  1. Most 'real' hatha is secret and given under the instruction of a guru. I belive hatha is the hardest to find techniques for without joining an organisation. Sadhguru has a greats courses on Hatha. Maybe try the free Upa Yoga and Isha Kriya first to see if you resonate with the teacher. Baba Ram Dev has DVD courses and books on Hatha, he seems legit so you could consider his course.
  2. I'm thinking about doing an at home kriya retreat maybe you could do something like that ? Spend some time writing out goals and mediatating. Before people recive initiation many go to a quite area outside ( camping or lodging) for a few days and meditate, spending time contemplating on its meaning and clearing themselves ready for initiation.
  3. @N8N Dont feel bad , the yoga is working. 4 months isnt long enough. Give it a year and assess it then . You can try different styles but youll have to start from point 0 . If enlightenment isnt your primary goal try some of the western hatha yoga or Sadhgurus Yoga course. @Paan At least once , The book recommends one long morning routine (40mins-1hr) and a short (15min) bedtime routine. You can do up to 3 sessions a day . Except if you are on spiritual retreat.
  4. Let go of expectation. Meditation takes years to become effortless and constant , come back in a years time and you'll see your level of peace has increased. The mind is hard to controll
  5. Gamanas book is a supplement to the large kriya course book and is vague. You dont have to do kriya to do real yoga. Sadhguru has some great spiritual hatha courses or maybe you could try kundalini. If your not serious about enlightenment its best not to start kriya so make sure your ready and commited. Most hatha yoga is simple stretching and has little spiritual affiliation.
  6. @Hello from Russia Isha kriya is a good practice ,ideally you want to be initiated by Sadhguru into Shambavi Mahamudra , thats where progress is made. Kriya means internal action toward god , Karma means external action. Hatha yoga is a legitamate path to enlightenment but the genuine techniques are seldom given out online and never for free. Ishas advanced programs are supposed to be where Hatha yoga gets real Have you started doing Kriya ?
  7. Ta-dah, thats enlightement. Stop searching for a reason because there isnt one. The universe just happend, consciousness just happend. There is no meaning to it, it just is. You still have a way to go, be radically open minded and trust the proccess.
  8. Are you doing it every day? At the same time ? Are you doing it to your best ability ? Are you focusing on each action and taking your time ? If yes , your fine. Take your time moving through the techniques. The rules are helpful , restraining your self has positive benefits but not vital and wont ruin your practice.
  9. True , kriya is secret for a reason. If your not going to commit to it for the rest of your life dont even start yoga. A guru is good for most people who arent very serious, those who cant keep a simple 5 min meditation habit, because he keeps the strong techniques back and keep the student going. Have you heard about people opening their chakras and having scary experiances or being driven insane? This is what happens when yoga is half arsed. Those people need a guru.
  10. 1) you do not lose any prana and , while in that state, cannot naturally die. Conserving prana increases your time alive ,giving you more time to reach liberation. 2) The gland is asociated with hormones and can induce spiritual experiances. It is the physical gland of the anja chakra and when stimulated physically , mentally or spiritually may induce psychadellic effects.. 3) prana is limited and when it runs out you die , according to yogic science. Prana is linked to the breath , breathing slow conserves prana while breathing fast wastes it. In yoga you have a finite number of breaths. On page 81 of the book there is a diagram. Prana moves from the base chakra to the throat chakra and exits the body . Hope it helps
  11. Its an important mudra because it closes off the energy gate at vishuddha. If you do full kechari Mudra and easy pose you will not lose any prana and thus be immortal. KM stimulated the pituitary gland and the top of the spine. There is little danger other than pain from overstretching . If you can do it , do it otherwise use limited kechari mudra
  12. I have recently learned the 'secret' technique shambavi Mahamudra from Sadhguru's Multi-day Yoga course. This technique is supposed to be an extremely powerful technique to separate from the body and mind and takes around 20 mins. I have already an established 40 -50 minute Kriya Routine and am considering adding Shambavi Mahamudra to my routine, before the concentration at the end. Would this be wise or is this mixing Yoga Schools and not advisable? Thank You
  13. He is but he hasnt got far with ' our' book. If your using a different technique then his videos are good.
  14. He teaches from the position of an SRF student, his videos are good for beginners and those taking the SRF path. If you read the 'book' you see that the SRF has corrupted the techniques.
  15. Two 'states' of the same 'thing'. Used for describing different actions of god/consciousness/intelligence etc.. Everything arises from consciousness by the will of intelligence ( which is consciousness)
  16. If you do enough repetitions and for long enough It will work. While the technique is important, your mindset and connection is more important. Sadhguru does 20s worth of yoga and it can all be done mentally. The technique is a vector to deliver you to yog (union ) but not the path in itself .@BuddhaTree Do what works as long as you stick to it. Good - work to increase KP1. You can skip the preparatory exercises if you want to reduce time.
  17. Do you meditate ? Do you do 'real Yoga' ? Do you perform self inquiry ? Have you taken psychedelics ? Have you read enough on Enlightenment? Have you tried shamanic Breathing ? You are looking for enlightenment , try some of these techniques. Leo has Videos on them. Peace
  18. Just surrender to the love that radiates. Find the feeling that you dislike , whats causing the pain which leads to addiction and sit with it .Accept it. Surrender.
  19. Set backs occur daily but the progress through the momentum of positive actions created outweighs them .
  20. Your ego got it, I trust.
  21. You need to remove everything. Any thing in the room will become a distraction. Remove books, pens, choice of clothing etc... Your room should feel new and bare almost prison like but comfortable. For your first retreat I would advise you have a strict timetable and dont be too ambitious.Pick 1 or 2 techniques eg ) Walking and Sitting meditation , or contemplation and yoga and focus on that. Dont aim for hours of meditation start with 4-6 hours and over time build up to 20-22. As for techniques the best for long sittings are strong determination sitting or the meditation retreat classic, vipassana. Decide before and draw up a 24hr plan. Any choice to make will become a strong distraction. Wish you luck.
  22. Your routine sounds good. Perhaps work to max out repetitions of KP1, adding another breath each day up until you can do 24. Then KP2 and KP3. Kriya pranyama is the most important technique. Ive found it helpful to do KP1 for an a hour or two at a different time for a week or so. It makes the usual 24 effortless and increases level of mastery.
  23. Its all part of the procedure. Most westeners dont make progress with medtation and yoga. Real Yoga goes beyond the ego and then comes back When you come back from a transandental state the ego thinks its dying and presents itself as stronger.
  24. Follow the book, lesson by lesson. Each lesson should take about 1 a week. You'll get to KP2 and KP3 once you've completed the previous lessons.
