Would it be so bad if deep down we're all doing this to feel better and that all it is? I don't think so

@Leo Gura Are you open to change what you believe is the Truth in the future, presented with good evidence, or by having even more powerful awakening experience which will contradict the previous ones? Are you sometimes trying to find arguments against what you believe is the Truth? Don't you think there is a small possibility that this experience is showing you the truth about your own consciousness, your own model of the world that you live in but not about the universe?

Never heard of anybody enjoying fear. There are awakened people out there who are taking psychiatric medications because of fear and its consequences on mood, sleep etc. I truly believe that we are shaped by our genetics to a very high degree

From my own experience, in the finding and testing what works process, it's best to look for: the number of self-referential thoughts, feeling of being 'you' looking out the world behind eyes (if it has changed), reactivity/emotions, being in the moment (more flow)

@Derek White Nevermind. I misread your post. By agencylessness I mean no sense of agency. Like literally if you take your hand in front of you and move it, does it feel like you are responsible for this movement? Like you are moving these fingers? If not - you have no sense of agency

@Derek White If you close your eyes and count to 10 in the head, isn't that thinking? My memory also has gotten worse since agencyless state. I still do have problems with anxiety, unfortunately.

@KP_Spirituality27 You do not want anything. Without an ego, you are free of desire. In this state, I didn't even know what sex is.

I plan to do a breakthrough dose like once a day for a while, once I get off fucking SSRI's. For me, low-moderate doses are very hedonistic and not challenging at all, but once I get past a certain dosage, even 3mg makes an insane difference, like I took a different drug. I always get great love filled afterglow after 5-MeO. BTW Is it worth it to try 5-MeO while being on SSRI's? Or would it be a waste of a substance?

My mind was wandering a lot. Forgot to think a mantra many times. Seriously nothing crazy, just like you can imagine someones first meditation ever would be. Keep in mind that at the time I had no interest or knowledge of spirituality whatsoever But it went like this: The timer starts ringing. I got up from the sofa, though nothing of it. I laughed a lot some minutes after but that may be just coincidence. Next, I'm walking to the gym and then I felt something weird like I'm lighter(?) and spacey. Did my workout. Then I went to a local shop and at that point, I started to strongly suspect that something is going on, but I couldn't point my finger on what it was (and I completely forgot about the meditation I did, not connecting the dots yet). My realization happened walking back on a parking lot when I realized that my sense of being a self in my head looking at the world has changed and now it feels like I'm larger than my body.

I don't consider myself spiritually gifted. I don't have any of these except Intrest in metaphysics and Truth which I developed after my awakening 2 years ago. Me 2,5 years ago: unable to concentrate, constant mind wandering, unable to feel any love, naturally very neurotic and aversive, think spirituality is bullshit, almost certain that materialistic paradigm is true. And yet I awakened to some degree (no-self insight, stream-entry, Location 1, or whatever we may call it) literally after my first 20 minutes mantra meditation ever, which I did out of boredom when scrolling youtube and saw some TM video. Since then I moved way beyond that and also trained high concentration (this was actually harder for me than awakening). Me now: sometimes able to get to effortless laser-like concentration (depending on how much I practice), no sense of agency at all, sometimes I feel very strong ecstasy and love, still get anxious and afraid but I'm able to cope with it better, not sure if the materialistic paradigm is true. I don't think you have to be gifted but rather you have to be lucky to find a method matched with you.

@Leo Gura Some people report "infinite white light" I guess with eyes open as well. Are you considering this to be too high of a dose to the point of a "whiteout"? Does whiteout only apply to 5-MeO? When I had my breakthrough on DPT with eyes open, there was no white light, but it seemed like time stopped, the boundary between my body and the rest of the world dissolved, and I entered into this very solipsistic, unified consciousness. I still remember "seeing" but no movement. With 5-MeO I still have not gone this far, but my dosages haven't been big enough either, however even on sub breakthrough dose of 5-MeO for me there were some white flashes covering up my vision which I think would take over my entire field of view on a breakthrough.

@Serotoninluv Jeffery Martin's study, and my own experience. Before you say that it's just insight into no-self, be aware that he studied thousands of so called enlighten people at this point, so it would be evident that some of them have other enlightenment that includes 5-MeO God infinite love or however Leo claim enlightenment can be.

@Adam M Awakened/enlightened people have ego's (otherwise they couldn't even communicate), so it's not that ego reforms back. What I mean is that Leo's 5-MeO trips which he takes as "Ultimate Reality" have almost nothing to do with how it is to be enlightened. Leo makes assumptions about enlightenment from his trips, that are incorrect. Enlightened people don't feel infinite love or infinite goodness/intelligence. It's more like a state of disidentification from ego with no sense of agency.

Leo talks mainly about drug induced temporary experiences which is fine, whether they are a mental construct or not. Enlightenment, however, is about a persistent change in the experience of being you and it's completely different.
