As a 29 year old born and raised Canadian, the fact that this deal is on the table is mind blowing to me and the fact that our leaders refuse to consider it double moreso. Here are my full thoughts on it that I posted on the montreal subreddit. Short form of my thoughts is I think this deal would be amazing for both americans and canadians and turn us into the greatest superpower history has seen and would solve a lot of America's issues in China rising up to challenge its hegemony. Owning and having full sovereignty over almost the full North American content would give the US a great start to the 21st century especially in an age of geopolitical conflict that's looking more and more like exploiting natural ressources to fuel AI and robots will be the what our global economy is based on in 2030-2050 and Canada has more rare earth minerals than the US. Let's discuss and if I don't get convinced otherwise I will mount a political campaign to advocate for this movement here in Canada in person as I'm a social media marketer. I would ask that you please use the principles of epistemology to debunk my arguments and not use gut feeling emotions as most people do on social media and which makes for poor conversation and educational debate.

Beautiful question that reflects the nondual nature of our world. You can watch Mark Zuckberberg get deposed by the US congress on Instagram and Facebook. You do not have monopoly over your creations, you are the but the vessel that brings them to life. God is behind Artificial Intelligence and it will be used to empower and free mankind beyond your guy's wildest expectations. Rejoice! The empire of Mankind will start birth itself soon.

I would like to discuss a new trend that's happening as everyone is freaking out about the new american administration. Governance has always been a flawed concept and our current democracy is fortunately the best we've done but it's got some glaring flaws that are exposed in real time with the wrecking ball stamped with DJT on it. I do believe it'll lead in a completely new wave of governance technology for humanity through the blockchain and decentralized ownership of AI agents. Marx predicted our current era of late stage capitalism 200 years ago and although his ideas were flawed, they're shockingly accurate in a lot of ways. We never had the tech to truly have the people own the means of production until today. Decentralized ownership of this new technology of automated labor is totally now possible through smart contracts. I believe the end game of the next 25 years is AI agents will almost entirely take over the economy and the big question is how to control them. Of course the fear is that the rich and big tech fully control them but it's really not how it's foundationally laid out already. There is a big wave of open source and decentralized ownership that is behind this trend that makes me extremely optimistic. We the people are behind this new super human technology. We will get unique human wallets that will uniquely identify us a humans in this new era of AI agents and fundamentally this is what will be used to distribute UBI in the form of collective ownership of this new form of ultimate labor. Curious what you guys think of this especially those that have put their 25-100 hour of research into AI agents, DAOs and decentralized finance.

You and @puporing and most other leftists are just too stuck in victim mindset to take action on these changes and empower your lives and thus gain enough knowledge through doing it to see that it's going the right way. You're basically like people criticizing CEOs for being overpaid while never having started a business and not understanding the difference between commodity labor and executive skillset. I don't think we can come to an understanding but Purporing just proved my point that he's so clueless about how to impact the world that he would resort to suicide if the situation became worse. Reflect on the fact that you're a human and that humans are the most powerful creatures on earth. And that now you have AI and literally decentralized finance meaning that you could litereally take over Trump yourselves if you wanted to. TELL ME LITERALLY WHAT IS TO STOP YOU??? Your weak mindsets disgusts me honestly. Go back to spiral dynamics and integrate some Stage Red. You're not a hamster nor a victim nor a powerful man you're literally an infinitely powerful God that fooled himself thinking he's a powerless victim. Beta male energy. Get a grip.

@Joshe Lex Friedman interviewing Putin would go hard. I love these long form discussions open to the public, social media is democratizing access to information in a beautiful way!

Inflation in Argentina in December 2023 was literally 25%, now it's 2.2%. Austerity measures have increase unemployment but it's predicted to stabilize the economy for the medium and long term as it's been catastrophic for the past few decades. This crypto coin has been a disaster and exposed a lot of other shady shit in the industry thank god but let's get the facts straight on the president himself. That was a clear lack of judgement in promoting this project without investigating it in depth but from my understanding his economic measures since he took office have been very successful.

I'm quite confident this will lead to global blockchain direct democracy so I'm not too worried about this. It's interesting to see our current system stress tested to its limit though. Just mark my words that 2030s will lead to the biggest shift in governance that mankind has ever experience and will basically inevitably lead in decentralized ownership and nationalization of AI technology. The US military cannot stand up to AI; it's a whole paradigm shift in our reality. Grateful to be alive to witness it, god bless.

@puporing I don't think you've deeply pondered the trend this is taken humanity on. We can have this conversation again in a few years but I think the decentralized and open source sentiment that is backing this new technological wave is going right over your guy's head. We are basically closing in on global world peace forever. I'm not saying Trump is the solution but he is the wrecking ball we need to put us on the right track. The 2030s will be some of the most consequential in all of human history.

Saw the post with the spatula, @Leo Gura you said to not use it on teflon or non-stick. I got a pan from Walmart recently not sure if its teflon or not I tried to take one that didn't have the non-stick but it started to discolour and have a strong metallic smell after rincing it with hot water so I'm pretty turned off by it. What pans do you recommend?

I haven't watched the video but don't agree with the general premise. De-sexualizing your brain is a useless concept. You have a sex drive for a reason and you can learn to use it productively to achieve your goals more effectively just like nature intended.
-
@BlessedLion you're using a huge amount of victim on behalf of those men. There are plenty of ways for men to learn to get sex today. To pay 5-20$ to access sexuality is a effort trade off that a lot of men do willingly. I've paid for the OF of a few girls I knew and that was a good deal I hope they enjoyed it. Especially while working on my business rn I don't have too much time go to out and game and have an active sex life so porn fulfills a very productive role in my life.

Contemplate your total ignorance where human history has always worked with elites at the top and now for the first time you can actually own the means of production and have smart contract that give you total collective ownership of AI agents that will be most of the labor on earth going forward... You and a lot of people on this forum have a massive stage green shadow on this topic and refuse to see it from a stage yellow perspective and integrate the multiple perspectives and trends that are currently converging on earth.
-
@aurum I think whether you are right or wrong this is the way it's meant to be. There are flaws in the american democratic system and this current administration will serve to stress test them. The future of mankind lies in decentralized power and governance IMO and the american tech scene is the one paving the way for this freer future. Global direct democracy through the blockchain is what this future leads to and I'm all here for it.
-
@Elliott I don't think that's enough to remain competitive in an AI labour world but we'll see.
-
Women's reproductive rights was one I hadn't considered. I like the idea of basing it on freedom, which path forward has the greatest potential for producing more freedom for citizens of both countries? I

You don't get the politicians you want, you get the ones you have. This deal and nuanced discussion must be had right now before 2027 when the conflict with Taiwan is planned to happen and things are too far gone to make this deal happen.
-
Our politicians are not arguing it properly. I've never seen an elaborate discussion breaking down the full benefits and drawback. Already 10% of canadians are supporting it without that being done so if it was argued properly I think that would jump closer to 20-30% and potentially over 50% and it'll go through. Im just figuring out the logical fallacies in my arguments and I will start advocating for this more broadly if I do still think it makes sense at the end of my research process.

What makes you say that? Canadian healthcare is mostly get paid by provinces not the federal government. No reason there couldn't be a new body that handles healthcare separately for all the 13 new Canadian states.
-
You've once more ignored all of my points once again due to what I assume is ignorance of the details. Canada has plenty of corrupt politicians don't worry about that, I don't need Trump to be an angel for this deal to make sense.
-
EU is in no way positioned to become an economic superpower anytime soon and is very being in their tech sector. They're gonna have to bend the knee to either the states or China.
-
I think you're coming from a naive stage green perspective where coercion tactics are too mean to use in politics. How do you think military and economic deals go through apart from coercion tactics? Please address the points in my post otherwise I will restake my claim that you're making epistemological mistakes and have no clue what you're talking about.
-
Be very careful in your use of the world fool and I'll ask you to counter my points if you don't agree with them otherwise your whole post is an irrelevant ad hominem. What exactly do you like about the Canadian government? It's plenty corrupt and has flaws like any other but doesn't have the potential to solve our problems unlike this deal would.

Russia is not looking for total war with NATO. They could barely conquer a small amount of Ukraine territory. This is a good video to watch on the topic. Russia gains huge advantage in a geopolitical climate of warfare as their economy is more industrial than high tech.
-
A lot of people(especially leftists) have what I think are terrible takes on the Ukraine war negotiations based on a stage green shadow i.e. massive ego while they're sitting comfortably in the west and not involved in the military conflict that has killed an estimated 250 000 people so far. https://x.com/theomniliberal/status/1889782161739489617 Destiny is involved in this so he's free to say whatever he wants but this unstrategic feels before reality mentality is prevalent and in this situation is getting thousands of people killed monthly. Even former ambassador Michael McFaul's take here sounds to me like it's based on naivety and foolishness rather than a valid sentiment that will save lives. This war should be stopped ASAP as Russia is prepared for a total war that will involve NATO and probably turn into WW3 if it's not settled now. They have already proven that they're all in and I don't see why we need to call that bluff as it's really not they've passed all the parliamentary measures to keep up and increase their military budget to 2026 and beyond.

I would encourage you to make a steelman for trump voters and that will help you understand them better as if you think they're mostly dumb you're misguided. Having said that alignment of values is paramount for dating especially long term so if you don't resonate with them that's a valid take. I would make your dating strategy global as there are plenty of men worldwide that are not trump supporters nor weak soyboys.
