  1. There’s a crossover with yoga but I’d say breath work in general. There’s so many ways to breath to either hype or calm yourself & everything in between, including transcendent consciousness.
  2. Thanks I want to start using « enshitification » in my speech from now on.
  3. Cardio makes caffeine way better than L-theanine ever could. It requires effort though, I get it. We loose 99% of people right there. I don’t think it’s worth it. Just another bill. What does L-theanine cost where you live? Maybe you rich & don’t care to pay for placebo every month. Try it out. Your experience may differ.
  4. I don’t experience tolerance the way people talk about. You’ll have to experiment & see how you specifically metabolize the stuff. Basically the bigger the dose the bigger the reset. For me high dose of mushrooms takes about a week to reset tolerance. Micro doses don’t cause tolerance to any significant amount for me. I love it as a pre workout.
  5. Shits & Giggles Distraction, cool down, entertainment Learning & being exposed to different sources of information/perspectives
  6. It reminds me of a saying that goes around musician circles. “You can break all the rules, but you gotta learn them first.” By definition, the cutting edge exists only at the edge. And to get to the edge you gotta learn history. To transcend is to include.
  7. the whole point of eating blueberries is to eat them grrrrrrr 😬
  8. You’d really loose your shit here in Québec.
  9. Don’t have to think. My eyes are blue. Anything blue looks good on me.
  10. Never considered sharing with my family. Not even one second. I showed some stuff to my most open minded friends at some point but it was still 1000 years too early. No one gives a shit.
  11. He’s definitely an expert in the field but he has such boomer opinions sometimes I can’t listen to him at all lol.
  12. You mean Ujjayi Pranayama in the book right?
  13. Maybe he does it cause he just likes doing it🤷‍♂️ What is it called when the most simple answer is often the correct one again?
  14. Chop wood, carry water
  15. I love the floor. It’s crazy how a flat surface on the ground can be such a powerful recovery tool. I spend tons of time lying on & moving close to the floor. Also sitting in tons of different positions. I work on the floor when I am not standing.
  16. Paul Chek seemed to be doing alright with it last I checked(no pun intended)
  17. I was tripping a few months ago & it made me remember an old friend I hadn’t seen in years. After the trip I texted her to hang out that week & she told me that she had been thinking of me randomly that day. We didn’t talk for a looong ass time it’s like the psych put my mind into her mind before even calling by imagining her.
  18. I am at a point in terms of skill where I can charge up to 70$ an hour for one on one teaching & I work on stuff I love at least everyday. It’s becoming easier & easier to get clients too. I think I’ll be officially financially afloat from it exclusively in the coming year or two & it feels fantastic. I don’t want to be bragging, I just felt grateful. I took the course almost a decade ago. I’ve been on the forum since 2018 & I bought the course before that for god’s sake! Plow through the doubt & resistance fam, this work really does work. And you, Leo, my good sir, are absolutely insane. I am only scratching the surface of your work.
  19. What do you mean by active mindfulness? Specific patterns or just intuitive walking & doing other movements?
  20. What do you guys think of moving practices like tai chi & such? How different is from sitting? Is it not boring enough?
  21. I’ll get my strength up & jump it, mate. Thanks @Razard86! I am grazing it with the tips of my fingers
  22. I’ll add it to the list next to harmonica. I have a pipeline. Probably won’t ever get to the end of it.😜
  23. @Natasha Tori Maru Thank you for your valuable perspective. I will mull it over for a little while now. I can definitely validate the exposure therapy part for other aspects of my life. It only makes sense but sometimes the human is stubborn lol. I’ll get to sending emails! Oh what a joy unraveling all that shit is!
  24. Hey sure I can talk a bit more. I have thought guitar & am teaching people of all ages from 5 to 73 years old. I also thought piano to mostly kids & some of my students, even though I market myself as a guitar teacher first, like for me to do voice training & ear training with them. Here’s a few things I learned about teaching so far: Every students’ needs are different so I don’t have a set curriculum. I treat teaching like I treat jazz. It’s improvised using context & a few guidelines. The song is at the centre of it all because that’s what most people want to learn: Playing songs they like. The theory is tastefully sprinkled throughout for the sake of naming things for the most part. It’s to communicate instructions more effectively first. Unless the student really digs it. I always introduce new warm ups to have fun & loosen up. I call it tuning. The instrument & the mind. Breathing exercises specific to singing work great there but I also make them break out their shell by doing a bunch of silly noises. Humour is always a bonus. You are trying to make them have a good time before trying to turn them into Mozart. I always learn the song they are trying to learn. It might sound obvious but when you are leagues above them in skills you can get away with taking it one measure at a time & transcribing live in front of them or reading it. I don’t like that. I like to memorize the music front & back, the form, lyrics, everything. I might even play it in a few different keys for fun if it’s a simple song. I learn it way faster than them of course so some hours of learning for me is weeks of not having to prepare material cause you now have an ocean in your pocket & they can only handle a small glass of water at a time. I could think of more stuff and maybe will later, cheers!
