  1. Physically, walls separate people. And a wall would not be the reason I would vote for Trump. The reason I would vote for him is the democratic party. However, controlling the influx of people coming illegally into a country, is a fair argument. The end goal should be unification but you cant just open all the border all the time without regulation and expect something productive to come out of that. Its not really a solution if everyone just flees to richer countries, solution have to be found at the places where people are fleeing from.
  2. I totally agree. But theres a reason this part of the forum exists right. And I see many other people on here that defend a certain identity. I dont feel like Im special in that regard. If were gonna play the game, lets play the game. I thought that you said that we need to get involved in politics whether we want to or not. Or are you saying that your way of looking at politics is pure and mine is in contrast based on 100% illusion? Because thats quite an assumption
  3. Im gonna come back to this thread in 20 years and then were gonna see who was right . Im german, so I dont have any significant impact on the US election anyways. In a different way Im very excited what lays ahead of us and how all this political chaos is gonna play out in the end. The future may look chaotic but it will also certainly be eventful.
  4. @Nak Khid I completely agree with you. Trump is an idiot, I know that. Hes not very articulate and not very giving or compassionate. He constantly makes divisive statements but he also makes clear statements and does not give in. Hes not very appealing but his heart is in the right place (compared to Biden certainly, compared to the mess that is the democratic party certainly). He makes counter-productive moves but he has something that the vast majority of politicians do not have, he says whats on his mind. He does not give in like a weak person, he perseveres. I want to state clearly that I think that the old media has generated 90% of the division (CNN, Huffington Post, ABC). They are a dying medium and they have exploited the hate for trump for clicks and money. They have created an antagonistic perception in one half of the population.
  5. @Raphael I value like literally every video that Leo has posted. I have watched all of his videos several times (except the new white ones). Interpersonal relationships, life purpose, quantum physics, psychedelics, meditation and first and foremost: enlightenment and spirituality. A topic that has again "literally" saved my life by making me aware that Im in a dream. I dont think its a good sign that so many of you guys feel this much blown away that I have a different political opinion on a forum where spirituality is the main focus. Spirituality should always be about diversity and the biggest possible picture. Heres a task: imagine a scenario where someone has a high level of spiritual development and decides to support Trump. Come up with possible explanations. Im not saying that that is the case but if Im honest: alot of guys characterization of me do not land, because it doesnt feel like your arguing against me, it feels like youre arguing against your projection of a trump supporter, which can be frustrating at times.
  6. Well I listened to a lot of those when I was younger but yes you are right. I should probably search out the best left commentators even though Im aware of many of them already, my mission is really to get the big picture. Many musicians, entertainers and comedians I listen to are left-wing and Im familiar with many many arguments of both sides, I get it taught in Uni. I consume alternative media as a balance really, its not as one sided as you think. I always grew up in a very left-wing enviroment But I will integrate what you said
  7. Maybe the soviet union wasnt green, I can totally see that. Maybe new populist parties in Germany are not the answer, I fully respect that. Im not sure myself how to go about this and what the answer might be but I can see which people are going in a dangerous direction. I can see some people that are more hateful than necessary (on both sides ofc). I do however think that the New York Times might not be the most accurate source when researching the AfD. I want to make everyone aware that you can make anybody look like a horrible person when you omit information and distort it. The reason I made this thread was to tell you, that in the past I felt sometimes intimidated when expressing my honest thoughts here. But I see that the vast majority of you are well-meaning and civil. I knew this before but just wanted to put it out there how I feel
  8. Oh sry, I wasnt avoiding it intentionally. Thats a philosophical question. On the one hand, I dont feel superior to anyone, everyones experience is subjective and has value. Theres no better or worse experience in the absolute sense. On the other hand, if you know about spiritual enlightenment and do spiritual work, you are in a small, small minority. And most people arent ready yet for those stages of deconstruction, if ever.
  9. @Amandine Shaming me actually reinforces some of the assertions that I made here. Plz dont do that Well yes, nothingness can do that, simple as that Plz no ageism
  10. Well heres one possibility: oftentimes beliefs from a stage above you, sound like from a stage below you Another possibility is that Im wrong and that these beliefs are sentiments from earlier stages. When Leo disagrees with you, theres a good possibility. But its also not like I havent thought through what im saying here. Tearing down statues, getting people fired, censoring public discourse might
  11. Just because you say that doesnt mean, its not just your subjective judgement about me. Those countries are not socialist, they are not socialist democracies, they are not democratic socialism, they are a free market society with socialist regulations. I can assure you that socialist countries of the past did not want 60 million dead either, they are deeply ashamed of their history and try mask it and distort it. But still, it happened. I personally define my identity by nothingness and non-existence. Im saying that *regular* people would go insane without clear structures. Maybe they will be ready one day to adopt a global identity but at the moment this is not helpful.
  12. @Sockrattes Yes german culture is arbitrary, just like EVERY OTHER culture that exists. Its a relative phenomenon that has no clear boundaries. In the absolute sense, you are right, in the relative sense, you are wrong. There is a clear pattern, a set of axiums that defines german culture, german culture is the summation of all german peoples behavior, and this behavior has certain tendencies which defines that country. Without this arbitrary construction, the country would simply disintegrate and collapse and/or become something else. People need some form of boundaries and limits to orient themselves and know where they are. You can deconstruct everything and you wont be wrong, but it wont help anyone, it will just create more chaos and destroy the possibility to even exist. A state is the best form of unity on a large scale that we have right now, attempts to actively tear down those structures will only result in more division. Everything has its time, and deconstructing the concept of culture will not work with 90% of people. Even in a global superstate, people should have close connections to the place where they grew up in and their local history, otherwise they will have a crisis of identity
  13. Those "democratic" stage green folks have huge problems with the democratic results of the 2016 election. They have made several attempts to impeach Trump which were more fueled by hate of the election results than actual evidence. Well you wanna know some of the platitudes of the soviet union? "Social justice", "Feminism", "Workers rights". And when western intellectuals came over, they said it was the "future". Some of those people that advocate for equality also support anti-democratic measures to impose their beliefs nowadays. I dont think its that far fetched. You do have a point however, but Im pretty sure I have a point too. I actually did alot of research on communist china and russia
  14. @Epikur Gives important insights about our biological nature
  15. @BratcatYou make a good point and I will consider it. I dont think however germany is the ideal society, germany may very well be the on the decline and weak. This is why I think that german culture wont be the dominant culture for much longer
  16. I can only vote in german elections, I just said it to make the conversation simpler
  17. @crab12 It went from lib left to lib right to the middle
  18. xdddddd xddd Sry that I disturbed your pure-hearted political community here, I will keep my embarrassing opinions to myself in the future No but seriously, youre one of the people that is the least convincing on here, congrats. Ohhhh great white Leo, plz forgive me for the ego that I have committed :*
  19. I never said that the dictionary is "left wing propaganda", not in any way did I put it on that scale. I said the definition of racism has been changed due to political pressure. I think you are projecting a certain image onto me here. Pretty sure, read my other points more carefully.
