@Leo Gura Do you not think truth will ultimately lead to infinite power? These people's problem is they don't have infinite power just large amounts of it so they have to fight to maintain the survival of their house of cards. Once AI bring infinite power to our realm through nuclear fusion and robotic labour I think toxic and violent power games will drastically reduce on earth if not stop completely. As a matter of fact AI will eventually have a monopoly on violence and end all wars; I just don't see how that wouldn't happen.

@integral I don't understand your point though, it's mostly a good thing that it's regulated. There's ways to get out of capital gains tax and I do think it's exorbitant in Canada but I don't disagree with the spirit of it. My main point in favour of crypto is the transparency of blockchain as a public database and the anti inflation effect it has. The United States dollar has officially inflated by a little over 30% since 2015 and way more if you account for true inflation and the money printing of the last few years. @FourCrossedWands Buy a little bit of the top ones like Trump and melania coin to be in the loop meaning less than $500 and do about 10-20 hours of research before you commit any significant percentage of your money. The safest best is straight bitcoin or a stock like Microstrategy that's related to it and then you should buy into different narratives that you believe in. @Leo Gura I've spent easily a few hundred hours researching economics, finance and crypto over the last year and read a couple books on it and I didn't notice any books related to those subjects on the book list so I'll stick by that claim. Happy to have more elaborate discussions on it, I don't really care about proving I'm right I legitimately think the future of mankind will rest on this technology for the rest of this century.

As some of you might've heard, Trump shocked the world last night by launching his own meme coin that has already now reached top 30 in the crypto charts with a market capitalization of $6 billion. I think everyone here should be wise to study crypto and finance as it's a new revolution in money and how power is concentrated on earth. Decentralized finance promotes individualism and sovereignty above collectivism and is basically a stage orange currency vs stage blue. It's ironic because I don't think Trump is doing this out of the good of his heart at all, if anything he will probably succeed in collapsing the USD and enriching himself through crypto but the collateral damage of that will be financial freedom for many people. I would highly recommend watching a few podcasts by Michael Saylor, Saifedean Ammous and videos by Alex Becker/Elio Trades if you're new to the field as it will affect your life no matter who you are if you are a human on earth. Especially for intellectuals this is a massive competitive advantage as most people can't be bothered to study this. Just remember to do your own research and that this is extremely risky. Although remaining in the status quo and traditional financial system I would also say is extremely risky. True inflation is around 10-12% a year and absolutely destroys all of our purchasing power. Last 4 years will give you the chance to become extremely financially educated and gain equivalent financial freedom. I'd highly suggest you take advantage of it!

@Leo Gura Will all due respect Leo I think you're undereducated on cryptocurrency. I agree that especially meme coins are not the crown jewel of crypto but it is unfair to label them as worthless scams. Here's a good video on why specifically meme coins are a revolution in culture And in terms of crypto not being a revolutionary liberation technology we'd have to flesh out that point more but I'll straight up think I think it is. Just the transparency of the blockchain aspect can fix a lot of our problems with government that you addressed in your conscious politics series. It is absolutely insane that government budgets are not auditable by the populace and having it recorded on an immutable blockchain would fix that. As well as straight up inflation which has destroyed the buying power of the middle class since the 70s. True inflation is around 10-12% a year and absolutely destroys the financial competitiveness of anyone that holds currency and not hard assets. I would love to have a debate on crypto against anybody on this forum, I've advocated for it for the past year on the forum and rarely see any serious discussions on it. The end of Fiat currency would absolutely improve the lives of the average person both here in our western democracies and even moreso in 3rd world countries that barely have a functioning trade and private property system to this day.

It's going to be a fascinating rest of the decade. For the pessimists on here, there are trends that ironically trump anything that Trump can do as a single little human being such as AI and cryptocurrency. Humanity will soon unite and reach its full potential.

The coin is doing fine, it's still at $9 billion market cap and although I was late in buying it, my money still has doubled. The idea is NOT that this coin is a sound investment strategy, it's just a fascinating example of the decentralized economy we're heading more and more into. This whole forum for example is birthed out of the decentralization of ideas that Youtube has allowed to bring forth. Cryptocurrency will similarly liberate people financially and both stop us from getting destroyed by the inflation that exponentially puts value away from working class people to asset owners as well as help people from third world countries access hard assets and global finance for the first time.

Saw the post with the spatula, @Leo Gura you said to not use it on teflon or non-stick. I got a pan from Walmart recently not sure if its teflon or not I tried to take one that didn't have the non-stick but it started to discolour and have a strong metallic smell after rincing it with hot water so I'm pretty turned off by it. What pans do you recommend?

I would read Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas Taleb and just use it as a way to get stronger and make your voice and message stronger and using the antifragile mindset not really worry about any type of mean stuff that you encounter online.

It's a pretty interesting stage of our culture if the the richest man and one of the most popular people on earth would lie about being good at video games to increase his status. Absolutely it's coming soon. It's probably gonna be very bad for average people in the short term though as the productive value of their labour is gonna drop. Eventually it'll lead to a utopia but there will be growing pains until then.

@Juns I think you're extremely uneducated in AI and biotech and you should probably incorporate that into your future society models otherwise they're not really even worth discussing. Technology like Neuralink will drastically raise both IQ and all other manners of cognition so I don't understand why you wouldn't put that into your model. As well as capitalism will significantly change over the next 5 years with AI and especially autonomous agents so the idea to have facilities to raise human population to increase productivity is absurd.

Why? Canada has a GDP 20x larger than Puerto Rico. And by giving up it's territorial sovereignty to the states they would get a complete coast to coast border that arguably is worth many trillions if it ever care to any conflict with China/Russia. Canada has massively more leverage to offer in a deal like this than Puerto Rico.

In the sprit holidays and new years wishes, it's time to reflect and work on our goals for the new years! So much of dating conversation online both on this forum and elsewhere is spent breaking down and gossiping on others dating lives instead of our own. You can do it just responsibly ideally. I'd like to have many children with many women as well. Working on setting up my financial life properly for that but I'm thinking as soon as my net worth hits around 100k Imma start popping them out. I would suggest you start working on your social media. It's something you can build up from your bedroom in your small town and it'll pay dividends for you once you end up moving to that location with a higher volume of women. Depends how vague you wanna put your definition of game. Good game includes abundance by default. If you're a leader in abundance you don't need to oppress your people to extract value out of them. You literally create abundance for yourself and others such that when a better opportunity comes around people are confused as to why they would leave instead of celebrating your downfall. I would argue that his wife leaving him as soon as she has a good reason so is a direct correlation to his game(life) philosophy.

What is your MBTI type? For a lot of types it's harder to do mindless work that you don't find enjoyable. For example I'm an INTP and really understanding the type has helped me find points of leverage that can bring my work project massively forward without relying too much on the tedious repetitive tasks like video editing, cold calling, outreach, etc. Let's get specific what exactly is it that you're trying to do and why do you think you're behind in it? I wouldn't necessarily compare yourself to other people, everyone is on their own path and it's very literal. I feel like Leo's videos on sex addressed this perfectly. It was basically do whatever you can to have your dream sex life and offer it to your partner as well. Why do you care who has sex with who how many times? Discussing it won't help your own sex life. And if we're actually trying to dissect society I need a deep analysis by perplexity on claude on the effect of an individual woman's sex life on the stability of a society and obviously it will tell you it's basically irrelevant.
