  1. I'm currently reading "The hero with a thousand faces" by Joseph Campbell and "The heroine's journey" by Maureen Murdock, while drawing parallels to the "Never-ending story" by Michael Ende. I'm simply blown away by the amount of potential reframing ? If we find similar patterns in different books and look at the variations, maybe we could come to an even deeper understanding?
  2. @tsuki Ignore these ? - that's just bug I encounter when typing this on the phone. ? Seems like we could have an infinite conversation, couldn't we? But don't we stay stuck in our heads/fingers as long as we keep typing? Isn't it time to apply what we have learned? ?
  3. Let me rephrase @tsuki ? Do you=I=we think we=I=you do anything else than surrender to paradoxes? The conversation we are having does feel a bit like cuddling, probably because it is so deep and we feel understood, maybe? Although I get the feeling that we understand less and less now the longer it keeps going ?, could it be so?
  4. @tsuki Do you think I do anything else than surrender to paradoxes? My thoughts feel like shapeshifters these days. I totally get your perspective - do you get mine, too? ? Again, I love how you derive "your" perspective and it feels just like mine. ?
  5. So, I have always accepted the call and I don't see a reason to refuse this one either. In fact, I'm already on the way ... only counting down the days now to start an intensive period of training in the politics (& issues behind the scenes) of patient advocacy.
  6. Did I say that you should fly them at the same time? ? I think it can't hurt trying different types of dragons ?
  7. ?? yeah let's take a break and laugh a little ?? It's one of the most efficient ways to heal, isn't it? ? Deep discussions like this may also need a bit more time for contemplating, don't they? Interesting that I wrote REFLECTIONS - that actually requires a mirror plane (at least in crystallography), whereas PROJECTIONS tend to enlarge small images onto a big screen. Hmmm, and INVERSIONS are reflections through a central point. In crystallography, there are also screw-axes and glide planes, but maybe that's a topic for another day ??
  8. @tsuki Why don't you want to learn how to fly dragons? @tsuki I noticed in your drawing that the word REFLECTION was reflected, but the Earth was inverted. Was that on purpose?
  9. After cleaning all those mirrors, I got some ringing in my ears now, or wait, is that someone calling? (no, it's not the first time this happens... how many times have I been through the cycle? oh jeeze...)
  10. @tsuki We could also treat the statement "the world needs healing" as illusion and the statement "teacher=student" as reality or both as illusion or both as reality. After all, reality = illusion, right? @now is forever I love the way you approach this - a totally different perspective and still kind of the same (at least it feels like that to me.)
  11. @tsuki Would it help if you treat the statement "the world needs healing" as reality and the statement "teacher=student" as illusion (it usually is, right?). So, if we want to change reality, it would help if we don't stay stuck in an illusion, wouldn't it?
  12. That's why i chose Zweistein as name here in the forum "zwei ist ein" translates to "two is one", duality is non-duality, reality is illusion. I am nothing and all (people, animals, plants, rocks, books,....) at the same time. Oh what a fool I'm making out of myself now ?
  13. Oh I love how you reframe ? Me, too ??
  14. Oh - that's a good one. Let me contemplate a little ? Hehe, yeah again, this is just the beginning ??
  15. Exactly, they do! It's a pleasure contemplating with you both. I have learned a lot in our discussions. Same here. I learn a lot by observing what I'm tempted to write. Wait, I hope you don't believe that you made a fool of yourself, do you? ? Either we choose that you=I=we made a fool of ourselves here or we choose that you=I=we didn't. I prefer to believe the latter ? Yeah, there are still so many things to discover... It feels like this is just the beginning ? Embodiment is a wonderful question to contemplate. Are we ready to reveal how else we embody the you=I=we? ?
  16. @tsuki If I interprete it correctly, you would like to hear from Leo a statement like this: teacher = pupil/student, right? (at least that's what I would interprete into our whole discussion here ?, that you want to "meet" in the absolute, maybe?) The question then is: why do you need to hear this from him? What are you projecting then? If you decide in your mind that teacher = pupil/student, everything ist already solved - that's how I prefer to see it and with that I'm completely at peace. P.S. Maybe @now is forever, you and I communicate so well because there is no such boundary between us?
  17. There are many possibilities - it could be a boundary to some, a mirror to others, a door or gate or even all of those at the same time ?
  18. The author of the "Never-ending story" Michael Ende didn't like how the movie turned out, btw. But yeah, i think it would be lovely - we can put our interpretations in a journal here in the journal forum.
  19. Let me see if I can put it into better words ... Let's assume for a minute, we would actually all agree that the paradoxes absolute = relative and student = teacher are true. Could we then also realize that if we keep believing in these two statements (is this being 100% nihilists maybe?), chances for humanity are lower to heal by significant amounts. There are maybe a few people that are able to live a blissful life, but if they don't become teachers, nobody else benefits from what they have learned. So, if more and more brave heros/heroines start teaching, the more efficient healing can happen, right? It reminds me - we wanted to discuss the connection between nihilism and learning a bit more ? I enjoy conversations like this, too, as long as we don't get stuck - lol ?
  20. @tsuki I used to suffer quite a bit until ~1,5 years ago, since then most of my days have been filled with blissfull moments - I am simply happy to be alive after having had a hemorrhagic stroke (January 2017). Since then I was not scared about encounters with the absolute anymore, I started embracing them because I realized that as long as I can feel this kind of ultimate surrender - I'm actually alive. I have been journaling since I was 14 years old (1992), started with shadow work 5 years ago, serious self-inquiry 2,5 years ago (Byron Katie's work), contemplation and meditation a year ago and I have been diving more seriously into my dreamworld for several weeks now. So, yes, I have been polishing my mirrors, but I guess everyone here realizes that this kind of work is not easy and one can never be 100% sure that there is no dirt left. I definetively know that i have a choice - and I choose to embrace rather than suffer. Do I suffer from feeling lonely? No, I love being alone. That's when I can reach the most peaceful state of mind. Nowadays, it's only a tiny tiny wish to find like-minded people and if I don't find them it's ok, too. @tsuki How about you?
  21. You have quite some points there, that I even observed in myself. And what happens, if we contemplate: Does polishing the mirror make anyone suffer?
  22. If we contemplate, could it be true that women have some sort of "watching out that nobody gets hurt" attitude/gene/mother instinct? Does that help to understand what @now is forever means? P.S. Does everyone have their feelings "under control" still? Or, let's put it that way, can we still use them wisely to keep learning from this discussion? @now is forever May i cite you? (Please correct, if I remember it wrongly) "After throwing a wheel, it's all a matter of returning to the center fast enough" ?
  23. @tsuki If we=you=I contemplate, is it true that we cannot break/escape the cycle, what result would we=you=I get? Do you wanna contemplate insights one can gain from reading the "Never-ending story"? I know it's freaky, it's a children's book. But I think it was written for the younger generation on purpose. P.S. it feels to me like we are talking about the same things with different words.
