  1. Of course, Ether! It's so much fun to watch these - it's addictive isn't it? And I mean look at all these needy posts I made, desperately searching for like-minded people. Lol.
  2. @Samra: How did your meeting with the head psychologist go?
  3. Why does it look to me like we are getting into a game of the "prisoner's dilemma"?
  4. Yes - by factor of millions. If I would actually die within the next minute, I wouldn't have regrets about anything I didn't accomplish or do.
  5. Interesting thread. I don't agree with many things that Leo says, but I understand that he is using subtle statements (e.g. "all the spiritual people and altruists are lyers", I think it was in the video "how you lie") as pointers so I can use my brain and ask myself if this could be true. I would love to see a thread about "Topics, where you agree with Leo" - who would respond to that? Yeah, and sorry, this reply is full of self-agenda... lol.
  6. Thank you, @Joseph Maynor Good one, see, I know why I'm here.... also to get this kind of feedback.... lol. No, I'm not here to get anything....lol.
  7. @Colin Yeah, interesting parallel with VR. :-) Maybe I should have written: "let's pretend" Super-Mario could point to the screen.... It's just a little thought experiment. I think it has so many parallels to what we are trying to do here with self-actualization. In a way we are Super-Marios realizing that we are "living" inside a video game and we can't seem to get out. Although some Super-Marios seem to be enlightened already somehow and seem to be pointing to the screen (like Leo, right?) - or maybe he is already sitting outside the screen with his VR helmet on and influencing the ruleset. Haha.... So, if we could think out the end, how would it end?
  8. @Joseph Maynor: Where do you see yourself?
  9. Well, I came here because I thought I would find some like-minded people... but yeah, I'm still very much caught up in my "how can we save this world?" view sometimes. I don't want to come across as arrogant, but I think I'm mostly green in the spiral dynamics model (and yes, I'm dealing with the consequenses of that ). Other times I'm caught up with doing nothing, feeling the Absolute and having mystical experiences. So, I'm slowly finding my balance and I'm wondering where it leads to. For now, it brought me here....
  10. @Samra: Yeah - that will be interesting to see how the head psychologist responds. Please tell us :-) Actually, it sounds like an interesting topic to explore - the companies that earn a lot of money with spiral dynamics, which tier and meme would they fall into?
  11. @Dodo Life is a continuous soup-piss - is that really true?
  12. The fear of death - another concept I found helpful (I think it was Byron Katie, who mentioned it): Why do we tend to think that being dead is worse than being alive?
  13. @Leo Gura Hi Leo, do you feel like you have a better feeling for your intuition now after this 30 day retreat?
  14. Oh jeeze, look how we are all gossiping (yes, me included). Obviously, we are not done self-actualizing and we have a @Leo Gura addiction. Leo, we miss you - when will you be back?
  15. Wow, I didn't realize how spicy this topic is here . Self-actualized or not, I will be helping to clean up our planet on June 5th: http://worldenvironmentday.global And it's completely ok if you guys don't ?
  16. Isn't it "enough" if we are simply aware of our addictions? Because then we can already "be free": we can decide to stay addicted in that particular moment or we can decide to not follow the addiction's call this time. Either way we are able to make a conscious choice and we can choose not to judge ourselves for whatever we decide. I mean let's face it - how shall we break free from thinking or from looking at our phones? We would have to go and live in the forest or become a monk meditating all day. Also, if we would break free from our addiction to think, we wouldn't have a reason to rethink our life purposes, lol. And yes, I'm posting this because I have an addiction to thinking and because I love Leo's teachings. But I also like to question them ?
  17. Yeah, I thought I would find a network of like-minded people here - nice! I know "Let's get shit done" sound like pressure, but it's the small steps that are the key element. #Bethechange you want to see in the world.
  18. Yeah, thank you @Perfect Improvement! I'm not just talking to myself So, what do you do? Wanna brainstorm a bit more?
  19. So, Leeeeeeooooo and everyone who feels a bit like getting shit done! The United Nations are calling for - what I think is one of the first opportunities of a stage yellow/turquoise (systemic and holistic) action to clean up our planet on June 5th: http://worldenvironmentday.global/en Don't miss it, you will regret it! And Leo, you said for example that green people just seem to get together and talk and don't produce results. I think the solution is that these people should listen to you. But who am I to give advice, haha, what evil and manipulative mind I have. Lol. So even though it's lots of talking, I think one can see a glimpse that some people are up to something: Barack and Michelle Obama are not done yet: https://www.obama.org/ Bill and Melinda Gates aren't either: https://www.gatesfoundation.org/ Peter Singer isn't either: https://www.effectivealtruism.org/ Change is coming, I will be part of it - will you, too?
  20. Let me share my vision with you guys: A world with less suffering! My basis is that people who have an interest in self-actualizing/spirituality/enlightenment have most likely suffered during some point of their life, most likely in childhood but it could also be a sickness that has put this person a bit closer to their death bed. Also anyone who has been in a warzone etc. So that together is a huge number of people that could potentially change the world. As someone who has involuntarily suffered a brain bleed, I would start with the most obvious group - patient organizations. Teach these people some basic concepts how not to fall into a depression but instead look for a creative life-purpose. I love to create and I have been creating artwork with trash, things people would usually throw away. You can even make useful items not just art (just google "upcycling"). So, imagine the possibilities to clean up this planet, re-use things, get creative and #bethechange you want to see in this world. Less trash, more happy people and I'm sure it will inspire even healthy people. Don't you think?
  21. You are right @Joseph Maynor. Addictions are the worst of our inner daemons.
  22. I see - I get it now... "80 % with no results" (I know I might be judging prematurely here, but hey - proof me wrong!) .... almost wants me to leave this forum right away, but my intuition makes me come back. I don't know why, at least not yet. But Leo, if you happen to see this - could you team up with the 5% somehow?
  23. @electroBeam Are you Leo? Just kidding...
  24. These two videos are really eye-opening ;-)
  25. Yeah, our behavior and ability to learn depends so much on where we were born and on our childhood programming. Everyone is "just" trying to cope somehow. With spiral dynamics, I can understand much better now how people think and what drives them and I can feel empathy for them instead of getting caught up in judgemental thoughts. From my own experience, I understand now that people who "want to see you suffer" probably felt like victims as a child and once they are in a position where they can make someone else suffer, they find some sort of joy in it.
