@Nivsch I find the value behind the idea of being "already perfect" is to notice the choices you have, not the criticisms.

Sure god can, god can be anything, even a boat! He can and he can't, at the very least...

There is no plan, but a plan emerges inevitably. The plan is in the moment, and not beyond that. You can have your own plan. If you're seeking deeper meaning, focus on finding the present moment. There is more to it than you can ever know.

@skywords Re-examining the meaning of meaning? That seems a little too deep. Meaning is simple, it is exactly what it is. I guess Leo pushes for nonduality though, which if you look at meaning calls it into question. But it is not the meaning of meaning in question, it is whether or not you bother with the meaning, as well as what meaning you're looking for. In a sense then I guess you're investigating the meaning of meaning, but it is not my message. I'm saying that I am self. I am meaning. I am purpose. I am will. That is what I am. What you can be too. But then, it's a different directionality of nonduality than leo is going, because he says you are the watcher and I say I am not that. Metaphysics? Metacommunication? I'm saying that there is no substance to that. I am that substance, which is found in physics. My body and my brain are who I am. The experience of consiousness is what I see, and I am what is being seen. At least as long as it remains in my agency, for I am not the floor that holds me here. I don't even have any proof that it exists except its consistency. The consistency of me is who I am, and that is right here this body that I touch. You may say, oh but what proof do you have that that is there and I say, yes, that's not the point. I don't suddenly become infinite consiousness because I don't have proof that I exist. I think therefore I am. I am here, now, present in this mind, active in this body. There is nothing more or less to me than my direct experience.

I am that which is being witnessed. I am the dream. I am self. That’s who I am. I am not infinite, nor absolute. I am being witnessed by consciousness. I experience what is being observed, I am self. I can guide my consciousness in small moments of free will, but am otherwise fatebound. I am self.

I’m not sure what you mean? Contrast to me is comparative of objects, identities. Flow is to follow fate with no resistance. Change is similar to the passage of time.

You don’t have to follow Leo’s guidance to the T. You can discover your own path. If you want to be extroverted next extroverted. You were there before so you know you can find extroversion again

You should not seek to leverage that what kills you, at least not unless you’re already ready to die. leverage in my opinion is a Machiavellian principle. gain wisdom when you do, but if it does not apply to your life what use is it? and skitzophrenia is a psychosis of delusion and paranoia. Both incredibly risky to rely on, with much less real benefit than simply focusing on finding grounding.

Win the lottery. Workplace accident. Inheritance. Otherwise, it takes persistence, and is best done by following your spirit of passion. to become rich, simply learn to value things that get you more money over things that do nothing but cost you. you can also be risky and take loans but desperation is a terrible motivator for that. -
Sounds like you could work on boundaries. Boundaries between your sense of selfe and what others want from you. And spoken boundaries that you say and adhere to stubbornly.

my advice as someone who recovered from a comparable emotional reality, is to make a self-care kit, and to regularly take time to reflect on what changes you can observe from the past few weeks to few months, and take time to reflect on positives wanted in the future. From my life, I never felt like people related, and when I did it was a short-lived feeling, because there was more that never came up in our conversations, so it would be great to have someone relate but in the end only I would be the one to know my experience, and I had to be the one to learn how to be strong in the face of them. Learning from others helped, and sharing my experiences usually helped, but in the end it was my determination that pulled me through. Your friend of course wouldn't have to be like me to do something similar, to turn her life around, really it isn't turning life around though - it is finding what is strong already, and strengthening it further, and finding what isn't strong enough, and supporting oneself in building that strength. I have heard that changing one's environment can make a big difference - if it is possible for her to meet new people or visit new place I'd recommend it.

Maybe there are some stages you keep cycling through but it probably isn’t locked into ten and years for everyone.

Every teacher is full of guidance and of truths. That's why they are respected as teachers. If you can't personally respect a teacher, no big deal. Find a better match. We are incredibly diverse minds, to me most about that Teal shares makes some amount of sense, but whether or not its literal meaning is true I honestly don't care. It isn't about having belief in things. It's about learning about existence, and how to live in that, for the sake of both ourselves and others. The Brothers Grimm and Asop both weaved tales to teach real principles. How is it any different for Teal or for Leo? Or for you or for me? False or not, it guides. Its truth and verifiability is irrelevant. What practical change you make in life - that's what matters! When you stop trying to validate or invalidate belief, and instead apply meaningful action to the real world - IMO that is the enlightenment to strive for. To me Teal's extraworldly stuff is more meaningful than Leo's mind trips and becoming the infinite. He seems just as crazy to me as Teal! - and honest I'm pretty crazy myself. It really doesn't matter - In one of Teal's videos she says how we each experience our own universe, our experience of the universe is so diverse we basically each have our own. In one of Leo's videos, he says how ignoring a master's teachings becasue of this or that or the other thing is simply ignoring a master's teachings. If things don't make sense to you, ignore it, put it aside, contemplate it, whatever. But if something does help guide you - for whatever reason - then you have found guidance. That is the real reason we follow a master.

Only as much of a lie as everything else.

Isn't this mindset that africans are savages who must be saved exactly what destroyed the cultures there and cast them down a path of corruption?

Agreed! And one of those relationships is you yourself

Is it the abdomen, chest, and forehead? If someone asked me where energy comes from, I would say, sunlight, fruits, veggies, exercise, rest, nature, exploration of others, exploration of self, and one's own motivations and interests, as well as various emotional sources. -

Sorry if it is weird to have no profile image, the "upload image" button is one of the buttons that fails to work with apple software right now. I am trying to get into meditation and a friend referred me to leo. But I like asking people too! So - When you go to try to meditate, does something deter you? If so, what inspires you to overcome that resistence? What technique is your favorite, and is it the same technique that you practice most often? What inspires you to return to your practice? Did you self-teach in a significant way, or mostly just learn from the guidance of others - books, videos, teachers... I am just curious! I am going to be searching for the answers to these myself.. But in the mean time as I discover it, I'm looking forward to opening my mind to others' preferences too - I hope to learn from everyone! oh... also... is yoga meditation? I took yoga classes before, and it seemed like an introspective practice. Is that what meditation is - introspection? -

I'm sorry you had to read that before I deleted it. I've lived a pretty broken life, and I'm not a very together person. -

@Martin123 that whole post is nothing but two dimensional expectation of the world. there are two types of roles one can play - to be the dependent parent enslaving itself to keep the kid in a cage large enough to fool it into thinking it is free, or to be the obsessed child masturbating basically, unaware how dependent it is on its cage it doesn't even see. -

This made me feel so lonely. why is it "an incredible amount of patience and effort" to take care of a kid? no kid deserves that. that's such an alienating experience. if it's so damn hard to be a parent, what does it feel like to be their kid? -
So then take the one you like least and do it seven times a day, and no other, that is your only practice. And go look up how to do it at least once a day. From different sources too

Wait - You are an imbalance between femininity and masculinity! Why is the child free to do whatever and the parent not? Why is only the child allowed independence? ... Hm. I personally stopped trying to see predators in the world, because to look for something, you will find it. ... but, what does it feel like, to see someone as a parental figure? I think that is the question I wanted to ask. Oh - what is an ego? A person's self-esteem and self-importance? I don't know who my parents are. But I heard someone say once, about being a parent to oneself when parents are lacking.. but I don't really get it. Why do we have to have parents and children? -

What is it like to have a parent/child relationship? to be a part of that? -

My first awakening was super dramatic and had multiple hours of awakening and spanned across several weeks. well I guess then it was many awakenings. Oh, no, then, my first awakening was very quiet - I barely noticed it.
