynamics videos? Its actually not all that simple and convenient for your worldview as you think you know. Right-wing people are also people, they have absolutely reasonable concerns. They can see things that a hot-headed middle-class liberal does not see. I have a lot of conservative values because I care a lot about the stuff that we need to preserve. The backbone of our whole society rests on tradition and what we have learned from previous generations. The stability of our systems relies on such ancient stories and development. There is ALWAYS a chance to cast away too much of a secure base and completely undermine the functioning of the whole system. A naive and overblown progression ends in a society which core has been ripped out and has lost its center (like america).

Are you still on board with all the leftist media outlets? That have been demonstrated to be corrupt and partisan to the highest degree? Are you still so super sure of whats going on because you got your spiral dynamics conclusions? If you're not able to see the relief in trump for the people and if you are clearly not able to see the corruption and complete-ego overload on the left. I dont know if you contemplated this, but conservativism and liberalism have equal value. The left can push too far, then the right has to pull them back. The right can get equally concious in their role. The left isnt always better just because they are the ones making progress ahead. Progress ahead can be just as regressive and destructive. How about something else than "orange man bad"

Well, I disagree. This is the only way the north korean goverment will get over their ego for once. There is absolutely no point in just ignoring evil and looking away from it. There is no point in overthrowing the government and saving the world once again. It is about solving north korea from the inside, lifitng up more people and liberties. The more we show the goodness in our heart and willingness to cooperate. The more it will reflect in their heart. The less justification they have. -

Robi Steel replied to StephenK's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@StephenK There is no need for change at all from an absolute perspective, consider that from a relative perspective there is always a way to be closer to god and there is the distinction between devilry and godhood. When you reach an absolute point, you return to the world of duality and that world of duality becomes real. Focus on not having to change anything about you to be at peace. That will be the change you are striving for. The journey consists of realizing that there is no journey. This is how both of these things are true at the same time -
Im not underestimating the potential harm of having no way of safely storing nuclear waste but it is all adressed in this talk. Problems that nuclear energy causes are real, they are just not comparable to emission and damage of coal energy plants, or even solar panels. Really eye-opening talk
