What is your life purpose? I don't see you talk about life purpose.
-
Why don't you kill lions, too?

It's difficult to read these images. I suggest jotting them down. Leo suggests embracing paradox. This suggests not allowing paradox. Neurotic needs to solve confusions and paradoxes can make you unhappy. Be ok with paradoxes.

For example, if he wanted to cut a handsomer guy's face with a knife, then I would not want to be near him. I'm worried that there might be people who would cut, libel, cheat, insult, and deceive competitors to ensure ego survival on this forum. If there was, I would have to adjust my expectations about human ego and how far an average human ego would go for little advantages. In the future, I might have to be a bit more machiavellian and expect libel from others for tiny competitive advantages that I have.
-
Learn to recognize that competitors usually can work with you to grow the market. Also, in the case of golf and martial art, more audience will come when there are more top-tier competitors. Economic growth is not a zero-sum game. It is a co-operative and competitive process. Do you feel tempted to cheat, deceive, and libel to crush the competition?
-
You're a terrible human being. You are Red.
-
You sound like Red. Elon Musk is primarily Orange, and he publicly welcomed competitions. Don't hate competition. Enjoy competition. Try to remain competitive and stay on top. In theory, if you knew you worked harder than 99.9% of people as Elon Musk does, you wouldn't worry about competitions. You would worry about not living up to your potential instead.

You should watch TJ Reeves' videos. Start with I summarized that video on

In that video, Noah Elkrief said something in the line of "Imagine hot coal and an ice cube. Which one is hotter? Neither is hotter because both exist in your imagination." He pointed out that your self image also exists in your imagination. People who insult you are trying to worsen your self image. Criticisms and insults are also pure imaginations which some people agree and some other people disagree. Compliments are pure imaginations, too. As long as you are affected by compliments, you are vulnerable to criticisms and insults. Everything that exists in your mind is not true because it doesn't exist in physical reality. If it doesn't exist in physical reality, it is pure imagination. Your self image does not exist in physical reality. But, your fingers do. There may be social issues, but talks about social issues are pure imaginations that exist only in human mind. The talks are pure imaginations. Hot coal in your imagination is not hot. Social issue in your mind is not real. Your self image tells you you're smart, stupid, ugly, attractive, and so on. But, your self talk is not actual reality. Talk is pure imagination. Watch this video. This video ties well into

I kind of resonated with the following video, so I summarized it for others. The human ego cannot stand to perceive itself less than something. Thus, it begins its subconscious mission to knock anything that we see as higher than us, better than us off of its pedestal. We don't just fight for equality. We fight for superiority. We don't actually care about equality when we feel superior. Equality is not a reality in the realm of physicality where needs and personal preference exist. In a time of war, diamond is useless, but a bottle of alcohol has tons of value because of need. If you want to be taken care of financially, a rich man is more valuable than the most emotionally available man. In a company, employees' needs are not treated as equal to the needs of CEO. They can afford to lose workers but can't afford to lose CEO. If you meditated for 20 years, your opinion about meditation will matter much more than that of beginners. We need to fight for these three things instead of equality. Love To love is to take something as part of yourself. If slave owners considered slaves as part of themselves, the owners wouldn't treat slaves harshly. When we love something, we do best for that thing. We help it get what it wants. Awareness Question everything. Look at the perspectives and angles on everything in order to arise at a higher truth. Doing this means we transcend our ignorance, our illusion, and our prejudice. Intrinsic value Each individual needs to stop focusing on where he or she is inferior, and instead start focusing on and express the very unique and intrinsic values that make the person not only equal but superior. If we can do these three things, the negative manifestations that arise from the perception of inequality would not actually manifest and occur. You can never get rid of ego as long as you hold perspective that is differentiated. If you introduce yourself by one name, you have ego. The more intrinsic value you see in yourself for your own unique superiority, the less you care about your deficiencies. The less you care about your decifiencies, the more secure you are in terms of self concept. The more secure you are in terms of self concept, the less you will create the incredible manifestations of suffering that arise from insecurity relative to inequality. When you are willing to live according to your own unique instrinsic value(i.e. gifts), your purpose falls into your lap. When you can see the intrinsic value in others, you can lead them to their purpose instead of forcing them to try to improve their deficiencies so as to suit your needs. We believe inequality is wrong, and everything and everyone should be equal. That is when we are not in superior position. The reality is we are not equal. Equality is complete illusion. Equality is a judgement based on perceptual reality. In a world of differentiations, sameness does not exist. Men are inferior to women in terms of giving birth to children and raising them. Women are inferior to men in terms of physical power. One person may be good at math. Another person may suck at math but be good at writing. We need to be brave enough to accept that inequality is absolute reality of life. We need to accept that our inequalities actually point to our purpose in life. Ask yourself and honestly admit to where you feel superior and where you feel inferior. Equality is something that the ego has created. It is a figment of your imagination. We are not going to be able to make things equal in this world. Therefore, stop fighting for equality. What we need to fight for is love, awareness, and intrinsic value instead.

Leo says self actualization leads to destruction of self and self image. I'm confused.

@Andreas I watched and summarized that video. My center of gravity is no longer Orange although I still fully embody Orange because it suits my life situation at the moment. I'm being Orange more consciously.

I think this video delivers some useful tips quickly, so I summarized it. The person who's most likely to lie to you is yourself We have ego defense mechanisms that want to keep us safe from a survival perspective and safe from a self-image perspective. If we behave in a way that doesn't suit our self image, we tend to discount the evidence of that behavior. Look at all the emotionally charged areas in your life. You're likely lying to yourself. Put honesty before integrity We block ourselves from ever being able to be honest in the first place because we feel so much pressure to immeidately act with integrity. The way to deal with this is to give yourself permission to live in paradox. You have to use actions and the responses of people to describe who you are. Your actions might not be aligned with your self image. Your actions are better examples of who you are than your self image. Go to people who know you well. Ask questions about yourself. Be ready to embrace harsh feedbacks. Compared to other people you know, what is something I struggle with? In what ways, am I hypocritical? ... Make self awareness a habit You need at least 10 minutes of space every day It could be meditation, a walk outside, a massage session, and so on.

How do you know other people that you see are actual persons? What if they are part of the illusion just like characters in GTA 5? What if they don't have subjective experience that I have? After all, you haven't directly experienced other people's subjective experiences. You could right now be stuck in a virtual reality where you are the only subjective viewer. What if other people are as unconscious as toasters or computers or my keyboard? If the virtual reality you were stuck in was good enough, you wouldn't know the difference. -
What kind of programming do you mean?

I watched the following video and summarized it. AMRAP is an acronym for "as many reps as possible" AMRAP workouts challenge athletes to do a specific move as many times as they can within a set amount of time. These workout are intense. They can be a great way to track the progress over time. Modern life is filled with technological distractions. However, you almost never find your mind wandering from the present moment when you are in the middle of an AMRAP workout. When you are trying as hard as you can to raise your chin to that bar just one more time, you are completely focused on the task at hand. The level of shear intensity involved in AMRAP round makes it impossible to focus on your weekend plans, video games you played last night, and so on. Channel that intense focus and that present-mindedness you experience during intense workout to the rest of your life. AMRAP mentality is a useful visual metaphor that makes it easier to slip into the flow state with work. The process of using AMRAP mentality in 4 steps Identify your areas of focus. Make sure each has a strong internal "why". You should only have a few of these. Each of them should have strong internal reason. You should do this for micro goals as well as macro goals. Each day, write down a few things you want to accomplish, and apply AMRAP mentality to them. Choose one area, focus on it with all of your attention, and work hard at it. When you are riding a bike, your only focus is on where you are going. If you want to get where you are going with any amount of speed, you're going to crank those pedals hard. Switch gears, and do it deliberately with good reasons to do so. When this happens, you go back to step 2. Switching from one task to another task is like going from an AMRAP set of push-ups to another AMRAP set of pull-ups. Your focus calmly switches to the new thing, and all of your attention becomes fixated on it. Do frequent re-evaluations Sit often, and ask yourself "Do my areas of focus still make sense?" Your time, attention, and energy are all limited resources. My takeaway Leo's videos on productivity are powerful, but they don't seem to provide me with a simple engine of productivity. It takes hours to grok Leo Gura's videos. But, it takes less than 30 minutes to embody AMRAP mentality because physical metaphors are simple and powerful. My productivity plummeted after watching Leo's videos. I became too entangled in my thoughts to see the essence of productivity. Productivity is simple. It is as simple as AMRAP mentality. You should intensely work out your mind to the extent that it is impossible to focus on other things. You should also take proper rests regularly to recharge your fatigued mind. The engine should be simple. The maintenance of the engine and the vehicle is going to be complex. Thomas Frank equips you with an engine of productivity. Leo helps you with becoming a wiser driver of your life and maintaining the engine of productivity over months and years. Leo should do more workout so that he will utilize more exercise metaphors. Exercise is a powerful motivator. Doing 17 pull-ups during a break recharges my fatigued mind quickly. You should do it, too. You should also work out your mind while you work. Exercise your mind while you work. Exercise your body while you take rests from work. Make an exercise regime for breaks from work. I have one, too. While I take breaks from work, I do pull-ups, stretch my body, and so on. Apply AMRAP mentality to meditation, positive affirmation, and visualization Don't shirk mental exercises. Do as much of them as possible while you can. Take rests after exercising your mind.

This video seems to tie well into AMRAP mentality that I mentioned in my previous post. I deeply resonated with this video because pushing myself to my limits felt like a better form of meditation than being mindful of doing nothing. People limit meditation to just going to back to their breaths. That form of meditation is just practice for the rest of life. Your entire life is meditation, and meditation is your entire life. Practicing by focusing on the sensation of breath passing through your nostrils is equivalent to practicing slowly driving a car in an empty parking lot. The heart of zen is Setting up a series of practices for yourself Disciplining to allow yourself to contemplate the biggest questions that exist and feel more of your experience. Enligtenment is going to work and getting there on time. Meditation is Creating a new video Learning a new skillset that you have to learn Sticking to a plan appropriately and loosely with a beginner's mind and a mindset of freshness, accepting that whatever is coming up is a new experience different from all other experiences and diving deeper into it, not thinking that you are the expert all the time but instead allowing yourself to learn. Work-outs are part of meditation. Working out even when you don't feel like it is a heart of meditation. Falling off of the attention from the breath and going back to it is a metaphor for what we do in our lives. That's a metaphor for disciplines we have in our lives that help us become the best version of ourselves, realize our potential, and have enlightened lives. We all fuck up and fall off here and there. Noticing that we fuck up and fall off and coming back to those practices and habits and disciplines and actions to create better lives for ourselves is the point. As a result of your meditation practice, you should be a more successful person because you should be creating more successes in your life. You should be full of successes because you had each one of those practices that you set up and get done with each one of them. When you start falling off and are not doing what you could be doing and get right back to it, that is the heart of zen. You can create whatever you want to create, given enough time with these practices. Creating the life that you want is the byproduct and a result on the side of you focusing on doing things that you know are important to do. Focus on getting done with those practices. You're responsible. You owe it to yourself. You have an obligation to nail these practices that you know are important. Just do them. Just focus on doing them. Meditation isn't just sitting down. Meditation is the entire life. It is having those practices, noticing when you fall off, acknowledging it, and getting back to it. It is not focusing too much on goals, but focusing on the process. It's good to have end goals. It's good to challenge yourself. It's good to see whether what you are doing is creating what you want. But, it's always to focus on the process and on those practices.

@molosku So, should I do so many pull-ups that my arm muscles can't physically lift my body weight if I wanted to honor AMRAP mentality?

Is it actually a good approach? I suddenly started wanting to go to those prisons for freebies. It sounds like an uninformed decision based on ideal and opinions. I sense armchair policy makers who never studied criminology. Policy makers will benefit from more science and less opinions. Perhaps, do Green people want to be comfortable at prisons? Do they plan to put most people in prisons for slight infractions? That makes sense if Green people are going to put a man in prison for months for accidentally bumping his hand into a woman's ass. Perhaps, prison is becoming welfare for the poor.

I was just curious about what you got from the work. I know it's unrealistic to expect to learn much from others' experiences. Through the little amount of work that I did, I became a bit more aware and conscious. My thoughts became more flexible. But, I had to watch Thomas Frank's videos to become productive. This self actualization work doesn't give you an engine of productivity. It makes the driver wiser about one's own productivity.

Engage with her, but assume that your relationship with her can end soon. Plan for an exit strategy. Plan for bad outcomes including the possibility that she is a con artist. Don't let sexual urge blind you to her problems. You have to set realistic expectations. Just be ready for bad outcomes. It's probably going to fail in one way or another within a few months. Don't let bad outcomes metastasize into core aspects of your life. Learn from the experience. The positive side of failure is that marrying your first girl friend or the first woman you have sex with is probably a bad idea. You're anxious about failure. But, you have to expect failure and plan for it. After you have planned for failure, you will feel more confident.
