Pick one Habit and commit to it 100%. Take Enlightenment at a steady pace. If you are new I would start by implementing a simple 20min meditation practice and a daily reading practice. After about 90 days of meditation, you can start contemplation, Self Inquiry or Yoga (kriya, kundalini, deity, etc) Wish you well and please ask any questions -

Yes , but if you find it hard don't do them. In Kundalini Exposed Gamana says to practice the bandas 50 times each every day until they are easy. -

@luismatos there is nothing wrong with mainstream yoga. It just depends on what your goals are. If you have never meditated and feel stressed then mainstream yoga will help with that. -

@Paan use them during yoni mudra , Mahamudra and Kriya Supreme Fire for a more powerful practice. -

@Paan 1 ) Its a good course but most who attend arent seeking enlightenment. The online / lecture bit is alright but a little basic. The whole purpose is to learn shambavi. Shambavi is a great practice but not the most powerful. Its a requirement for Sadhgurus higher courses. If you can find a teacher who knows Shambavi and ask them to give it to you or if not take the course. 2) Dont start another Spiritual form of yoga because it will be too much to do both everyday. In the back of KSR book there is instruction to Kriya Hatha. Try that and slowly add hatha into your kriya routine. If you havent tried Kundalini yoga, give it a go and make your preference your daily style. -

Get to this stage everyday and begin to practice your technique. Stick with one technique for at least 100 days of practice. I like the roll out method but find one that you like. -

I doesn't matter if it is real or not. Sadguru is awake but that means nothing. Take his advice but know that it doesn't matter. All his teachings are lies and 100% false. But so are your's , mine and leo's. So know it is meaningless. -

Well, my experience hasn't been too positive. I now find it hard to sit for long periods of meditation whereas I did not before. Spiritual Sickness, doubts that enlightenment is real Attatchment to dogma , wanting the seeking to stop. Considering joining a religion. Thoughts about death, lots of suicidal thoughts Over emotional reactions Deep compassion for everyone else - sadness for their unfortunate situation Sleepless nights Paranoia - think you see things like ghosts and demons Nilhism Lazing around feeling lathargic Aversion to routine Low appetite Seeing life in persepective But this is all part of the process. Dont let you put this off. -
I'm here to clarify my intent and make myself accountable. I'm going read one book a day for the whole of August, totaling 31 books. If anyone wants to join in they are free to. If you think unrealistic to read that many books, then I challenge you especially. You can use audiobooks and ebooks. Actually, I prefer audio books because of the 2X speed function. You can take a book that takes 7 or so hours and half the time. Finding 3.5 hours of time where you can listen doesn't seem that extreme. In the rare case, you cant read a full book one day, you are allowed to read/listen to a book summary. But don't rely on these, your only cheating yourself. I know some books are extremely long and so it is allowed to read it over multiple days as long as finish one book every day. You have a week to prepare if you want to join in.

@herghly The 1st initiation techniques are to last you at least 2 years .There is no need to rush. I would at least spend 6 months on KP1 and 2. But you're free to move as you see fit. -

Invest in a mala, they don't cost much. But if you really want to count on your fingers, you use the thumb to rest on each joint, 3 joints times 4 fingers equals 12, half of KP1 -

Learn to channel then you can comment on its validity. There are many books out there that tell you how to do it.Come back in a year -

@herghly Kriya is designed to open the Chakras slowly. Doing Mahamudra stimulates Mudladhara and causes energy to build up there. If the energy is not moved through practice of KP1, the chakra will become overactive and when a chakra is overactive it pulls energy from the surroundind into it. Remember that chakras are seen as vortexes of energy. The goal of kriya is to bring the energy up the spine , not down. -
YogiLogan replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mart&@herghly NO! You must build up to it slowly. You can do more but you need to increase all the other exercises proportionally. Its dangerous to do one exercise without the others . -

@Viking If you have to take quick breaths you have yet to master the preparatory Pranayama. Add more to your routine and over time you will increase your breathing capacity Just rest your eyes on Anja, don't strain -
YogiLogan replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Viking place your awareness on anja for three seconds at the peak of the breath then the breath will still. -
YogiLogan replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Viking The breath should be circular like when performing Shamanic Breathing. The breath must be really slow so perhaps do some slow , deep breathing before hand. Ujjay Pranayama and Nadi Sodana are supposed to be used to slow your breathing. You could try adding more of each. If you exhale too much air then you know that the breath wasn't slow enough , and thus long enough. If you cant straighten the leg during Mahamudra then do it to the point of a light stretch . You want to be able to touch the feet rather than have a straight leg. Build up to 20 ॐ's .Start small.Your practice is going to stay relitively the same for the rest of your life, so take it easy. Make sure you master the previous lessons . -

You can but after you max out KP1 and KP2. -
YogiLogan replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Increase repetitions of KP1 and KP2 to at least 24 breaths , 12 isnt really enough. -
Learn the theory - read as much as you can Take a meditation retreat Introspect on your life through journaling If you can do this you can maximize your summer

@Nagma Its not Kriya but his technique seems more spiritual than most western teachers. Give it a go , it might work for you. @Paan Kriya is gentler than say kundalini Yoga but you could have whats called a 'Kundalini Awakening' or if your not ready for it chakras opening and spiritual experiances occuring like lucid dreams, trauma arising and vision of angels and ghosts perhaps visions of your own death . Watch Leo's video on the dark side of meditation, research the 3rd eye and its dangers and prepare yourself. You are ready to proceed when you can perform the techniques effortlessly. This is about 1 month per technique in the 'book' the first 20 lessons take about 2-3 years of practice.
