Wouldn't the promised land of self-actualization be when you "go back" to your ordinary life (packed with so much wisdom and instruments in your "backpack") that every ordinary moment and even uncomfortable situations feel like bliss, because you never forget how incredibly magical it is to be alive?
-
So, it feels like there is no more need to go on anymore hero's/heroine's journey? Could that possibly be true?

Isn't self-actualization all about realizing your very own mental issues? About realizing how your subconscious mind has been deceiving you to see who/what you truly are? Isn't it always easier to say "others" have mental issues than "I" have mental issues? -

@Leo Gura Aren't you clinging to your 5-Meo theory like some physicists to their theory that they can explain the universe with math? Isn't it kind of the same? ? What are the benifits of clinging to this theory? Isn't it more important that you got there (to a point where you understand how things work and understand your own evil)? Wouldn't it be smarter if people come and ask you how you accomplished this instead of insisting that your way is the smartest/easiest way? Could it be that there are other ways? P.S. I'm not questioning that 5-Meo works. -

@Leo Gura Did I see this correctly? Are you defending yourself here? ? @to those who badly want to see a dark side in Leo: Have you watched the 4h+ video? Isn't he exposing his dark side enough there? Isn't he exposing yours and mine, too? (Obviously, I'm posting this as nasty ego-identity ? who clearly has a deep need to be "seen", a deep need to help others (typical feminine issue, you know?) and a need to occur as smart as heck. Yes, I still have some work to do, haven't I? But I also know that these are "thoughts" and I can choose to believe them or not. Can you choose that, too? ?) P.S. Isn't it your=my=our choice what we "take home" from Leo's videos? Why would anyone think that they/we have to literally do whatever Leo says? -
?=? How am I still the devil? Have I really worked through all my issues with men? No. How about my collective ego - am I completely independent from any kind of liberal/green identity? No. Got some work to do my friends. Some serious work that probably requires that I leave this forum. ?
-
Sooo, question of the day: Am I still lying to myself? ? Of course. Would I be here otherwise? ?
-
Uhhh, this looks really interesting, @tsuki! I guess it goes along a bit with personal vs. collective ego as well ("the pendulum swinging").

@Leo Gura I'm glad you have the ability to transcend your ego sometimes, Leo! (I'm refering to the last 15 min of the new 4h + video). Gives me a reason to stick around ? Now the question becomes, how could the other "gurus" possibly learn about what you just did? And how would they possibly be able to do the same? That would change the game quite a bit, wouldn't it? (I know I need to practice patience, bla ... ? And who am I to dare to suggest such a thing anyways ?.... what an arrogant ego-identity am I, who doesn't have anything better to do? ?).

Of course :-) I'm already contemplating & plotting ;-) I feel like I have gone through several hero's cycles (as defined by Joseph Campbell), but only one heroine cycle (as Maureen Murdock defines it). It would also be interesting to know what you think about her heroine's cycle and if you have gone through something like that as well
-
Yep, the dream theatres :-) I will check out the others - thank you
-
@Emerald Sure! I enjoyed Jean Raffa, too. ;-)

But this time, I'm quite sure that it will be different, because as I go on this ("hero's") journey I have learned to ask myself: Am I taking enough care of myself first before I help others? Am I saying "no" often enough? Isn't it enough? As long as I can answer these 3 questions with a "yes" I know I will be at peace. If you read this and it peaked your interest (maybe you are a woman, too?) - this book will open your eyes: Maureen Murdock "The heroine's journey" (and again, thank you @Emerald for suggesting this book!)
-
After a bit more contemplation, I would say that I have gone through one big cycle of Maureen Murdock's heroine's journey, but through several hero's journey cycles and each time I finished one of those it implied going one stage up in the Spiral Dynamics model. (I know to many people this post will sound completely arrogant ) But to those of you, who don't think it's arrogant - what do you think? Was it similar in your journey?
-
Isn't it always our choice to split and come together again?
-
For pure entertainment, maybe? Or maybe because I=you=we have this tiny tiny hope that people could "wake up" a bit more?
-
Let me answer with a video - can you take in this energy, Tsuki? Will my answers ever be satisfying enough?
-
Did I say there is a difference? lol

@tsuki What made you think that I thought it was about "me"? Isn't our whole discussion here about I=you=we? Wouldn't it be great, if you find it out "yourself"? lol
